This hotel was nice for the value but i wished they had more than one person at the front desk especially when it was busy. The room was clean and so was the rest of the hotel. i would stay here again

This is a very good and reasonably priced hotel in downtown San Francisco. The hotel rooms have a contemporary decor, and are clean, with comfortable beds. The location is quite central, with easy access to public transportation, and not far from all the tourist spots in SF. There is a lounge/bar connected to the restaurant, and there are several good... More

The location is not good as there are many homeless people, drug addicts and drunks in the area and we were warned not to wander around outside after dark. The hotel was fine and the service was good. The attached Burger restaurant was very good and the food was reasonable, although the menu was limited. Transportation was 1 1/2 blocks... More

We had two grand kids ages 11 and 14 with us. The room rate was great for the area. The room was not large but the kids enjoyed the "living area" off to the side and the decor. The room was clean and comfortable. They loved the roof top pool. The restaurant was wonderful and a great place to eat... More

We stayed a Friday night and Saturday night. Friday night was quiet and Saturday night people were partying unil 3AM with loud talking, shouting and slamming of doors every few minutes. This kind of thing is not acceptable for family enjoyment and should have been handled by staff.

I was spent the night prior to a job interview at the Best Western in San Francisco’s mission district. Best Westerns are known for their strong brand or clean, comfortable rooms in the budget hotel space. This one did not disappoint – except for maybe the price…about $225 before taxes. But hey, you’re in San Francisco. The hotel is older... More

Hotel's location is close to good San Francisco landmarks such as the At & T park, Embarcadero, Union Square, City Hall, Pier 39, and others. The room is clean and spacious, bed is comfortable, fitness center and pool are available! The staff, especially the gentleman in the parking, had been nice, courteous and helpful. Free internet is also a plus!

I did not care for the furnishings (retro Americana). The hotel is located in an area where there are a lot of street people and close to an area of the city that the counter staff told us to avoid. The counter staff and valet service was excellent.

There was a sign posted next to an outdoor elevator that stated "WARNING This facility contains chemicals known to the state of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm. Staying in SoMa

Neighborhood Profile
SoMa
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighborhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighborhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
