The Columbus Motor Inn is at the perfect location for access to area attractions, transportation, Fisherman's Wharf etc. We walked to most places in the area and then used out 48 hr pass on The Big Bus line to get to other places. Parked our car in their garage, no extra charge added on, and never had to move until... More

The location of this hotel is perfect, plus free parking. The staff was cheerful, friendly and helpful. They sent us to local restaurants for dinner (fabulous Italian) and great breakfast within walking distance. The room was not fancy but clean and quiet. The location is a great starting point for a walking tour of San Francisco. We would stay here... More

Just returned with my teenager from a 5 night stay @ the CMI. The rooms are a little dated (but clean & quiet), we had 2 double beds, a large flat screen tv, hair dryer, soap & shampoo, a fridge ($5 per day extra). There was free parking but we didn't have a car since the city is easy to... More

This hotel had one of the best beds we've slept on that's not our own. The room was clean, water pressure in the shower was good, and it's just a few blocks away from Fisherman's Wharf, great street eats, the Trolley, and touring buses. Just a few blocks further and you're at Pier 39. We didn't have a car, but... More

The hotel is no frills.......no fridge, no fitness center........no restaurant or room servce, but it does have one fantastic amenity..........free parking! If you happen to have a car, because of plans to travel outside of SF.........you can't beat this. Free parking and easy access to the freeways. Hotel is outdated, but clean. I have been here at least four times... More

We found the Columbus Motor Inn to be an excellent value for San Francisco. Being from the Midwest, we are not accustomed to the prices charged by hotels in the San Francisco area. My wife and I see motels as a place to store out luggage, serve as a focal point when sight-seeing and a place to sleep...not a vacation... More

Sunday morning I watched in horror as a man stared at his cell phone while his dog defecated on the sidewalk. Then they continued on their merry way. I said "you've got to be kidding" . Not sure if he heard me.

Stayed for 2 nights at the end of July with 2 adults and 2 children in a 2 Room Suite. Main room contained 2 full size beds and separate bedroom had 1 queen bed. The bathroom is located off of the main area. San Francisco in the Summer is incredibly overpriced! I researched a very long time for the best... More

Hotel is a bit dated in the hallway however the location is great. About3-4 blocks from fishermans warf and pier 39. It was a10 minute walk. Buses right outside. Once we parked the car we never used it again. The other great thing about this hotel is that the staff were very friendly and helpful. Parking is free. Every other... More

With large rooms, free parking, and great location in North Beach near Fisherman's Wharf, this is a great base for families or couples to explore San Francisco. We always request a small refrigerator ($5 a day) so we can bring our own snacks and drinks. Get a CityPass for a day or longer and have free access to busses, cable... More
