The Marines Memorial Club has a fantastic vacation. The rooms are large and clean. The décor is a bit dated but everything is clean and very orderly. We enjoyed the cocktail reception for guests as well as the free breakfast. The breakfast included an omelette bar as well as other buffet items. I would definitely return and would bring my... Excellent! Good value, nice rooms, free booze everyday from 4-6. really nice buffet in the morning for free too and great gym. Good deal. I stayed here pretty regularly when I come to San Francisco and it's always a good value in a nice location

I love to travel, no surprise. So when I hit the road or point to a map to find a place to roam I have to at times choose to be frugal because as you know traveling gets expensive. I wanted to visit San Francisco and first thing I notice is that their hotel prices are no joke. Like any... More

This hotel is a STEAL for military members and veterans at only $99 / night once you join the club. That is very frugal for San Francisco and when you add in the free amenities it is just fantastic. Positives: It is only two blocks from Union Square and is it is also pretty easy to park at the nearby... More

Firstly, the staff and service should be commended. Friendly, warm, genuine and very welcoming. The outstanding service provided felt like they wanted to and not because they had to which adds something very homely to this historic hotel. There is complimentary breakfast spread and cocktail hour with a stunning view. The room is spacious and clean. Locality was perfect for... More

Very nice lobby highlighting military service in all campaigns. Full complimentary breakfast each morning with omelet station, and the items on the menu change slightly each day. Happy hour at the piano bar with a lovely view from the 12th floor. Room was a little small but large closet, refrigerator, safe and coffeemaker in room was an unexpected bonus. Room... More

I had a meeting at this hotel and had a wonderful experience. The rooms are very nice and well appointed. The meeting space was spectacular. The location was ideal being just a couple of blocks off Union Square. I will not hesitate to return to this hotel.

As a hotel, the Marines Memorial Club has everything you would want or expect in a luxury, urban hotel -- an absolutely primo location at Union Square, well-appointed rooms, great views of the city skyline, a fine dining restaurant for dinner that serves a casual buffet breakfast, a bar with generous happy hour, sports facilities, and on and on. Then,... More

The hotel is in a great location. It's an easy $10-15 cab ride down to the piers depending on traffic. We got a two double bed room at the last minute because someone else cancelled. The room was clean and adequate but the bathroom was tiny. Here's a tip: if you drive yourself, don't drive a truck or an SUV.... More

What a great hotel to stay. The hotel is so rich in the history of the U.S. Marines that humbles one in viewing it. What an important part of our military history and the contributions of so many to preserve our freedoms! The hotel rooms were very comfortable. The staff was excellent and the food wonderful. The bar area over... More
