The location is great. Some of the staff are really friendly, some could be friendlier. The neighbourhood is fine as long as you don't go near the main tenderloin part. I didn't expect much for what i paid, so i wasn't that disappointed. It does appear i got put in one of the smaller rooms (506) which was slightly annoying... More

I stayed here for one night in order to participate in a job fair across the street at the Hilton since some like me, still looking for a job can't afford to stay at the Hilton. They have a very large common room, next to their not quite big, but still fairly large kitchen, and at night it gains a... More

This hostel its really nice, the people who go there are very nice people, the hostel is central in the city, and if you want to go a little far, you have the train 2 blocks from the hostel, so the ubication its very good

This hostel was huge, the size of a hotel. Friendly reception staff, basic beds with no lockers in the room (but some downstairs). Breakfast shocking- literally just pancake batter and you fight for space to cook them. Tacky main room and a few other social areas. Good location near market street and financial district.

The nights staff remind me the government workers in Argentina, instead of a hostel that is supposed to be friendly and funny. There was a girl called Aral that every time he saw us had an angry face. I suspect that was because we made her work a little bit more as she is used to, since we wanted a... More

Extremely rowdy and noisy late at night with the usual loud drunks screaming or singing along the corridors or guys trying to hit on the gals. And the hostel staffs (mostly work-in-exchange youths) did nothing to curb or quiet them (I'm sure the receptionists could hear those screaming drunkards). One toilet per floor is definitely insufficient for such a big... More

Stayed in a 6 person dorm with my group of 6 it was clean, warm and secure ( might be a bit squishy if staying with random people) facilities were good laundry computers ect ! Breakfast was really fresh and nice! And big space to cook yourself. Downside the wifi never worked in the dorm rooms only corridors and communal... More

I stayed here with a friend for two nights in January, and we shared a 4 person all female room with 2 other girls. The beds were comfortable, and the room and en suite were clean. Check in was easy as we had booked online, and we had to pay a $5 key deposit each, which we got back when... More

This is a great hostel in a super location. We stayed in a four bed dorm - which was clean & quiet at night. All the staff were so helpful and very friendly. This hostel is much cheaper than anywhere we could find in SF and they even had free beer on Friday and Saturday nights after 8pm! We would... More

Spent a few days in San Fran with some friends and had an awesome time at the hostel! The staff were extremely friendly and always willing to help. Free beer and pizza was a winner. Great hostel atmosphere and the rooms were very clean and comfortable. Highly recommended.
