Spent 4 nights here. Room bit small for 3. 40 min walk to Fishemens Wharf & end of line for old street cars. Wiggly Lombard Street up very steep hill about half-hour walk. Receptionists all very nice pluscleaners

Nothing fancy, but good lodgings in a city that charges not just expensive hotel rates, but parking fees. One of the mid-range hotels in the tourist area was charging $49 for parking alone! No thanks. Room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Wi-fi and parking included and were fine as well. Asked for a room off Lombard and had one on... More

My husband I stayed here for our babymoon trip to San Francisco. You will not find a better priced hotel for the value! The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. They also provide free parking. I would recommend requesting a room away from Lombard street. We were less than 2 miles away from Pier 39 and close to... More

We stayed March 16-20,2015.All the other reviews are spot on except I didn't find it dated at all (it has a flat screen t-v, tempurpedic mattresses, updated washroom and in room safe). I found it to be basic and no frills but for the price I wasn't expecting a lot of bells and whistles.Excellent location, extremely clean and well kept,... More

Good hotel with free parking. The bus to the center is within walking distance and at Union street you have some great places to have lunch or breakfast. The hotel is clean and the staff is friendly. In the back rooms the wifi could be more stable!

Close walk to fisherman's wharf. The rooms are very clean and also big, there is an in room safe (which is a deal breaker for us when traveling) coffee maker in the room, iron board, iron and hair dryer. They also offer wi fi and free parking. Now that is basically it but let me also tell you the price... More

The hotel is on a busy road and some of the rooms can be noisy, but it's very clean, also great location and easy to get around, fab little restaurant on the side street, on the corner. San Francisco is just amazing! We loved it.

We stayed here for 2 nights from Mar 16-18. Like other reviews have said, it is abit dated but the room was huge and had 2 queen beds. We walk to the crooked street (about 10 min walk) then cont on to fishermans wharf. Parking spots are small. We rented a standard SUV and it was tight. There is a... More

Staying in Marina District

Neighborhood Profile
Marina District
Beautiful homes, beautiful people, and a beautiful backdrop of the Golden Gate Bridge welcome visitors to the Marina. Originally the location for the Panama-Pacific International Exposition in 1915 (whose remnants can be seen at the Palace of Fine Arts), much of the land was filled and flattened to accommodate a world’s fair. That ample space has given way to a jogger’s paradise at the northern edge of the city. With the picturesque bay setting as its backdrop, it’s no surprise that the area has hosted numerous movie productions. Daytime activities focus on café culture and boutique shopping, while the evenings turn this neighborhood into a party-going hotspot.
