My husband and I stayed here for a baseball game, and it was just ok. The room was poorly put-together and needed some up-keep. The lamp shade was broken, the caulking in the bathroom needed to be re-done, and the carpet was peeling up at the bathroom. The refrigerator clicked loudly every 15 seconds, but we had food chilling so... More

The Bay Bridge Inn was a clean, well kept hotel, with a manager (Ricky) that goes above and beyond to make sure you enjoy your stay! He is extremely helpful in guiding you around the city of San Francisco. We would definitely stay there again!

Very friendly and helpful staff, great location - very close to Moscone West and everything in Downtown San Francisco, quaint clean rooms (with a certain Twin Peaks esque feeling about them. Would recommend.

After a horrible day of losing everything we had with us when our car was broken into, Ricky and the Bay Bridge Inn were just what we needed. He sympathized with us and told us next time to bring our bags to him and he would keep them in his office until we could get a room readied. We needed... More

This place got its 2 stars for simply being clean. $17/day for parking. Super loud all-night long (and I'm hard of hearing). We received the ok to check out an hour late, due to our 1AM check-in on our honeymoon, but the cleaning lady busted in at 11:02. Absolutely no security or attempt to keep non-hotel guests off property. I'm... More

Is hard to give a rating for BBI cos there are pros and areas for improvement. The pros - clean room, access to Fisherman Wharf and Chinatown by bus if you don't want to walk. Of course you could walk to Chinatown and Union Sq. Location! Con - not sure about the neighborhood though nothing bad has happened when I... More

I stayed in room 106 which was great for me. I'm hearing impaired so the street noise was no problem with my hearing aids out. Ricky was just as others have described him - he takes customer service VERY seriously and was great. The room itself was great for a business stay. The fridge and microwave were quite convenient. The... More

It is a small and basic inn with friendly and accommodating staff. Nothing fancy and that the rooms are clean and well equipped. It is within walking distance to AT&T Park as well the end of the cable car line

A gem for staying in this area of the city or for Giants games. ( 1 mile from ball park) Free parking, really nice rooms. Ricky at the desk is who you wish everyone would be in any business interaction. He cares about you and doing a great job. Aprox. 170.00 a night. Be there, Aloha.

We stayed for a couple of days around Memorial day in this hotel. Coming from East Coast, we found the price to be very reasonable over long weekend. The resident manager was very courteous and helpful in guiding us. A very personal attention to take care of our needs.

Staying in SoMa

Neighborhood Profile
SoMa
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighborhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighborhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
