This property gives you everything you expect from a business hotel. Rooms were nice and everything worked. The highlight was the breakfast buffet, and specifically, the guy making omelets. They kept the old Courtyard style breakfast. Omelet/pancake/waffle station; assorted fruits, yogurts and breads, cold and hot cereal, bacon, sausage, home-fries and scrambled eggs. One word of caution is the $54/night... More

This is my second stay..the first stay it was sleep only. This is a remarkable property, with a lot of gems for a Courtyard. The Rooms, were okay, and very quiet. In fact Quiet is the word for the area. Its a block or so from the Moscone Convention Center, not near shops, not far from the waterfront a four block... More

Best part of the hotel is location; walking distance from the main hub of the city. All worth seeing places, including waterside, are at a walking distance. Given the location, restaurant prices are slighly on the higher side. However there are umpteen number of restaurants within 1 mile radius. Rooms are spacious and well equipped. However my room happened to... More

I stayed here again this year since there was the promise of a redone gym. There were new treadmills (5) and new cardio ellipticals (I think 5) and a couple of bikes. The gym seems to be in the same space. However, every point in my previous review was addressed. - Treadmills had dedicated power and could be independently reset.... More

We picked this hotel because of the location. It was close to a wedding we were attending in the area. Unfortunately the hotel left much to be desired. The hotel was old and dated-and frankly speaking at very little charm. When we checked in, my husband asked if there were any upgrades available-as he is platinum with Marriott. The gentleman... Thank you for taking the time to complete a review of our hotel. I am very sorry to hear of the miscommunication in the availability of an upgrade as well as the poor service you experienced at both the front desk and in Starbucks. This is certainly not what you should expect of a Marriott hotel experience. Your review was... More

This was a great location for the St. Patrick's Day parade, in fact, the parade floats line up along 2nd street! We got a preview of the floats as we walked to breakfast. This is in the Financial district but it's not a far walk to get to the Ferry Building. There is also a creperie right down the street... More

Clean rooms, comfortable beds and clean bathrooms. No frills, functional hotel with a location just 8 minutes from the heart of it all. A bit dated rooms but the lobby and courtyard were awesome. The evening fires and relaxed vibes after a day of sightseeing was something we looked forward to. The rate we got was one of the best... More

The room was nice, the bedsheets and towels were clean and the staff were helpful. The hotel is ~10 minutes away from the Market street and you can easily find cafes, restaurants and supermarkets in the area. The weird thing about the room we got was that the sink was outside of the bathroom - I found it unusual to... More

I stayed at this Courtyard in Nov 2014 for 5 nights to attend a conference at the Moscone Ctr. The hotel has a contemporary look, was clean, and the staff was friendly/helpful. Rooms are average space wise, very clean and comfortable. There is a work desk area with wifi which is convenient. I had a high floor room so did... More

Staying in SoMa

Neighborhood Profile
SoMa
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighborhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighborhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
