This was our 2nd time staying here. The beds are comfortable, the rooms were clean and are a good size. Our room was facing Lombard street and the noise level wasn't bad. With parking being limited in San Francisco it was great to have free parking at the hotel. It is in a good location so we ended up walking... More

I really like this hotel. Nothing fancy, but the price has value compared to other areas of San Francisco. The rooms are good size, very clean and beds are comfortable. The parking is free and secure. The location is safe, and close to Union and Chestnut streets. Buses in all directions are close by. This is my favorite area of... More

Location is great, rooms are well equipped (with huge and extremely comfortable beds). No noise in an interior facing room, despite being very close to the road. Particularly great if you have a car, however we didn't. Staff at hotel were friendly and accommodating.

Great location being on Lombard Street itself. We got the bus from just outside straight to the Golden Gate Bridge , and walked back! It was such a lovely day so was a pleasure to walk in, but it's only 45 mins walk. The Pier & Fisherman's wharf are within walking distance too. Basic room, could do with some modernisation... More

I have stayed here the last two times we have visited San Francisco. We used it as a start point for our road trips. It's a reasonable drive from SFO airport but a great place to chill for a couple of days and recover from your flight without wasting any of your holiday time. Its on Lombard street so it's... More

Our room was very clean and most of the staff were very friendly and helpful. My main complaint would be the ridiculous arrangement of their internet service. The first night our wi-fi worked fine. On the second night, a wireless access point disappeared and we could no longer connect to the internet. A call to the front desk with a... More

i stayed here with my adult daughter and son and have to say this was a perfect choice. The location was pretty much central to everything we wanted to do, such as, Muir Woods, Alcatraz, Twin Peaks, Golden Gate Bridge and many other spots. We did quite a bit of driving and having free parking for our rental car was... More

This was an ideal stop for us as a young couple visiting San Francisco for the first time. Prices here are often very high but the coventry motor inn was reasonably priced, perfectly nice and a comfortable walk from the main attractions. Be aware you will be a little out of the way and if on Lombard street, you will... More

Thought this motel was excellent at my recent stay in San Francisco. It's close to Fishermans Wharf and other SF attractions. The room décor is a little dated but they were very large rooms and the bed was comfortable. Parking was available underground and was free. There is an ice machine on each level which was handy as we had... More

The location is great, we walked to Fisherman's Wharf, evening walk to close by restaurants, definitely couldn't be faulted for location however the rooms need a make over and the staff at the front desk more training. If its value you are looking for then this is worth going for

Staying in Marina District

Neighborhood Profile
Marina District
Beautiful homes, beautiful people, and a beautiful backdrop of the Golden Gate Bridge welcome visitors to the Marina. Originally the location for the Panama-Pacific International Exposition in 1915 (whose remnants can be seen at the Palace of Fine Arts), much of the land was filled and flattened to accommodate a world’s fair. That ample space has given way to a jogger’s paradise at the northern edge of the city. With the picturesque bay setting as its backdrop, it’s no surprise that the area has hosted numerous movie productions. Daytime activities focus on café culture and boutique shopping, while the evenings turn this neighborhood into a party-going hotspot.
