Stayed there for a conference and had an excellent experience. The hotel is in walking distance to the conference centre and other main attractions. Rooms are well equipped and clean and the staff is very helpful. The only possible downside is that you can hear some traffic outside.

The BBI is located in downtown San Francisco and is accessible via BART train or public bus from the airport(SFO). Hop on cheap public transportation nearby, such as BART train or Bus 292 to airport, public buses, F Line, old 1940's and 1950's electric cable cars and famous red cable cars to Chinatown or Fisherman's Wharf. Walk 10 minutes to... More

We stayed at this place for 6 nights. The rooms near to Harrison street might be to noisy for some of you. We used earplugs to have a good night. Our room was clean, though the whole motel needs a renovation. Ricky at the front desk was very helpful. All together it was worth for the price, but if you... More

The hotel looks a little bit run down from the outside but the rooms and bathrooms are extremely clean! No smoking in any of the rooms made the stay even more enjoyable. Ricky, the guy working the front desk, has such a great personality and is very accommodating. He showed us highlights of San Fran on a map, which turned... More

Stayed and the Bay Bridge Inn during a road trip up the coast. I don't normally drive to SF so I wanted something withing walking distance to public transportation and in my budget. Perfect hotel for my needs. They exceeded my expectations for the price I paid. I spoke to Ricky to book my reservation and he assured me Union... More

The Bay Bridge Inn is walking distance from the the station from where the cable cars start. The rooms are recently remodeled, the bathrooms look fantastic! Clean rooms. The staff was very friendly! I liked the $1 vending machine, stopped there every night before going to the room. This is definitely the place to stay when visiting San Francisco.

We have been attending a conference at the moscone centre. This motel is ideally located, about 10 min walk, and provides excellent value for money in comparison to the overinflated prices of the conference hotels. It is no frills but has everything you would need and is clean. The highlight of the stay was meeting Ricky, the owner. He is... More

For the price, this place is great. Hotel seem to have been very recently remodeled. Clean rooms with satellite TV and refrigerator. Service was friendly too. Cant really ask for more at this price point.

Can't beat the price , nice updated rooms , clean ,free parking. Will definitely stay there again. The staff was very nice. This place is walking distance to shopping, Chinatown, food trucks. The staff was very good on telling us where it was ok to walk, and what areas to stay out of . No different than any big city... More

We stayed here for 2 nights earlier this month (November 2014). The Bay Bridge Inn is great value for money, it's central and within walking distance of all major tourist attractions. More importantly Ricky, the manager, is a really kind and congenial man; he went out of his way to make our stay a pleasant one. Highly recommended.

Staying in SoMa

Neighborhood Profile
SoMa
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighborhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighborhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
