Some travellers regard Four Seasons hotels as lacking individual character, and an overall brand that seems very chilled out. Well, you can't argue with the subtle perfection of their San Francisco property, or indeed the comforts, good design, sense of calm, superb service and delicious food on offer at every Four Seasons hotel. No fireworks -- just consistent, low-key excellence... More

While in SF for business my family stayed at the Four Seasons for a few days. I travel a lot so I know what goes on behind the spouses back...but it is very uncomfortable to see it everywhere in front of your kids. On several occasions while we were either waiting in the lobby or bar area we saw woman... More

What more can anyone say about their stay at a Four Seasons property...we found the service to be impeccable, the rooms cleans but a bit tired. The location is good, right on Market Street, a short walk to Union Square or the Ferry Building. Certainly a hotel property we would visit again and again.

It is the name that keeps on giving... When ever I have an opportunity to stay at a Four Season's property, I am never dissatisfied. My reservation was mistakenly booked for the day prior and the hotel was sold out the day i was checking in.... The front desk handled this perfectly and I hardly knew there was a glitch...

My husband and I stay here every time we are in SF. This is our favorite place to stay. The service is great and the rooms are clean, spacious, and comfortable. The beds are very comfortable and the bathrooms are good sizes. I like that they have an Equinox gym downstairs. The location is also very convenient. It is 8... More

Very dependable and consistent value. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. The most enjoyable aspect is the staff and service, always courteous and helpful. Great location, within walking distance to most down town locations. Not cheap but compared with other hotels in the area, a good buy.

There were things that the staff should have told us at check in. For example, we were Virtuoso guests and got breakfast each morning. When we went for breakfast Sunday morning, we were told there was no room without a reservation because of the Gay Pride Parade. Why did they not tell us at check in when they told us... More

Great choice for business when traveling to San Fran. The service was great and very accommodating; they gave me the high floor room I wanted and it was great see a bit of the San Fran sky line. They provide a nice selection of tea, coffee and espresso drinks in the morning that are complementary. My room was very clean... More

The staff at this hotel is super friendly and very well trained. The rooms are ok with carpets. The beds are high quality. No Nespresso machines in the rooms. The breakfast is nice. The fitness is Equinox and of high quality. I stayed in room 1004 which was a nice corner room.

Staying in SoMa

Neighborhood Profile
SoMa
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighborhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighborhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
