We loved our stay here, the rooms were clean and spacious, we had a view of the Golden Gate Bridge in the distance, parking space was always available as it's included. The location was superb , buses run past, 5 mins to fisher mans wharf, it's just far enough away from the centre to get a local feel . The... More

Stayed two nights on Jan 16 & 17 and loved it. Asked for a back room due to other comments about the busyness of Lombard street and glad we did. Big room, quiet and clean the best part was the staff. Isabel and Tony were so helpful, pleasant and cheerful. Nice to end a long plane ride with a happy... More

We stayed 4 nights at Coventry Inn and it was a wonderful experience. We were given a room facing Lombard Street on our first night and we found it too noisy. We called down the next morning and no problem, there was a room free facing Moulton Street (the back). Housekeeping cleaned it up while we went for breakfast, and... More

Stayed here last July and came back for a second visit. This place really is a gem. Rooms spotless and well-furnished; comfortable beds. Well located and convenient to several important Muni lines. Chestnut Street with its many restaurants and boutiques is just one block north. Last but not least, the staff is wonderful!

After doing my research on trip advisor, I decided to make a reservation in this hotel, and I must say we are so happy to have stayed there! The rooms are really big, the service is very good, the place is quiet, has free wifi and free covered parking lot. Easy to access, coffee amenities, near the Marina and not... More

We picked this place after checking loads of places out online first and knew SF would be a tricky place to get somewhere inexpensive but not too shabby. This place was great value with plenty of parking, Tony was great on check in let us check in early and we found all the other staff really friendly and helpful throughout... More

Stayed for one night to attend my company holiday party. Located on Lombard close to golden gate and marina as well as cow hollow. Very attentive staff and Tempurpedic mattress . Free parking as well. Can't beat it for the rate

Let me start by saying that this is one of the cleanest places to stay in San Francisco. I have read a ton of other reviews talking about bed bugs, and other nasties but this place has none of that. The beds are incredibly comfortable, the rooms are very clean, the location is OK for the price you are paying,... More

Everything about my stay here was absolutely fabulous. Tony was very friendly when taking the reservation and a pleasure to meet in person. The room was very clean and had a great bay with sitting area which flooded the room with natural light and offered a nice partial view of the Golden Gate Bridge as a bonus :) Free parking... More

I have just spent 5 nights here. It is excellent value. Very comfortable, particularly the beds. Clean and central. No food but coffee/making facility in the bedrooms. All the people on reception are SO welcoming. They could not be more friendly and are very helpful with maps and suggestions for places to eat. I am travelling on my own for... More

Staying in Marina District

Neighborhood Profile
Marina District
Beautiful homes, beautiful people, and a beautiful backdrop of the Golden Gate Bridge welcome visitors to the Marina. Originally the location for the Panama-Pacific International Exposition in 1915 (whose remnants can be seen at the Palace of Fine Arts), much of the land was filled and flattened to accommodate a world’s fair. That ample space has given way to a jogger’s paradise at the northern edge of the city. With the picturesque bay setting as its backdrop, it’s no surprise that the area has hosted numerous movie productions. Daytime activities focus on café culture and boutique shopping, while the evenings turn this neighborhood into a party-going hotspot.
