This Marriott is conveniently located one block from Union Square and is everything you would expect from a big city Marriott - very comfortable, helpful staff, etc. This hotel is 4 blocks from the Powell Street BART station and easily walkable unless you have a lot of luggage. If you have a car, parking is very expensive, but the Sutter/Stockton... More

This was a great central location. Could get anywhere we wanted pretty easily. The bathroom was a little small, but fine. Very nice view. We would stay here again. Request high floor, very quiet. Cable car stop right outside the door.

Great location and attentive staff. Higher rooms are quieter. The location is great for tourists-but a bit of a walk if you are heading to a meeting or conference at the Moscone Center ( I was). Rooms are fairly large by San Francisco Standards and the bathroom amenities are very nice. The free TV channels are very limited- Mariott- we... More

Stayed here for two nights and would highly recommend. Service was great. Location couldn't be better. Would definitely return. Ask for high floor corner room. Concierge room closed from early Friday until Monday AM. This is sure unfair to the tourist traveler. Just doesn't make sense. Marriott get your act together on this issue.

I visited this property Feb 16- Feb 18 2015. I have to say, the staff was absolutely incredible!! Jeff the front desk agent was out of this world awesome, and Cathy the concierge lady had the best recommendations for food! Being SanFrancisco there are tons of options and I was very nervous choosing restaurants. She was an awesome help. Room... More

Typical quality for a Marriott which is to say that it is good to very good. Rooms are again typical, get a higher floor or on the back side of the hotel to avoid street noise, which can and will happen from time to time. Menu in lobby restaurant is good and not terribly overpriced, food also good. Concierge lounge... More

Disappointed in service. Staff never asked me if anything was wrong at check-out and had issues that the Television didn't have Bravo, called at your services and explained disappointment, but they didn't even say they were sorry.

Thank you for the feedback about your experience at our hotel. I apologize our hotel does not offer the BRAVO channel. It is not part of the Marriott standard satellite package. I am glad you found the location to be suitable and I appreciate the comments about our service, which I will follow up on. Sincerely, Oscar R. General Manager More

Located right at Union Square this hotel is in a great location for shopping, strolling into Chinatown or just o serve as a general launching pad for your time in San Francisco. The staff is very accommodating. Housekeeping is very flexible with the hours which is perfect for tourists. The Powell Hyde streetcar line runs right next to the hotel.... More

Haven't been to SF in years and this was a terrific home base to enjoy one of America's greatest cities... Great location next to Union square , and within walking distance to everything! Fours blocks from BART, and a cable car stop is nearby. The staff were Uber professional and extremely courteous. My room had a beautiful view of the... More

This Union Square hotel is what you expect in a city Marriott -- competent staff, solid restaurant, good bar. Stayed during the week, and the concierge club offered great breakfast and a pretty nice evening selection, too. Was upgraded to a corner room, which was quite big. And you can walk to almost everything in SF.
