For $60/night in San Francisco, the "Standard" room at this hotel is good. I'm a light sleeper and slight germaphobe who is up for adventure, and I was pretty comfortable here. What would really make this hotel excellent is soundproofing every way they can, and attention to detail (scuff marks on walls and broken soap dispenser in lobby restroom.) It... More

We paid ~$60 per night for two people and this is really good value in SF given the location and over all condition of the place. Our room was plenty big and had a faucet and a fridge and drawer sets and a tiny coffee table and we were generally happy with it. Of course it did not include private... More

1-now it is two months that they are constructing while they are renting their rooms to customers. you are tired and you are sleep while the workers are working with big saws and non-stop hammer sound just near your room. they must close the hotel while they are under construction. but the greedy owner installed a plastic in front of... As other reviewers have said there are definitely some down sides to this place. This staff is not super friendly nor helpful - when we checked in the front desk guy forgot to give back my credit card, with all our luggage we were trying to struggle up the stairs with (no elevator) I didn't realize until we were out... Stayed here in June it was the worst experience of my stay in US.. The main road doesn't stop, so unless you go into a coma i suggest you get a room on the other side, the staff don't know nothing about anything, just getting a hello was like getting blood from a stone! all in all a bad place!

I'll start by saying the best thing about this place is its location, and that is about it. We stayed here for 5 days and had nothing but trouble with the front desk, manager, and billing situation. After offering my debt card for the required $50 hold, I had three temporary charges, totalling over $500 showing up in my online... More

All the things that I heard about this hotel got confirmed. The location is great, close to Civic Center, the area is very safe at night and hip. The walls are pretty thin so you do hear other people at night but we were lucky not to have to much noise. There is no heating so it can get pretty... More

Location Located in upper Haight area, its fairly easy to find driving from airport but would not have a clue with public transport, think you would need to change buses on market. The area itself is very residential San Fran, within a block is a liquor store and cafe for breakfast (Alamo). 3 blocks is Haight street which has CVS,... More

Great location, there are quite a few trendy cafe's around, is about a 200m walk from a blue bottle coffee place. That can almost match the cafe's in Melbourne. In San Francisco I have found it difficult to find areas where I feel safe at night travelling by myself, but this is a good area. The hotel itself is clean... More

This hotel was one of the best bargains I have had in a while. While the people working the front desk weren't the most knowledgable right off the cuff, they were more than willing to try and lookup any info you wanted. When we needed an extra blanket or towel they were quick to help. The hotel is super clean... More
