Not much to add from the title, an odd scent pervades the hostel. I was in a private, ensuite double which was pretty much as expected. The fridge was handy, the shower was good once how to turn it on became clear. The whole place is just shabby around the edges, not dirty but not clean, dated throughout but functional... More

This hostel exceeded my expectations because I found it in one of those cheap websites and payed less than 40 per night. I think the usual rate is a little bit higher. I stayed in a 4 bed mixed room and it was better than expected: toilet inside, fairly clean, lockers (you need to have you own padlock) and decent... More

For the price, I am really satisfied. The room was clean, we had all you can eat pancakes in the morning, the hostel is nicely located in the city. The only cons I can think of is that the staff wasn't really friendly and they charge $20 if you loose your key card... I'm ok for a fee when you... More

Location is good. The hostel looks more like a hotel, has a very nice staff. Wifi is good, rooms are nice and clean, showers has really hot water! I didnt find the hostel very social but overall its a good hostel to spend a few nights in.

I booked a bed for 6 nights. I was told that I have to change the room after the 2nd night to which I agreed cause I'm nice person. After the second night I was told that I actually have to check out and check in again! It means: packing up all my stuff, leaving it in luggage room and... More

Location is ok if you don't mind walking up hill for 5-7 mins. going to Union Square though is very easy. They have free internet wifi and desktop stations. The room looks old and so as the furniture. bed sheets looks old too. I was shocked with the cleaner when I just finished showering when i saw him on my... More

The prices for the rooms are okay I guess, since SFO seems to be a generally expensive city. WiFi was working fine for me, there were some timeouts, but that wasnt such a big deal. The rooms are pretty... well, they could be better, the beds aren't really well constructed and our window had a huge crack. The bathroom was... More

I feel an urge to write a review for this hostel since so many have written so much negative about it. First I like to say that I have traveled a lot, both in Europe, southeastern Asia, Africa, Australia and now the U.S. since I'm a student I quite often stay at hostel. I found Amsterdam hostel in San Fransisco... More
