I noticed few of the complaints of previous visitors. Room very clean, comfortable with all amenities, staff very friendly, even gave me the benefit of the doubt when I disputed the already very affordable rate. Within walking distance of public transport, BART, busses and many SF attractions.

Had a week booked here through work not knowing the city. Once I got there realized that it's a dumpy motel in a sketchy area of town. They of course don't reveal that it's s motel in any of the pictures online. Canceled the rest of my stay and got a better location in Union Square. Would not advise staying... More

Help in finding food at late Arrival and other things. No breakfast at the hotel/motel, but a cafe at the opposite Corner, and a small supermarket almost next door. Close to Market street and a Bart-station.

We stayed here after booking online and it was a really scary part of town. We did not feel safe. We were told after we got there by friends who live in San Fran that we should not, under any circumstance, be outside after dark during our stay. The elevator was European style: wide as a door and required a... More

We had picked this Hotel based on a few good reviews and taking a "chance." Boy, were we ever wrong! This Hotel is in a pretty seedy part of SF where homeless persons abound and accost! My wife and I checked in at approximately 10:30 PM on a Saturday. In order to get into the Lobby you must ring the... More

The staff were friendly. Room was large and clean, but a little worn. Had a good nights sleep and free off street parking was nice. Reasonably priced for San Francisco. The neighborhood is bad & a little scary. While we were unpacking the car, a homeless guy stepped into the parking area off the street, dropped his pants and urinated... More

we stayed for two nights while in san fran. I chose this place as it was on the BART line and close walking distance to the tourist areas/cable car lines. In a word, Shushma. The front desk woman is OUTSTANDING. Her service, and consideration for your needs is above and beyond. the inn is ok value, it's just on the outskirts of the touristy areas, and in a somewhat shady area, but safe. i felt safe, but it is a bit sketchy. i'm not typically scared of homeless people, and... Stay away from this place. I stayed 1 night and it ended up costing me $740. I paid $20 to have my car parked in a private carport, and when I woke up my car was TRASHED. We would like to apologize for the unfortunate situation that occurred. We are sorry for your losses. Unfortunately, leaving a vehicle in a parking lot in any metropolitan area contains a level of risk regardless of where you park it. We are sorry this experience tainted your view of our property and negatively affected your stay with us. More

This hotel is very clean, relaxing and safe despite the low cost in compare to the other hotel with the same quality. The nice and very respectful receptionist, the very kind Indian lady in addition to the other staff make the hotel a very nice place for me as a girl to stay.

Staying in SoMa

Neighborhood Profile
SoMa
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighborhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighborhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
