We truly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It was a pleasant experience. It was simple, no-frills, very quiet and clean. The bear-claw bath was a plus. We felt like we staying in an apartment building, not a hotel, made us feel more like locals than tourists, we felt very confortable. Also, the origami animal design added a fun touch... More

We stayed here last week for 3 nights.. not unusual for San Fran but there is no parking. Down the street there is a multi story car park called the white house that we used. There is a 10 min loading bay at the front of the hotel that you can use to drop your bags and check in. Room... More

Excellent central location downtown, close to unión square, shopping and restaurants, and to chintown. Comfortable, clean and spacious rooms. Friendly staff. Great coffee available for free in the lobby. Good free wifi too.

My room was fairly spacious especially for 1 person. Not a big fan of the bath with shower curtains all around but it was functional. The room was on level 7 and had a window that open to the Grant Ave side. But as many others mentioned, the room got very warm. There was a fan in the room. The... More

We stayed at The Baldwin hotel for 4 nights. Can't say anything bad about the hotel, extremely clean and comfortable room. Very central to Union Square and shops. We had 2 children with us each day after the room was cleaned we would come back to find different animals made with the towels on the bed which the kids loved.... More

Good location next to China town gate, we walked to all the usual tourist sites including Golden gate bridge but that was a long walk! 2 min walk to Union Square and all the shops and easy to get to from airport by BART. Room was a good size, good free wi-fi, free tea and coffee in lobby 24 hours,... More

Clean, comfortable room; recently renovated. Excellent value compared with the relatively expensive competitors in the neighborhood. We enjoyed our stay here very much and will return the next time we visit.

We had a double room and it was immaculate. The desk staff were great but the cleaner should receive a special mention as our room was spotless every day. Great location for all things San Francisco. The only downside is the very noisy garbage collection every night. Although we were not sure that it wasn't people scanning the bins for... More

The hotel has a great location near Chinatown and Union Square. The actual hotel location is also a charming French neighborhood with good restaurants and bars. This isn't a luxury hotel, but my room was clean with a wonderful claw-foot bathtub. I didn't have any problem with noise. It's a great value in the city. The staff was helpful and... More

The hotel is nice, close to Chinatown and only 30minutes stroll to fishermans wharf, Rooms are okay size a little bit small, not much else to say, wasn't bad that's the main thing I guess. Just a place to sleep for the price you can't go wrong
