We stayed five nights in San Francisco at the da Vinci Villa and from the time we got there the customer service was amazing. The woman working the front desk was super personable and helpful in getting us checked in. The had parking at the hotel which I was a little leery of based on the "limited parking" listed on... When you book a hotel at the lower end of the price spectrum you expect to have to settle for less in some aspects. Not so at the da Vinci, staff, room, breakfast, location, secured parking and more, all exceeded expectations. I'd return in a heartbeat. Go up to the 4th floor to snap a great picture of the Golden... More

The hotel is located in Russian Hill, one of the nice areas of SF. Walking distance from the Fisherman's Warf. Public transportation is not far away. The hotel itself isn't bad. The personnel was courteous and helpful. There's a gym, sauna, and a heated pool. The rooms looked clean when we arrived. So were the shower room. The only thing... More

Overall the hotel was decent, especially for the price. They try very hard to be more upscale but you will notice not all the pieces of the puzzle fit. Ive stayed at hotels such as comfort inn that were just beter overall, for less money. However, for the price certainly the best for the money. Hotel is in a good... More

Greetings Katie, I genuinely understand your feedback about value for money proposition. We take that at the core of our hotel's appeal and we would like to improvise on that in any manner possible. Therefore, your feedback helps us in improving ourselves so we can meet the expectations of our guests. We certainly see ourselves better than many competing hotels... More

We found the hotel through Priceline andwe're more than a little pleased. We loved staying here. The staff was lovely. The breakfast was great and included with our stay. Very few continental breakfasts include a station to make your own waffles. The room was lovely. Comfy beds and nice pillows. Free WiFi. But I think the best part of our... More

This hotel is priced right in a very expensive city. Access is easy, and so is parking. Centered in the city and a quick Uber ride to anywhere I wanted to go. I have stayed here on 2 occasions and will come back.

When I made this reservation I asked if it was walking distance to Fishermans Wharf, well it is if you like walking 3 miles to get there, we had to take a cab. otherwise we would have been too tired to walk around. This location is right on the street, so at 5;30 a.m. we started hearing cars driving up... More

Greetings, As a responsible business, we do not misrepresent any of the facts about our hotel especially with regard to our location which our guests find to be very convenient when they are visiting the city. Fisherman's wharf is 0.9 mile away from the hotel and most guests choose to walk that short distance in 15-20 mins. I'm sorry to... More

Lot of noise and vibrations (the ground of my room vibrate like crazy). I am writing the review from my room. The location is alright. The breakfast is better to avoid. Seriously don't stay here if you can avoid it.

Greetings, I'm sorry to hear that our rooms and services were not to your needs and liking. We will look into what caused the vibrations in the rooms because that is indeed unusual. We do provide a wide spread for a continental breakfast that is complimentary for our guests. Meanwhile, there are several options in the area for guests who... More

Very small room, even though we were told we had been upgraded. No natural light. Old decor. Room overlooked a carpark. Very unusual breakfast in an adjacent Chinese restaurant. The location was good - we were able to walk to the Alcatraz ferry terminal, to interesting shops and to Fort Mason where we ate at Greens restaurant. We found that... More

The da Vinci is a wonderful last stop for our US holiday. Our room is spacious and well maintained with tv, coffee machine and safe. There's air-con and a fan which we don't need. Continental breakfast is included and that has been great. Staff have been lovely and very helpful. Overall very happy.

Staying in Russian Hill

Neighborhood Profile
Russian Hill
Russian Hill has evolved into a chic residential neighborhood with outstanding views from every corner. Combined with several great cafes, restaurants, antique shops and boutiques, it’s easy to see why any visitor would gladly leave their heart in San Francisco. Cars line up day after day to drive down Lombard Street, the “crookedest” street in the world, and make the slow creep downhill past charming period homes. Polk Street is the main drag in this neighborhood, where you will find trendy bars, cafes and shops populated with locals, but for one of the most charming rides in the city, grab a cable car heading up and down Hyde Street.
