Right in the centre of the city is where you want to be. The hotel is five star and the staff,restaurants and rooms are all accordingly of that standard. Typical good Marriot hotel.No trouble finding us a quieter room on a high floor and they saw to all our petty requests.

The best thing about this place is the location. Right in the heart of Union Square in san francisco with lots of shops and restaurants near by. Cable car passes right by the hotel ($6.00 one way or you can get one or three day pass that you can use with all buses and muni trains as well). Bart (subway)... More

The room was nicely decorated and clean. We were on the 25th floor and the view was awesome. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. My only complaint is the cost of parking.

this place has had a remarkable changeover. the rooms have all been updated with especially nice bathrooms. if you're from europe and/or are used to "european standards" for hotel rooms, you'll be quite pleased with this hotel. and, epecially for out-of-towners, you will not find a better, more central location--Union Square, Chinatown, Yerba Buena are just a few steps away.

Just blocks from Union Square. Close to shopping, drugstores, Starbucks, and right off the street car.
