Looks can be deceiving. From the outside I was a little worried. But as soon as we checked in we were pleasantly surprised. Ricky was great!!! Gave us a map and told us where to go....and not go. Lol. The room was very clean and all updated. Free WIFI was very fast, and we left our car there while we... More

I stayed with my friend in SF for one week. We did book for a room with double beds but ended up with a single queen sized bed. But that's ok. The room is reasonable for the price and the wifi connection is good. However, the electricity supply is unstable, the fuse blew when I was using the hair dryer,... More

A very simple and basic inn with fast wifi. Inn keeper ricky was friendly. However, no pastry breakfast as stated, not even hot water. Unstable electricity supply for the fridge and hair dryer. Noisy at night. Surcharge in airport transport without explanation. Asked for credit card infomtion after full prepayment( won t allow cash deposit . subsequetly My card was... More

I was in town for a Dermatology conference. I initially booked only two nights at the Bay Bridge Inn, but had such a positive experience there that I extended my stay by three more nights. Ricki works the front desk and he's so helpful. He'll do anything for his guests. The room was super clean, bathroom was spectacular. It's not... More

I just spent 8 nights at this downtown hotel. Access to bus transportation and 5 minute walk to Powell Station to catch the MUNI all over the city. Ricky, hotel manager, was one of the most helpful, kindest hotel personnel staff I have ever encountered. His desire to make our stay PERFECT will make me use this hotel every time... More

we stay with our 9 month old baby, the frond desk attendant was amazing. Very friendly and nice, he give us a very nice room and directions to everything. From the hotel we walk to Westfield mall where we got good breakfast, then we took the F to the pier and Chinatown, everything was really close, the price is very... More

Excellent service from the manager who was very friendly and attentive. Room was comfortable but a bit noisy from street and from the manager's family living downstairs. Bathroom was fully renovated which was very nice. Neighborhood is not the best and avoid going west from the hotel. It's downtown San Francisco so expect to pass by a lot of homeless... More

The most important thing for you to know: the hotel is noisy (close to a busy street & highway). I sleep in earplugs anyway so it didn't matter to me. Without earplugs, I'd say subtracts 1 or 2 points from 'sleep quality'. Other than that, the rooms look new and very clean, the staff is extremely helpful and polite. Free... More

Reserved and paid a king room, but I wanted 2nd floor away from road so ended up with queen, but paid same price. Not so convenient. Front person kind, tried to make it work and would let us change next day, but we stayed where we were. Room ok, Spartan, no closet, door not easy to open or close, can... More

This hotel may be older but is convenient to Moscone Center where I can walk to from here. The staff is very freindly and helpful. Rooms are clean and if there is any problems the staff addresses them immediately. I reccomend this hotel for its convenience and ease to stay at.

Staying in SoMa

Neighborhood Profile
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighborhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighborhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
