Friday night someone broke into a car parked next to mine. Saturday night, huge fight broke out, cops had to be called 2 times. Fights in the parking lot all night long. Sunday morning at 6am people screaming at each other outside my window. I had to complain at least 5 times during my 2 night stay.

Really dodgy area, didn't feel safe at all. Staff at desk were however very nice, room was nice and basic (pay for what you get), good wifi and television options! Nice breakfast included in the price, shame the area of hotel is very dodgy, e.g. People hanging around the hotel, Loud area.

staff is rude and unskilled ive stayed at this location twice and both times i got bad service from staff Upon each visit i arrived late they were busy and unprepared to help me or gave me key to someone elses room. The check out time is very hard and no flexibility.

This is the worst experience on our road trip through US. We booked two nights but as our car's window got smashed the first night on hotel's parking, we cancelled the second night. I saw two more cars broken into the same night. Not to mention how filthy the place was, rats running around main entrance lobby! The operating licence... More

This will be a long review, but first - the rates. Online rates were $129 night, but we paid $228 (with tax), and $17 a day to park in their parking lot because of a concert that was being held at Golden Gate Park. There were no other hotels with vacancies in a very large area due to the 75,000... More

Staying in SoMa

Neighborhood Profile
SoMa
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighborhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighborhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
