Stayed four nights here. Chose the hotel based on overall price compared to other hotels in the area, as well as its history. I like older hotels with character, and will put up with the downsides of the same. The hotel is jus one block from the Powell St. BART station, so I got here from SFO in just 35... More

Just like the title says... This Place Is Really Over Priced For What You get out of it. Parking was $40 a night, then you pay parking taxes...WTH?? The beds were extremely loud and uncomfortable. You can here every pipe and person moving about your floor. No pool or spa. Should of stayed at the Marriott.

Found this hotel on Tripadvisor due to location/price. It was in the 'backyard' of Union Sq, but great location and nice Price. A Little old, but ok. Very good diner Mels on Mission street 801, just 5 minutes walk from hotel. Even i got the room at 3rd floor overlooking traffic at the corner of Mission and 5th street, it... More

The hotel charged us the incorrect amount and was not willing to modify the bill. There were dirty bed sheets in the room. In the night there was a lot of noise in the room. The location was great, right next to everything you need.

Just around the corner from Market St. Clean, comfortable historic hotel but very tiny standard room. We were two with only 2 suitcases but barely had space for the bags closed & upright! Friendly & efficient service. Ok for 1 or 2 nites. Sights & shopping around the corner. Parking $40 for 24hrs.

We enjoyed the Pickwick for most of our stay. It's conveniently located by the Market St Shops and the hotel was in reasonable condition, recently refurbished by the look of it. The front desk is friendly and helpful. Value is pretty good relative to San Francisco hotel prices. Only things for improvement would be (1) the wifi, which is pretty... More

The hotel is in a great location right by market street where you can get cable car, street car and buses to all over the city so really convenient. Originally we got the hotel and were given a queen room when we had booked a king. The lady at the front desk said no more kings available until tomorrow, so... More

Noise, seem to be fire trucks and/or emergency vehicles going by hotel all the time. More importantly staff missed my walk call on my depature date which made for a frantic dash to the airport. I arrived June 29th and departed July 2

Clean room. Location is great. Close to San Francisco Mall and a cable car stop. A little noise at night. Friendly staff. There is a nice bar and restaurant with fantastic breakfast. They did not have a single room available as we requested, however, they changed our room the next day. It was a great corner with city views in... More
