This is a nice quaint hotel, affordable price, clean room, great staff., We stayed on 2nd floor, had view of golden gate bridge. It is noisy at night but you have to remember the streets are full of people and cars so there is nothing you can do about noise, this would apply to most any hotel you stayed at... More

I wasn't expecting much from this little place as we got an exceptional rate ($89/night in SF!). However, we had a very nice room that was clean and surprisingly large. Comfortable bed (and I always have difficulty sleeping when away from home), a large sitting area with windows that looked out on to the side street (I forget the name).... More

We are very happy to hear you were surprised about the room size and amenities, it is indeed an excellent rate during the low season. Thank you for sharing your comment and look forward to your next visit. More

We stayed on 2nd floor overlooking the street. It was fairly noisy until after midnight and then again around 6 am. From our room there was a "view" of the golden gate bridge over the rooftops. You can see the top of the bridge. Parking is available included in your room rate but I would recommend getting there early otherwise... More

Thank you for your recent comment on Tripadvisor. Due to our central location the noise might be an hindrance, however, it is within walking distance of restaurants and cafe's as well as 10 minutes away from the bay. We are happy to hear you enjoyed the the room and large space. you must have stayed in the Two Queen beds... More

I stayed here on Christmas Eve 2014 and had a great experience. Front desk staff was very friendly; I was helped by a gentleman named Muhammad. Service was exceptional and could not thank them more for taking care of their customers. Only reason I'm giving 4 stars is because they have very slow internet connection. I'll be back for sure.

Had a business trip in the market district. I was amazed by the value I've got for the price. If you can cope with the noise from the street, you won't regret it. In Chestnut street, there are more restaurants you could try!

Stayed here for one night in November . Rooms were fine , bed soft but reasonably comfy .. Very attractive price for San Francisco which can be ridiculously expensive sometimes. A little away from attractions but public bus out front and 5 mins to fishermans wharf .. Plenty of bars and restaurants nearby... Lombard st is a very busy thoroughfare... More

We've been here twice, both times we had a good stay. The rooms are large, clean and the staff is friendly. Close to everything, and a hop on hop off bus stop right outside. Our favorite diner is just a block down, and the whole neighborhood is nice. Make sure to get a room that does not face Lombard street,... More

Stayed here for three nights, and found this to be a clean, well priced hotel in a good location for sightseeing in SF. We had a room with two queen beds and found the room to be a very generous size. While the decor of the room was slightly older, it was nevertheless clean and well maintained. I had requested... My wife and I recently stayed at the Chelsea Motor Inn in San Francisco Ca. We live about six hours away and are in the city about six to eight times a year for medical reasons. We are always looking for a nice, cleam, and fairly priced hotel which is very hard to find in San Francisco. We found that... More

Underground garage with security, great place if you're visiting SF by motorcycle. Close to everything. Room was immaculate. We got some terrific Chinese take-out a block away. Didn't hear or even see other guests during our stay.

Staying in Marina District

Neighborhood Profile
Marina District
Beautiful homes, beautiful people, and a beautiful backdrop of the Golden Gate Bridge welcome visitors to the Marina. Originally the location for the Panama-Pacific International Exposition in 1915 (whose remnants can be seen at the Palace of Fine Arts), much of the land was filled and flattened to accommodate a world’s fair. That ample space has given way to a jogger’s paradise at the northern edge of the city. With the picturesque bay setting as its backdrop, it’s no surprise that the area has hosted numerous movie productions. Daytime activities focus on café culture and boutique shopping, while the evenings turn this neighborhood into a party-going hotspot.
