Hotel was clean and rooms were of a good size. The staff were very efficient and friendly. The location is quite convenient and only a short walk to a number of good restaurants and Union Square. The only issue we had was that after you stay there more than 4 days or your bill exceeds $1500 they automatically debit your... More

This is hands down my most embarrassing moment in the last ten years of travel and about 5 years of association with Marriott. I am checked into San Francisco Downtown Courtyard Marriott on 2nd street for 5 nights (1/16 - 1/21). I head to have breakfast at the lobby level restaurant on 1/16 at 8:20 AM to grab a quick... Thank you for taking the time to write a review of our hotel. Please accept my sincere apologies for the embarrassing situation we put you through. As you mention, to do this to you over an apple is quite ridiculous as well as completely lacking in any sort of service orientation. Be assured I will be speaking with our Director... More

We stayed in Courtyard Marriott for 2 nights. The room was spacious, considering that we had 4 pax sharing 1 room. It was a good and relatively safe area, though the walk to the metro (Montgomery stn) was quite long. Parking is expensive, USD 54/night. Not recommended to park there.

I had an excellent stay at this hotel downtown San Francisco. Perfect for work purposes, and ideally situated for a visit of San Francisco. Service is good, breakfast excellent as usual with Marriott, and nice swimming pool. with this hotel you're perfectly located to visit the City.

The Hotel is close to the financial district and close to lots of shopping. We stayed in a room with the jacuzzi tub. It was so nice! There is an out door patio area with a cool rock flamed pit. Parking is soooo expensive so be prepared.

Here on business for one week in mid-December and happy to say that the Marriott will be seeing us again. My highest recommendation goes to the front desk staff. One of the managers in training put together a detailed map and left it under our door that detailed all of the great running areas that SFO has to offer. Talk... More

A great experience. Awesome location. Great staff. Nice and clean room. Great onsite amenities like the full bar and restaurant and the Starbucks etc. The courtyard with the gas fire was very inviting. Very well-kept property. The only downside is the expensive on-site parking - welcome to San Francisco. Thank you for your hospitality.

I recently stayed at this Courtyard during a professional meeting. This hotel is very convenient to downtown San Francisco and if you don't mind a bit of a walk, you can walk to the Convention Center. You are also very close to Union Square. The breakfast buffet provides nice choices, from omelets to fruit, oatmeal, etc. The lobby also has... More

We stayed 2 nights vacationing in the city. Room size was comfortable (350sf) which was great because we were with our 2 teenage daughters. The hotel has a nice fitness room, swimming pool, and jacuzzi on the second floor. Daily parking is available for $54 plus tax but we parked across the street inside the garage and paid only $30... Staying in SoMa

Neighborhood Profile
SoMa
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighborhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighborhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
