This is by far the best hostel we have been to! It exceeds expectations of cleanliness, great staff, (Raj was extremely helpful and friendly!) Room was really big and very clean. Great location, close to everything. lots of places to eat. walking distance to Union Square, Chinatown, and all public transportation.! we will definitely stay here when we come back!

I have stayed in San Francisco many times and I would never stay here again. They charged almost 300.00 including taxes for dingy dreary accomadations. We only stayed here because we decided to stop by San Francisco for Valentines Day at the last moment and all of the reasonable rooms were booked. The staff was rude which made the stay... More

Pros: 1.Walking distance to Union Square, and the Mason-Powell Station 2. Strict security protocol that keeps the bums and weirdos out (only registered hotel guests allowed in, and you must ring the door bell and confirm your room and name) 3. If you get a room with its own private bathroom, it comes with a nice Jacuzzi 4. Its one... More

Worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Manager is rude, impatient, does not listen, overcharged us. I was yelled at from the manager. Rooms were awful, stuffy, no aircon, no warm water and stains on the bed. I have never been treated so badly in any hotel. Do not come here, you will re-get it.

Unlike other reviews especially in the Google maps, I enjoyed my 1 week stay in this hotel in mid-Dec to attend academic meeting. Although the crossing at the nearby crossing at the O'farrell str. is stressing cause of many homeless, the Geary str. is safety to access to this hotel even in the night. My room has kind-size bed, rapid... More

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. I arrived to find the double room I had booked only had a single bed so I went to ask about this at the reception and there I was shouted at by the guy there after explaining that I had booked a double room etc. This was not a good... More

When I checked in and found out I had a shared bathroom I was already leery of what I would find in my actual room. When I walked in after a trip on an elevator from the 20's I found stained sheets and a stained comforter. The pillows looked as if they hadn't been replaced in 10+ years and were... More

Friendly staff and located very close to Union Square The neighborhood is bad..... people buying and selling drugs in the sidestreets. Restrooms in the hallway were tiny (I am 6-2 and had to stand behind the toilet to open and close the door) and often without toiletpaper. There were no garbage bin in the room..?? The electrical sockets had to... More

Booked the hotel through the phone. When we arrived at 10 am we waited for two hours to check in only to find they don't have the room for us. The owner of the hotel was an Indian lady who was so rude with her only employee that time. I talked to her to help us have a room. She... More

The brochure said Spa Tub, but don't believe everything you read. Also, no remote for the tv in the room and eventually got one from the front desk on day three. It is loud and the language across the street from the loitering crowd is vulgar, which is not the hotels fault, but be aware it goes on all night.... More
