If you are wanting a 5 star hotel, do not read any further. If you are wanting an affordable clean, conveniet 2 star hotel, continue reading. PARKING: One of San Francisco's high expense. The parking spaces are "tight" but FREE!! We had a feeling of safety for us, the garage and our car. LOCATION: Located centrally - Broadway & Van... more

I stayed there with my husband and we really like the hotel. The room and bathroom were really clean, the staff very helpful (including the directions she gave us for tours), breakfast was good (got us going until lunch time), and the location is simply wonderful. With free parking we left our car at the hotel and got the guide... more

Booked our stay off the internet based on positive reviews and some posted photos. Didn't know what to expect when we arrived but once in our room was pleasantly surprised to find very clean quarters, bedding and bathroom. Nice little continental breakfast in the morning and you can't beat the safe, free parking which is not cheap nor plentiful in... more

Location was central and convenient. The neighborhood felt safe at night. The area has many restaurants, a good bookstore, laundromat, drugstore, and natural foods store within walking distance. Parking is tight - be patient if your vehicle is large. The complimentary breakfast is very basic and is available in the front desk area on a small counter - no dining... more

Checked reviews prior to staying at this hotel. Wanted something in city that was resonable. Called hotel when I got into city and got a room for $59.00 plus tax. Very basic room but very clean. 15 minute walk to Fishermans Wharf. Nice neighborhood, felt safe. Lots of restaurants and coffee shops nearby. Had lunch at local restaurant around corner... more

We stayed here because we were travelling on a budget and were very pleased with our choice. Parking is free which is a big plus and the other big plus is It's in a fantastic area of San Fran with the trendy bars, organic supermarket and cafes of Russian Hill just around the corner. Although the rooms were basic they... more

Castle Inn is in a good location - approximately 20 minute downhill walk to the waterfront area. Upon check in I was given a map, advised what areas of the city I shouldn't go to, and also provided a list of buses I could use if required. Walk back from the waterfront is doable, but there are hills to conquer.... more

We stayed in this motel for 3 nights. Good location. Clean big rooms, but a bit old fashioned. Free parking. Simple breakfast. Average service. Good restraints nearby. Good choice for travelers who need place to sleep. more
