Considering the inn is in downtown, the cost is not so pricey. We stayed there from 25 Dec to 1 January and they were on high occupancy. Staff were nice and accommodating. Very clean and cozy, thick comfortable bed mattress which was important for me. 5 to 7 min walk to Market St. Bloomingdales. Definitely recommended!

I had made reservations for the wrong day but the guy running the place made everything right for me. He was so nice and helpful! The main reason I picked this motel was the location was close to where we needed to be and it had free parking. The room was very clean and updated. The only downside was there... More

Let's start out by saying that many of the hotels in this area amount to a couple hundred dollars a night. Plus parking fees, etc. When I'm traveling, I need a good place to sleep. This gave me that. It wasn't luxurious, but it was comfortable, clean, and friendly. There was a private bathroom, with great hot water. A functional... More

Ricki the Manager is having knee surgery op very soon - wish him well with that. His brother is stepping into his shoes meanwhile. Housekeeping ladies were just absolutely fabulous - they change bedding and towels every day, and were so cheerful and helpful whatever the problem was. Area that BB Inn is in, is being refurbished with new private... More

We spent 6 nights at Bay Bridge Inn mid Oct. While the accommodations weren't luxurious, they certainly met our needs. The bed was comfortable, room was clean, and the bathroom looked like it had been remodeled. The manager, Ricky, was very helpful and recommended a few good restaurants in the area. The only drawback is the neighborhood. I wouldn't recommend... More

After reading the reviews, I was willing to take a chance trying out a new hotel in SF. I really wanted to like the hotel, especially after meeting the front desk person. He was friendly, helpful and just very kind. The positives about the room were that it had a microwave and mini fridge. The room is very "worn", it smelled... More

Great location, the owners are very kind and welcoming, helped us with planning our day tour in San Franciscon. The room was big and Clean. Alot of parking spots, safe area. Even though the price was high, compring to other san Francisco expensive hotels, it was Worth the price.

Our room was on the second floor with updated bathroom and in room features like flat screen TV with dish network. The gentleman at the desk was keen to make sure everything was great for us. He was very welcoming and took great pride in his inn. There was some very loud pavement resurfacing or construction going on in the... More

Staying in SoMa

Neighborhood Profile
SoMa
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighborhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighborhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
