I stood at the Pickwick for six nights in August of 2014 after finding a really good deal online for it. The location is amazing (especially for the price). It is one block from the metro and the Powell Street Cable Car station. The Convention Center is a few blocks away, there is a shopping mall right next door and... More

If you like to shower (as I'm sure you do) avoid this property. They're water pressure is extremely low to non-existent and the water will go of intermittently every 2 min or so. Also, apparently all the homeless decide to camp right outside the hotel (behind it) for the night.

Beds: he beds are comfortable and the bathroom is small but good! Internet: Impossible to use the internet! And its a very bad thing when you are a traveller in the big city and needs addresses, stores, infos, restaurant tips etc. So the really bad wifi and the problems with log in all the time effected in the bad way... GREAT location on 5th & Mission. Close to everything: steps away from the Nordstrom Shopping Ctr, walk to Union Square, even AT&T Park (where we saw a concert). The hotel is old; we stayed on 3rd floor which is not renovated. But we had a great rate so we're not complaining. Room is small, bathroom tiny, closet tiny, too. But... More

Stayed with group of guys for annual long weekend to a different major league city. Location is convenient to BART and ballparks, as well as shopping and some of the tourist areas. The hotel is old building. Rooms are small, more like an old hotel in European city. Very small bathroom with just a small shelf and no counter space,... More

If I could give this place a zero, I would. Although the location is decent, the room we stayed in not only had loud pipes, but we could not get hot water. Leukwarm at best...and this was in the late fall/early winter. When we complained about it to the front desk, they had the nerve to debate with us about... More

Stayed four nights here. Chose the hotel based on overall price compared to other hotels in the area, as well as its history. I like older hotels with character, and will put up with the downsides of the same. The hotel is jus one block from the Powell St. BART station, so I got here from SFO in just 35... More

Just like the title says... This Place Is Really Over Priced For What You get out of it. Parking was $40 a night, then you pay parking taxes...WTH?? The beds were extremely loud and uncomfortable. You can here every pipe and person moving about your floor. No pool or spa. Should of stayed at the Marriott.

Found this hotel on Tripadvisor due to location/price. It was in the 'backyard' of Union Sq, but great location and nice Price. A Little old, but ok. Very good diner Mels on Mission street 801, just 5 minutes walk from hotel. Even i got the room at 3rd floor overlooking traffic at the corner of Mission and 5th street, it... More

The hotel charged us the incorrect amount and was not willing to modify the bill. There were dirty bed sheets in the room. In the night there was a lot of noise in the room. The location was great, right next to everything you need.
