Baldwin hotel is a basic clean room . The rates were better than most and the location is good. Thank fully the windows open because the room was too warm and did not have air conditioning or a thermostat , our stay was on March 16 and 17. The St. Patricks day celebration across the street was quite loud..Victor at... More

we had done lots of research before our trip to San Francisco and decided to stay in Baldwin Hotel because of fairly good comments and attractive rate especially it's so convenient to Union Square. we are extremely satisfied of the service of front desk staff, Victor. When we asked for his advice for dinning out, he provided us with choices,... More

We began our 3 week US honeymoon at The Baldwin Hotel and it was a lovely place to start. The room was modest, but clean. The bathroom was a little cramped, but also clean. Our room was on the 4th floor and overlooked Grant Ave but we didn't hear any street noise. We were also right near the elevator but... More

I'd booked this hotel 8 months in advance and stayed it was our honeymoon so we were disappointed not to get a room with a view. That aside, our 3 night stay was pleasant. It's in the heart of everything. Due to the hustle and bustle of any big city, we were woken by either the truck collecting the rubbish... More

My friend and I booked a hotel on Hotwire and were given this hotel. We weren't so sure about it once we had been given the name, but its location seemed good from what we could see on the internet. When we arrived, our room was ready prior to the stated check-in time, which was nice. We were given a... More

The hotel was clean! The room was small but we didn't need any more that what it offered. Comfy bed, large pillows, tv that worked. Water was always hot. No air conditioning we went in February so we didn't need it. But on a hot summer day that would be a concern. The location was perfect. So close to China... More

My partner and I stayed here for 5 nights in late December. We could not have been happier with the location, it was clean and comfortable. Some people may find it to be a little small, however, for this location it is a great trade off.

Despite being recently refurbished according to their website, we found the twin double room rather cramped and dark with not much else to offer apart from a bed for the night. but on the plus side, it had everything you needed for a centrally located hotel and no more.

Clean, good service, reasonable room size for the price, and great location next to Union Square, China Town and many businesses. The only negative that is worth mentioning is the elevator slow and old.
