This is the worst hotel that I have ever stayed in. It's located in a very nasty part of town, the streets are dirty the hotel is average and there was no air conditioning. I received some of the worst customer service that I have ever experienced. I will never ever stay here again and I will not recommend it... More

Don't expect pure luxury here. It's clean, functional and well located to explore the city, as long as you don't go right towards Tenderlion, but veer towards Union Square or left along Market, which is fine. Rooms are small if family of 4 sharing, but to be honest there is so much to see and do in San Francisco, you're... More

A block from Powell St, maybe three blocks from Union Square, on the major bus lines...some people may see the sketch that leaks over from Market St and the Tenderloin, others see convenience and a ton of dining options. You should know what camp you fall in. If it's the latter you'll probably enjoy this cute hotel. The rooms are... More

The good things for the Metropolis hotel are her location and the cleanness. The hotel is very close to Union Square, but also it´s true that it´s very close to the Tenderloin area. This area is more crowded of homeless than the rest of the city, but I think we can´t blame the hotel for that reason, it´s a problem... More

This hotel is just a couple blocks down from the SF Hilton on Market. Saved over $100 a night and still paid nearly double what I have here in the past. Nice, clean Queen Exec on 10th floor (Room 1004 window looks towards the Hilton) and a bathroom shower (no tub) from the old days with GREAT water power. Best... More

We wanted a decent San Fran hotel that didn't break the bank but made it convenient to get around the city via public transit, and this was perfect. TripAdvisor reviews had me well prepared to expect the homeless situation in the flatiron district, which the Metropolis sits at the beginning of. They also warned of noise so I asked for... More

When we arrived in the vicinity of the hotel we were ready to turn round and carry on driving. It was full of very dodgy looking characters, homeless and very obvious drug dealing going on, we suddenly felt very vulnerable. on arriving at the hotel the parking was easy but at a cost of 30 dollars a night. After checking... More

We stayed two nights in this Hotel in San Francisco. The room was very small but clean. The bathroom was also very small. The room was not very expensive but additonal parking costs were very high. Hotel is situated in the Tenderloin area which is not one of the best areas in San Francisco. There were a lot of homeless... More
