look everyone warns you about Eddy St / the homeless etc. however you can get a sense of the non tourist San Francisco here and it's affordable. The rooms are large, and comfortable. The manager is quirky and odd but very very helpful. It was like a home away from home. Borrow an icebox and you can do your own... More

We enjoyed our stay at the Red Coach, yes it's in a dodgy area of San Francisco, but we had no trouble, the owner and the staff were great host who provided us with lots of info about San Francisco, and as a bonus there is a fantastic restaurant across the road called Brenda's. If you are looking for a... More

We were welcomed by the very friendly owner. After we got our room that offers great comfort. The bed was of excellent quality. The rooms were clean. Additionally, the owner gave us a lot of useful information where to go in San Francisco and how to get to Fishermans' wharf. Given the fact that the motel is only two blocks... More

As 3 couples from the UK, we had planned to travel down the West Coast of America, initially flying to Vegas, staying there for 3 nights, travelling for 11 days and finishing up again in Vegas for a further 4 nights, the whole experience from start to finish was just fantastic. One of these experiences was travelling to San Francisco... More

Been here three years ago and I enjoyed my stay. Rooms are clean, good showers and friendly personel. The hotel is situated on the edge of the Tenderloin, which is not one of the best parts of San Francisco. I did not experience any problems and exited the area through Van Ness avenue. Biggest plus for this hotel is the... More

Since most SF hotels are very expensive - we looked for a reasonable priced hotel located in a good place. And we found just that. Located 2 minutes from Van Ness Ave. and about 10 minutes from Union square - this was a great choice for us. The rooms are big and has what you need. This is a great... More

We found this Motel by accident. We chose a "single bed" room. This meant we had 1 bed but it was the size of a football pitch. Whilst this is a basic type motel it is very clean, very comfortable and very accessible to the citu. Fishermans Wharf is 2mls away. My only small criticism is the wifi was poor... More

Basic but clean Motel, good enough for a short staying. Large room, nice bed.... Nice welcoming. Free parking, free and good wifi. I was at the first floor, it's a little noisy, because of the street. You have to know that there are a lot of homeless, but they are very inoffensive. It's better to not stay in that neighborhood... Service is not bad, staffers are helpful, facilities are ok, but area is visibly dangerous. I am aware that accommodation prices are usually high in SF, but I consider this being a very expensive hotel for the area.

This SF motel was inexpensive, clean, and surprisingly safe in spite of location in Tenderloin; plus it has free parking, which is a real premium in SF! We chose motel because of good location to Davies Symphony Hall and SF Jazz Center. We live in SF Bay area but wanted to stay in the city to see all the shows... More
