The hotel has a great location near Chinatown and Union Square. The actual hotel location is also a charming French neighborhood with good restaurants and bars. This isn't a luxury hotel, but my room was clean with a wonderful claw-foot bathtub. I didn't have any problem with noise. It's a great value in the city. The staff was helpful and... More

The hotel is nice, close to Chinatown and only 30minutes stroll to fishermans wharf, Rooms are okay size a little bit small, not much else to say, wasn't bad that's the main thing I guess. Just a place to sleep for the price you can't go wrong

Hotel is right next to Union Square and Chinatown. Hotel staff were very kind and helpful. Only problem was the room was quite small as was the bed. It can also be quite noisy at night but it was to be expected with a city centre hotel!

My room was on the 7th floor on Grant Ave and was more than adequate for 1 person. I did ask if I could move as I found the bath floor too slippery but a bath mat was immediately supplied and the problem solved. There was a fan in the room and a small window to open but the Grant... More

The rooms are quite small and the hotel is old but it s located right next to Chinatown and only a few minutes walk from BART. You can get to Pier39 in under 30 minutes. Even though the hotel is located next to a street, there was no night traffic to wake you up.

Dear Jack: Thank you for your stay and we appreciate your time to write us a comment as it's very important for us to listen to what guests' thoughts are. What a disappointment. The room was big enough for two adults but in our case we also had two children with us. An extra bed and babybed in the same room sounds normal to them. So we needed to put our suitcases on the bed everytime we needed to open them and pile them in front of the door when... More

Dear guest: Thank you for choosing the Baldwin Hotel, we appreciate your business and comments. Customer satisfaction is always a top prior and we're sorry to hear about that our standard service didn't meet your expectation. From our record, seems like you have a room with 1 Queen size bed which is good for standard double occupancy. We do have... More

This hotel is located at the bottom of entrance to china town, minutes walk from union square, and 20 minutes from pier one golden gate harbour. The hotel is very clean and the staff are very helpful and pleasant. The rooms are standard for a city. Overall the hotel was great value for money.

Baldwin hotel is a basic clean room . The rates were better than most and the location is good. Thank fully the windows open because the room was too warm and did not have air conditioning or a thermostat , our stay was on March 16 and 17. The St. Patricks day celebration across the street was quite loud..Victor at... More

we had done lots of research before our trip to San Francisco and decided to stay in Baldwin Hotel because of fairly good comments and attractive rate especially it's so convenient to Union Square. we are extremely satisfied of the service of front desk staff, Victor. When we asked for his advice for dinning out, he provided us with choices,... More

We began our 3 week US honeymoon at The Baldwin Hotel and it was a lovely place to start. The room was modest, but clean. The bathroom was a little cramped, but also clean. Our room was on the 4th floor and overlooked Grant Ave but we didn't hear any street noise. We were also right near the elevator but... More
