The room decor is dated and somewhat shabby, but this can be overlooked given the room cost and location. The Inn is within walking distance to shops and restaurants on Union Street and Fort Mason. You can get to Union Square, the Mission, Hayes Valley or North Beach in 15 minutes via Muni bus routes just a couple of blocks... More

This hotel is located in an excellent, and safe, location (and right by one of the stops of a hop-on-hop-off tour bus). Even though parking is small, its there and its free. The rooms were clean and the bathroom was spacious. The staff was SO friendly and helpful!! I was genuinely impressed and happy! They gave me a map and... More

We loved our stay here and even got upgraded for free. The beds were comfy and the rooms were spacious. The inn is in an amazing location a couple of blocks away from the crooked street and union street where there are lots of cute shops and restaurants. We had a very pleasant stay and wish we could've stayed longer!

Good Location, you can walk to pretty much everywhere or take bus/train. Breakfast is pretty poor, and if you arrive late, there might be nothing for you. Rooms are nice, pretty clean- Nice area (fisherman's wharf is close).

The wifey and I were going to be in SF for only a couple days so we wanted to stay close to the action downtown but also wanted to find a place that had free parking, was clean, and not $250+/night! The Francisco Bay Inn met our needs perfectly! They had very friendly staff, clean rooms, free parking and was... More

This was a great find! Clean, well-appointed rooms, very central location, friendly staff and affordable (especially in San Francisco). Breakfast is a bit average though (only pastries and coffee). Ample free parking. Pleasant stay overall.

We had s huge deluxe king room. Super clean and comfortable. Fridge, AC, big tv. Pretty luxurious bathroom! No bed bugs. Nice and professional staff and for breakfast you had plenty of choices (you take it at front desk and then go to your room with a tray). In my experience good area, no uncomfortable feeling or so. But its... More

very friendly staff HOWEVER to take nearly an hr to book in was terrible, the rooms are dated but clean so not so bad, the breakfast was strange in that it was placed in the front office then one collected it to take back to the room ... ok but not separate to bookings in or anything and did feel... We stayed here for 2 nights. The staff at this hotel is soooo friendly and nice!! The hotel itself is dated but clean (who cares if the furniture is from the 80s, if the room is clean, who really cares?). Great location!! About a 15 minute walk to The Buena Vista (yummy Irish Coffee) and Ghiardelli Square and about 20... More

We booked through Hotels.com and got a reasonable rate, given how expensive San Francisco is. The room was a decent size, although on reflection we should have booked the two room family suite, we were 2 adults and 2 kids. The bathroom was very spacious and the whole unit was clean and well presented. The complimentary breakfast was a little... More
