Stayed here with 2 friends whilst traveling down the West coast. We had booked in at the Adelaide hostel but on arrival we were sent here. At the time we were a bit worried about what was going on but everything was in place and we had a room at the Dakota. The room was small but clean and comfortable... More

This isn't the first time I've stayed at the dakota hotel and it won't be my last! (i hope!). This time i left it to the other half to book a hotel for our stay in the city, suffice to say he made a mess of it and luckily the dakota could accommodate us. This is probably one of the... More

I booked 7 nights at the Adelaide Hostel, a private room. But upon arrival was instead sent to the Dakota Hotel. There was no warning about this before I arrived. The room in Dakota was clean and spacious. Staff were very friendly and helpful and breakfast was good. However, it was very noisy, and I struggled to sleep even wearing... More

The room was located at the back above the alleyway were rubbish bins were being unloaded at 0200am the bunk beds were pretty wobbly. in the morning in the basement kitchen knives with lots of chocolate or jam were inside the jars so having to pull them... i stayed in a dorm room in The Adelaide Hostel before and booked a triple room again for our family visit . This time, we were assigned to stay the Dakota, which is only steps away from Adelaide. Although the hotel looks a bit grungy, the cleanliness of the room makes up for it and the manual elevator, the decor... More

We had the posibility to stay at this hotel for a night. The price was high comparred to what we had paid for a nicer hotel in New York. Everything is old, and the hotel needs a renovation. The breakfast was not Good. It was bread, jam. No cheese, no ham. For hotel would be fine for Young people, If... More

We booked at the Adelaide hostel but where placed here. It looks and works more like a youth hostel than a hotel, but that's cool for us. We were on the 8th floor and the view was great - the hotel is very close to Union square. OK, the rooms are small and the building is quite old (the elevator... More

In the hostel part beds are already made and numbered. The staff is friendly and helpful, feel free to ask for suggestions and things to do downtown; Activities and tours are daily orgaized and available for guests. The neighborhood may feel a little scary at night.

Great place and great staff. Stayed here for two nights in July andloved it. Really nice atmosphere and really helpful with information on the city. Sarah and Brenda who work there were especially great, helping me get the most out of my time there. Can't wait to go back.
