Had a business trip in the market district. I was amazed by the value I've got for the price. If you can cope with the noise from the street, you won't regret it. In Chestnut street, there are more restaurants you could try!

Stayed here for one night in November . Rooms were fine , bed soft but reasonably comfy .. Very attractive price for San Francisco which can be ridiculously expensive sometimes. A little away from attractions but public bus out front and 5 mins to fishermans wharf .. Plenty of bars and restaurants nearby... Lombard st is a very busy thoroughfare... More

We've been here twice, both times we had a good stay. The rooms are large, clean and the staff is friendly. Close to everything, and a hop on hop off bus stop right outside. Our favorite diner is just a block down, and the whole neighborhood is nice. Make sure to get a room that does not face Lombard street,... More

Stayed here for three nights, and found this to be a clean, well priced hotel in a good location for sightseeing in SF. We had a room with two queen beds and found the room to be a very generous size. While the decor of the room was slightly older, it was nevertheless clean and well maintained. I had requested... My wife and I recently stayed at the Chelsea Motor Inn in San Francisco Ca. We live about six hours away and are in the city about six to eight times a year for medical reasons. We are always looking for a nice, cleam, and fairly priced hotel which is very hard to find in San Francisco. We found that... More

Underground garage with security, great place if you're visiting SF by motorcycle. Close to everything. Room was immaculate. We got some terrific Chinese take-out a block away. Didn't hear or even see other guests during our stay.

The hotel is very well located on Lombard Street close to the Golden gate bridge and other tourist places. Big Bus - Hop on hop off stops just outside the hotel so very convenient. Large clean rooms, Parking available. Free wifi, Helpful staff, they kept our bags while we went sightseeing and called us a cab to the airport with... More

The location was good, there is a Big Red Bus stop just over the road and is in walking distance to the Golden Gate Bridge, Fisherman's Warf and the winding but of Lombard street (if you don't mind walking). The hotel was dated but had nice big rooms and had private parking for no extra which was useful. It was... More

Dear Robyn F, Thank you for your comment on your recent stay at our Inn. We are glad to hear you enjoyed your stay and appreciate the free parking as well as the location. Of course, it comes with some noise due to a central location surrounded by restaurants, sport bars and cafe's until early morning during the weekend. This... More

The hotel is located on Lombard St. and it is around 15 min walk to the fishermen wharf and Pier 39. The room is spacious and clean. The best feature of this hotel is the free car parking which can cost more than $ 40 at other hotels. There are many fast food chains and dinners near by.

Dear Saleh A, We are glad to see you back this year at our Inn and glad to hear you appreciate the free parking. This is a considerable saving per night and we are glad to offer free parking for one car per room where parking is a scarce in San Francisco. We look forward to your next stay at... More

very accomodating staff. we asked to check in 2 hours early, and they said it ordinarily would not be a problem, However, the carpets were cleaned that day and they couldn't let us. They invited us to park the car, which we did, and then got lunch. One of the trip advisor room tips I read was to get a... More

Staying in Marina District

Neighborhood Profile
Marina District
Beautiful homes, beautiful people, and a beautiful backdrop of the Golden Gate Bridge welcome visitors to the Marina. Originally the location for the Panama-Pacific International Exposition in 1915 (whose remnants can be seen at the Palace of Fine Arts), much of the land was filled and flattened to accommodate a world’s fair. That ample space has given way to a jogger’s paradise at the northern edge of the city. With the picturesque bay setting as its backdrop, it’s no surprise that the area has hosted numerous movie productions. Daytime activities focus on café culture and boutique shopping, while the evenings turn this neighborhood into a party-going hotspot.
