We stayed here as a guest of a military officer. What a special treat! The hotel was built in 1946 and many updates have obviously been implemented to give the hotel some modern conveniences while still maintaining its historic charm. The lobby, library, and other public areas are very elegant and formal yet we didn't feel out of place in... More

As guests of a member, we were excited to stay at this historic military club for four nights. The hotel is old but well maintained and it was a thrill to see the library on the 11th floor filled with so many Marine Corps historic objects. Even the lobby has cases of military honors that are fascinating. Best of all... More

I was looking forward to staying here again and to the happy hour they offer. Well the hotel is exactly the same as it was last time. the happy hour had changed and they were timing you on the drinks according to our waitress who had to make sure she didn't come back to our table to quickly. We will... More

This hotel has three price tiers; one for military, one for members of private clubs worldwide, and one for the general public. All the rates are good for the location and quality. Members of the military receive the lowest rates; the hotel has a free buffet breakfast and free drinks from 4:00 to 6:00 - so ;it can fill up... More

As a member the price is much cheaper than any other hotel in the city. They really take pride in the Marine heritage. Free happy hour drinks, good breakfast, comfy bed in a nice size room, centrally located, good food all around. I would stay again.

Great location to get about. Well equipped room and bathroom - very comfortable bed. Free drinks in the bar during the happy hour - an unexpected bonus!!. Friendly and helpful staff. Unique theme to hotel. Very good and wide ranging choice at breakfast - delicious too.

Building is a bit old but gives ambience. Well maintained, clean. Full breakfast included is the value. Reasonably priced for the location. I liked it, and come back again. I stayed with reciprocal privilege of the club I belong to back in Tokyo, Japan.

I stayed at the MMC for 4 week day nights. When you arrive, it's on the left hand side of Sutter Street. There's a 'white zone' for unloading. Take advantage of it. They have an arrangement with the Olympic Club garage up the block and this way you won't have to schlep your bags. I had a corner room which... More

My husband and I are both active duty military, so we got an incredible deal of $99/night. The hotel is old (like almost every other building in San Francisco), but it is in an incredible area, walking distance to catch the train or cable care. There are also tons of great restaurants just a short walk away. The happy hour... More

The check-in staff were not very forthcoming with information so we relied upon the info in the room and there was plenty. The hotel is clean and beautiful with a lot of character. We could here some noise from other rooms but it wasn't bothersome. We were on the 8th floor and the view was good. The breakfast was very... More
