If you stay in San Francisco this hotel is a winner. With the attention of the staff you feel like you are part of an great family but it is all with the highest integrity. Roomas are nice, fast elevators and you feel private. Hotel bar and rest are great.

Outstanding service, relatively quiet ambiance, extremely comfortable describes the Four Seasons in San Francisco. Convenient to the Moscone convention center, but without the hustle and bustle of many of the area's hotels. Excellent Equinox gym is available as well.

Staff is very friendly and helpful, especially the doormen(Chris in particular) and housekeeping staff is tops. Hotel lobby is very tastefully decorated as is the bar/restaurant area. Location is only 2-3 blocks from both Union Square and Westfield Mall(Nordstrom and Bloomingdale's, among others)

You can't beat the location. Great for walking around and extremely close to the transit system. The service in the hotel is excellent. The fitness facility is the best I've ever been in a hotel. We've stayed here the last 2 visits for San Francisco and will definitely be back.

We book this hotel because it listed that it had a pool, but we found out at check-in that they do not allow children under 16 to use the pool. We were very disappointed. The St. Patrick's Day Parade was on Market street in front of the Hotel, so the traffic and getting around town was the worst.

Our stay was very nice, we spent three days at the hotel. I will be returning to this property everytime I visit San Fransico. We visited the Spa which was excellent, as well as the gym. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. This location is perfect if your visiting the downtown area

This is a sweet little hotel. Service is nice, except when I called for room service, nobody answered, so I went to Starbuck's. Next to the newer shopping center, with bloomingdales, Nordstrom, etc.. You can walk to everything.

Predictably excellent in the accommodations, cleanliness, and quiet setting. This hotel is conveniently located downtown although tucked away a bit in an alley for drop off of passengers. This is actually a plus in that you don't have to fight the downtown traffic to get in a cab or be dropped off by a friend.

I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us, as well as the surrounding area. Having two entrances to the hotel, one on Market St. and the other on Stevenson St (what you used), is convenient and I'm glad that it was beneficial for you. I hope to welcome you both back soon! Regards, Christian Klaus Hotel Manager More

My husband and I travel very often and have been to many, many hotels of all ratings over the past 10 years or so. We were extremely empressed by the Four Seasons San Francisco. The Four Seasons is a great hotel to stay at in the San Francisco area. It's in a great location--close to a lot of restaurants and landmarks and has easy access to public transportation. It's also a great place for business meetings and conferences. My room had a great view of the city. It was of decent size and loved... More

I appreciate your feedback about your stay with us. From the hotel, what restaurants and landmarks did you walk to? San Francisco is a great walking city (despite the hills) and our public transportation helps, especially those cable cars. I'm happy to hear that room service was quick and that you enjoyed the food. We appreciate that our guests love... More

Staying in SoMa

Neighborhood Profile
SoMa
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighborhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighborhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
