A simple very clean friendly place with a convenient walk to the trolley and Fisherman's Warf. The rooms are very clean, basic and quite not to mention the low price. I'm about to travel back to SF Oct 2015 and I always stay there, recommended.

My husband and I stayed in this wonderful "boutique" hotel in January 2015. The staff was so friendly, accommodating, and very helpful in recommending a restaurant near the hotel. Our room was spacious, clean, and had everything we needed for an enjoyable 3 day stay. I highly recommend this little treasure and the location to the Fisherman's Wharf a big... More

I stayed with my family in this hotel two nights in August 2015. We were 5 people in family room. We loved this clean and nice hotel. It is a simple hotel with tiny lobby but with great atmosphere and great staff. The room was clean and spacious with nice view of Columbus street and the sea. The location is... More

This inn is in the heart of North Beach and within walking distance of Ghiradeli Square, Fisherman's Wharf, and many restaurants and shops. It is also on a transit line. The motel is basic, clean, offers free parking, and reasonably priced. The beds are comfortable. I could not hear any traffic or noise from other rooms. There is free wifi... More

This motel is in a great location and the staff is very friendly. We could walk to the piers, including the dock for Alcatraz, Fisherman's Wharf, Ghiradelli Square and Lombard Street. It is in a safe neighborhood, but next door to Bimbo's which is a night club and very busy on Friday and Saturday nights, particularly between 1:30 and 2... More

We stayed here for 4 nights. The location is good and if you have a car, the free parking is great. But, the place could definitely use some updating. Also, the room and bed were clean, but little things were overlooked. Air vents were dusty, etc. If you have a car, stay here - if not go elsewhere.

This is an older hotel, could use some renovations but who spends time in their hotel when you have such a great city to explore. Over all we had a nice stay and free parking. Our room had two double beds and a bathroom. No food service is offered but they did put out a bowl of apples everyday.

We stayed here for 2 nights during our first visit to SF. I had booked the room well in advance and was pleased with our overall stay. SF is very pricey but with that considered the price was good. It is definitely an older hotel with some wear, but was clean and looked to be well maintained. Parking was great... More

We stayed here for three nights. Ample room for lots of people and cases. Parking directly underneath. Wifi Access. Didnt call on staff so no comment. It is noisy however. You can hear outside very clearly and we were on the top floor. I would stay here again.

The room smelled of mildew and was really old, stains on the carpet, and the bed was sunken in the middle. We were on the top floor overlooking Columbus Ave. which was busy and there were interesting people watching. The gentleman at the front desk, Chris, was very helpful and nice though. I guess for the price and it being close... More

Staying in Russian Hill

Neighborhood Profile
Russian Hill
Russian Hill has evolved into a chic residential neighborhood with outstanding views from every corner. Combined with several great cafes, restaurants, antique shops and boutiques, it’s easy to see why any visitor would gladly leave their heart in San Francisco. Cars line up day after day to drive down Lombard Street, the “crookedest” street in the world, and make the slow creep downhill past charming period homes. Polk Street is the main drag in this neighborhood, where you will find trendy bars, cafes and shops populated with locals, but for one of the most charming rides in the city, grab a cable car heading up and down Hyde Street.
