Our friend in San Francisco was out of town so he booked us in here. We did have a little trouble actually locating the entrance.t that may have been because we had just flown in from the UK. Anyway - the foyer is amazing,. a real tribute to the U.S.A marine corps. took us a while to enjoy all the... More

This is a perfectly located urban hotel for military families. My husband, a retired Marine, thoroughly enjoyed the history throughout the hotel and the lovely library filled with artifacts, books, models, etc. It's an older hotel, but I appreciated the charm and history. I thought the rooms were in great condition, very large and clean. Everything was in working order... More

I am amazed that this hotel is in operation. I was in for a business conference and the hotel does not have air conditioning and their window air conditioner wasn't working. The hotel staff was like - sorry if you cannot breathe but we cannot change your room or refund anything. They were going to bring up a fan but... More

We stay at this hotel for 4 nights. We had a speedy check in and shown to our room within a few minutes. The hotel itself is old but nice. Rooms very spacious and comfortable. We stayed on a higher floor and had next to zero noise. They offer a decent breakfast with nice views of the city. If you can... More

Stayed here right after the Fourth of July. The staff, for the most part, was accommodating. Our room with two doubles was clean, nice, but very small...as was the bathroom. The roll-away that we had asked for made it almost impossible to get around in the room. We didn't spend much time there so it didn't matter too much. The... More

The hotel is older but nice. The staff is very friendly and helpful. If you can walk and drag your luggage up some hills I recommend taking the BART train from the airport to the Powell station. It is much less than a taxi and is probably faster in rush hour.

I was here for a business trip and stayed three nights. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. It's an older building near Union Square so it had a lot of character. Great location near the Powell Street cablecar stop. It was interesting because of all the Marine Corp memorabilia. It's a club for current and former Marines, but non-military... More

Nested right near Union Square, this hotel has most everything you could ever want! A stone's throw to the trolleys, China Town and shopping! The beds are super comfy and a complimentary happy hour and breakfast each morning are included. The staff is very friendly and go above and beyond for guests. There is NO better value nor service available... More

We stayed here while in town to get married at San Francisco's beautiful city hall. The staff was very nice and the hotel was very clean and quiet. The location was great. Close to the trolley, so it was easy to catch it anywhere! Lots of restaurants close by and everything is very walk-able. If you like sushi I suggest... More

We are family of 4 with 2 adults, a teen boy, and a teen girl. So I was looking for an oversize room to fit in an extra rollaway bed and we got it! It was perfect for us. With the extra bed, we still feel very comfortable in the room. We were in the 6th floor and it was... More
