Stay in this inn last July. We found it a very comfortable and convenient location for our vacation. Clean and the parking was very convenient and always available for us. Easily walk to Fisherman's Wharf and convenient to the other transportation systems. Unless you are planning to stay in your room all day, I highly recommend this inn.

We (me, wife and 10 year old daughter) have just returned from a few days in SF staying at the Francisco Bay Inn. We selected this property based in large part on reviews here. Our criteria was being close to Fisherman's Wharf, cont. breakfast, double queen room and free parking! The hotel is currently being worked on. It looks awful... More

Stayed at the Francisco Bay Inn from March 22-25th, 2005. Pleasant enough hotel, front desk staff very friendly and helpful upon check in. Construction work currently going on throughout the entire hotel which was somewhat of a nuisance, especially for parking. Good hotel for the price, rooms clean, but not very spacious. Biggest complaint was the rush hour traffic noise... More

I booked a room on-line at the Francisco Bay Inn, sight unseen for 3 reasons. One, THE PARKING IS FREE, two, the cost, and three, the proximity to what my husband & I wanted to do during our birthday and anniversary weekend. I must say, as it got closer to time to drive from LA to San Francisco, I was... More

Hospitality sucked!! However the area and rooms were very clean for cheap price. I would not choose to stay there again.

My Girlfriend and I stayed here for Valentines Day weekend. I couldn't be more satisfied. The staff was very friendly and helpful, given the quality of the rooms, I would have paid double what I paid ($75 a nite). But the best thing about this hotel is, they offer FREE PARKING!!!. Which is EXTREMELY rare to find in any downtown... More

Stayed there for 2 nights and it was enjoyable but was hardly in the room because we were seeing the sights. The parking lot was very crowded because of the construction. It was great if you didn't plan to use the car, which we didn't. The room and bathroom was very clean. You can't beat the price...mainly because you didn't... More

Everything about this place was excellent. For the very low price you pay you get a large room, great facilities, free breakfast, the most helpful staff i've ever encountered. I cannot recommend this place enough, it may not look anything from the outside but it certainly makes up for it when you step inside.

We noted the many excellent reviews for this Motel, and wern't disappointed. It's excellent value for money, and the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff was the best that we encountered in our 3 week trip around California. We stayed 14 thru 17 December in one of the Family suites (a King room and 2 Queen room connected by a... More

My wife, 2 kids & I stayed 3 nights (from Dec. 11 - 13) in the Inn's family suite on the top floor corner. It had been recently renovated so the bathroom is brand new. The room has all the facilities mentioned in previous reviews which really helped with 2 kids wanting to eat & watch TV after long days... More

Staying in Marina District

Neighborhood Profile
Marina District
Beautiful homes, beautiful people, and a beautiful backdrop of the Golden Gate Bridge welcome visitors to the Marina. Originally the location for the Panama-Pacific International Exposition in 1915 (whose remnants can be seen at the Palace of Fine Arts), much of the land was filled and flattened to accommodate a world’s fair. That ample space has given way to a jogger’s paradise at the northern edge of the city. With the picturesque bay setting as its backdrop, it’s no surprise that the area has hosted numerous movie productions. Daytime activities focus on café culture and boutique shopping, while the evenings turn this neighborhood into a party-going hotspot.
