We stay in SF every year for the hardly strictly bluegrass festival. We booked online, they charged my husband's credit card, then mine and refused to void one of the transactions. They do not take cash. The manager was awful and even threatened to call the police because I was not happy with the fact that he charged us twice.... More

Alexis park is well placed in close proximity to most nice sights or to take the bus to most destinations. Free parking and wifi is an extra plus. The landlord might seem a bit harsh in first acquaintance but he has the hart in right place and will help you out in big and small. The rooms are clean and... More

I stayed at the Alexis Park Hotel in the Market District of San Francisco and had a very enjoyable experience. The room was comfortable, clean, and only lacked a refrigerator (which would have been nice). They offer free parking but the spaces are limited so you have to get lucky. I was very impressed with the hotel manager who was... More

The area is a little sketchy but it is about half the price as hotels on union square. You can it a twin inflatable mattress between the two beds. The beds are nice. And there are no weird smells. It's clean. Nice warm water. Lots of pressure. Be careful though. It has lower jets that can surprise you if you... More

We expected the worst as our shuttle bus driver brought us in from the San Fran Airport - he didn't have a lot of nice things to say about the area. However, we thought the location was great - close to activities and public transit routes (on Van Ness). Great eating in immediate area too - Brenda's (French soul) and... More

We spent three nights in the city. Alexis Park had everything we needed. Free parking is a big plus. The hotel was clean and rooms were better than average. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. We got a three day bus pass and traveled by bus all over the city. Yes there are homeless street people in the neighborhood. However,... More

It's a motel right in the center of San Francisco downtown. The location is good and bad. The neighborhood is dirty with lots of homeless people but it's not unsafe. If you are on a budget, this place is good. I chose this during a convention when the minimum per night is 200 USD anywhere in the downtown. The place... More

Contrary to many reviews, we found it to be a very decent hotel for the price. This place offered free wi-fi, free breakfast (bread, bagels, juice & coffee/tea), and free parking, and that made this hotel a very good value. Also, the beds were comfortable, and the room was very clean. However, there was some noise from the fire trucks... More

The owner is the most unprofessional arrogant host I have ever met. Customer service does not exist. The owner argued with me because I didn't want to reuse someone else's keurig(which is single use), he argued with me to prove his point that keurig single use cups can be used 4 times (it's unsanitary).

Yes, the area is certainly not the most affluent in San Francisco, but I never had an issue, and besides, the local folk are what carries a town's character. Hotel was less than a ten minute walk from Civic Center, with its shops, restaurants, and tourist activites. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the room. Nice, clean and... More
