My wife stayed at this hotel as the first part of a 2 week road trip. The hotel is modern and contemporary. It's a big hotel and as you would expect busy and and buzzy. Positioning is great and you can get to most of the sites quite easily. The hotel is 2 minutes walk from Union Square. We ate... More

Thank you for making us a part of your two-week road trip. What other places did you visit during your journey? I am glad to hear that you appreciated our close proximity to many of San Francisco's finest highlights and MKT's breakfast selections. We are fortunate to have Equinox Sports Club offered to our guests. Were you able to check... More

The location was perfect & the service was exactly what I expect at a Four Seasons. Upon check in, our suite smelled like cigars. We were moved immediately to a perfect suite. Upon check out several days later, the Manager, introduced himself & apologized in person. This was such an outstanding level of service & it's why the Four Seasons... More

We stayed here as part of a trip we won and I couldn't imagine a better hotel to stay during your visit to San Francisco. The hospitality was incredible and the location couldn't be better for shopping, sightseeing and dining. If you are even considering this hotel then quickly book it.

I've just returned from San Francisco and am still unhappy when I remember my stay at the Four Seasons Hotel in San Francisco November 2014. I had booked a special suite for our family to celebrate my husbands 70th birthday. The suite was booked in August 2014 and we arrived, excited with 3 months of anticipation, and were shown into... One of the best hotels for business in the city of San Francisco. Close to convention center and Union square. Cable car is short walk away and then easy ride on cable car to the wharf. No need to rent a car when you stay here. So much to do and all within easy walking distance. AT&T park is easy... More

It is hard to find a place to stay that equals the beauty and magic of this majestic city. There is one hotel that does just that though. The Four Seasons San Francisco may not be located exactly on Union Square, the touristy area of the city, but it is a few blocks away and absolutely worth staying here rather... More

It is always a pleasure to hear that we were truly a home away from home for our guests. Thank you for sharing that! We were happy to make the holidays special for you and your family. While we are fortunate to have a great location in San Francisco and a beautiful property, it is our people that make it... More

I stayed here on business in November 2014 I don't get to stay at Four Seasons properties often enough. The Four Seasons San Francisco was an absolute delight. From the moment I arrived and the doorman assisted me with my luggage, to the moment I left, when the same doorman remembered me by name, and bid me farewell, it was... More

Driving to this hotel is a little tricky as you need to enter down a side street to the hotel entrance off the major road. Other than that, like a lot of big city hotels, you then need to walk to the elevator that takes you up to the lobby/front desk. Very formal, business attire type bar scene but what... More

Thank you for making Four Seasons one of your go to brands, and for staying with us! We have attempted to make the driving directions to the hotel as accessible as possible, but do recognize it can be tricky with the one-way streets South of Market and our car entrance on Stevenson. Glad you made it safely, and were able... More

Pretty disappointed with the overall standard of the hotel. Rooms were nothing special, food HIDEOUSLY over priced. Got charged $150 for 3 people at breakfast. Staff were helpful but gave us wrong information twice on various charges and ended up with a big bill of extras at check out which we refused to pay as their own staff misinformed us.... More

Maybe it was because of the NYE holiday, but our experience was completely ordinary. The customer service was totally average and no one did anything that resembled the customary Four Seasons experience. The room service menu was completely inadequate and they brought substitutions to our room without calling in advance to confirm it was ok. Absolutely not worth paying $550/night.... More

Staying in SoMa

Neighborhood Profile
SoMa
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighborhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighborhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
