4 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

We stayed at the Omni on a recent trip to San Francisco for both work and leisure. During the work part of our stay, we were at the St. Regis. For the leisure part, at the Omni. We really enjoyed our time at the Omni, as the staff was unbelievably friendly and accommodating. The property was very clean, the beds... More

The hotel was very nice overall. It surprised me how the staff was helpful and friendly. Everybody who worked there treated us in a very good manner. The room was good, though our room was a bit small for what we asked for (3 adults) OVerall a good hotel and good experience. Very good location

Great location, great rooms, comfortable beds, great service and convenient location for work in Financial District and shopping in Union Square and on Market Street. Restaurant menu is perhaps a bit limited but good quality never the less. Expensive but you get what you pay for!

It was my first time in San Francisco and my fiance booked this hotel as a surprise for me, I must say that I couldn't asked for anything better! Thoroughly enjoyed the stay. Great location, very quiet around over weekends but within walking distance or a short taxi ride from the famous sights., and we could absorb the atmosphere of... More

Stayed here one night on business. Putting aside the five-star amenities, including the comfort and opulence of the rooms -- the hotel location is hard to beat. A short walk to the waterfront, shopping, Chinatown (albeit uphill), its central location was perfect -- especially when one has limited time to enjoy the City. The cable car stops in front of... This was my third convention in San Francisco, and I decided to stay a little distance from the convention center--which is all bustle, noise, and impersonality. The Omni fit my bill perfectly. From check in to concierge to front door, staff were uniformly just lovely. I'm from Pittsburgh where everyone helps everyone else, but I don't expect that kind of... More

My wife and I stayed here for a conference at the Moscone conference center. It was a ~15-20 minute walk each way. Hotel is very very nice! Beautiful rooms. Small but very sufficient workout fitness center. Wifi was free if you join as a member. Restaurants within walking distance. Walked 5 blocks to BART to get to OAK airport which... More

Hotel is a repurposed 1926 financial center building. The grand lobby has a seating area on one side and the opposite side has tables and chairs where you can get cocktails served to you. The service was excellent from the entire staff. The rooms were nicely appointed and a good size. The furnishing all look newer. You are a short... More

We stayed at the Omni San Francico in Nov 2014 for my husbands birthday. The hotel lobby is beautiful, the room was clean, luxurious and quiet. They surprised us with a birthday dessert and bottle of wine. I was able to get a good rate from the Omni website. Join their loyalty program and you will get free wifi.

Hotel was adequate, with no surprises. Cleaniless and service were good. Facilities were average. Location was excellent. Room Rates were high. If you can afford it - why not, but i think there is better value out there, and maybe something which offers a little bit more. For example the availability of the bar fridge (and the facility for keeping... More

Staying in Financial District

Neighborhood Profile
Financial District
The Financial District lies just east of Chinatown but can seem a world apart given it’s San Francisco’s version of Wall Street. The rush of business people make up a hectic weekday and add to a frenetic pace of life, but visitors who spend a few hours walking the narrow streets will be rewarded with fine examples of historic and contemporary architecture, including the iconic Transamerica Pyramid. After business hours, bars and restaurants quickly fill up with happy hour revelers. Stocks aren’t the only kind of market being followed, the Ferry Building Marketplace on the Embarcadero is a gourmet food emporium and farmers market that will satisfy anyone working up an appetite.
