Our family of 4 enjoyed our stay at the Omni in renovated bank building.Great location very convenient to Union Square, Chinatown, Cable Car Museum, etc. It was about a mile walk to Fisherman's Wharf area & those attractions. Also near great restaurants - most of the ones we enjoyed were near the Ferry Building, we would walk to/from there each... More

First let me say that the location is deceptively in a good area. By that I mean a 3 block walk to Chinatown, and a leisurely 10 minute walk to North Beach, and Union Square. The staff is superb and very helpful. Coffee and OJ delivered every morning, complimentary bottled water and a good sized room. The room rate is... More

This is a very nice hotel that offers free wifi and free shirt pressing service. I rather enjoyed my time there as it was over 10 days. The wifi is slower than usual, but the free water bottles help. I should note that while I requested a room on a high floor with an internal (bay) view, one was not... More

Wonderful Hotel, everything was great, the Bar area could be bigger. The staff were efficient and very helpful and we were happy with our stay. Also close to Union Square and shops. The cleaning service was also great, turn down every evening and room bar was well stocked.

I could not have been happier with my recent four-night stay at the Omni. It was a mini-vacation tacked on to the end of a business trip to SF, and I didn't want to spend too much money, so I used Hotwire to get this superb hotel for only $128/night. I really liked the stately building and its prime location... More

We reserved this hotel even though it was expensive because it was very well located and we had only a day in San Fran. The hotel was definitely very well located and close to a lot of the sites that we wanted to visit. However I was disappointed at the quality of our stay. The most disappointing fact was the... Everything about this hotel was terrific and much less expensive than the Hilton. Will stay here every time I come to San Fran. Great location; walkable to almost everywhere. Bike rode to further attractions then took Ubers home from restaurants.

Omni SF is in a great location, easy to walk to major attractions (Fisherman's Wharf, Chinatown, Little Italy) and lots of fabulous restaurants in the area in addition to their own yummy steakhouse. The property is lovely and gracious. Beds are WAY comfy (and I am a bed snob with a back problem), service is outstanding (everyone is very knowledgeable... More

Staying in Financial District

Neighborhood Profile
Financial District
The Financial District lies just east of Chinatown but can seem a world apart given it’s San Francisco’s version of Wall Street. The rush of business people make up a hectic weekday and add to a frenetic pace of life, but visitors who spend a few hours walking the narrow streets will be rewarded with fine examples of historic and contemporary architecture, including the iconic Transamerica Pyramid. After business hours, bars and restaurants quickly fill up with happy hour revelers. Stocks aren’t the only kind of market being followed, the Ferry Building Marketplace on the Embarcadero is a gourmet food emporium and farmers market that will satisfy anyone working up an appetite.
