I stayed at the Pickwick for business. The room I had was on the street side of the hotel and you could hear street noise all night. The walls were thin. My friend had to be relocated because the kids in the room next to her were so loud she couldn't stay in the room. The tub is really narrow... more

Pleasant stay, very comfortable, helpful and attentive staff. Bedroom very high standard. Hotel has central location, convenient for sights, transport and shops. 'Breakfast on us' deal was very good, full breakfast in the restaurant of the lobby. more

We stayed at the Pickwick for 3 nights and found it to be great value and in a great location. Sure it's a little older but our room on level 7 was clean and comfortable. The concierge was great, however the front of house staff where a little cold. We would stay there again more

Overrated.

Front desk were very rude and unhelpful after an expedia.com mix up. They seriously need customer service skills. Rooms were extremely small. They feel old and dirty. The bathroom looked renovated, but it was a hack job with the shower head being on the side of the tub instead of in front. Parking was shady as well, I saw the... more

I was scheduled to stay six nights at The Pickwick Hotel. After one night's stay, I checked out to another hotel. The rooms are very small, no dresser draws, the only chair in the room was soiled. The bathroom soap had been used and stuck to the box in which it was located. The room had a very poor appearance... more

I booked the hotel through Travelocity and was a little worried reading the reviews. But this was a nice place. The location is excellent - down the street from the Powell St. BART station - right below Union Square. The front desk worker (Kenny) was excellent. Very pleasant and friendly. He mistakenly gave us a room with 1 bed thinking... more

I stayed at the Pickwick hotel for a meeting at the end of October 2008. I purchased the room through hotwire.com and read some good reviews about this hotel but I did NOT like my stay. I was placed on a 2nd floor room, very close to the street and extremely noisy! I got waken up every night with noises... more

Here is my story on the Pickwick. Since I purchased from HOTWIRE.COM, I had a good deal at 97.00 dollars a night. The room was small but nicely decorated and clean. the location is excellent for touring. We are local and stay in the "City" once a year for our anniversary. The down side was being able to hear a... more
