My boyfriend and I went to San Francisco for a 4 day vacation and stayed at this hotel. We found it through reviews on trip advisor and were not disappointed! It is walking distance to Ghirradelli Square and Fishermans Warf, and the customer service was great! If you are looking for a very hip and modern place to stay, this... More

This place is a great value for this city! It was clean, comfortable & affordable. The hotel also had free parking which is nice. We had a lot of luggage with us & the hotel provided luggage carts to transport our bags from the garage to the room. It does look a little dated, but it was part of the... More

Would recommend this spot to anyone. Clean, comfortable, and small. Recently re-decorated, by the look of things. Free wifi and parking, and that's something near downtown SF! We had an inside room, which means you look out onto a wall and only get a bit of sunlight from above. Not too much of an issue when all we were looking... More

I recently stayed here in a 2 bedroom room. While a little dated, the room was spacious and clean and the beds were large and comfortable. Amenities included a coffee maker and free WiFi. The hotel is ideally located to the 30 (to the Marina) and 28 (to the Golden Gate Bridge and Golden Gate Park) bus routes as well... More

This was a good find for the price. The bed was incredibly comfortable and if they weren't so expensive, we would buy one! My husband and I have never slept better. For that reason, we hated to leave. The housekeeping staff speaks mostly Spanish but they were friendly. Monday morning is apparently trash day and they are noisy early, about... More

Friendly and helpful personnel. Room was clean, comfortable bed. Room was off the street and lots of natural light filled the room. Location was convenient to bus routes, Chestnut St business , restaurants and shops. Price was very reasonable and parking was free!

Property and room was better than expected, except for the noise...it's literally 10 ft from Hwy 101. We stayed one night, so we dealt with the noise and slept fine after a day of walking the city. Recommend asking for a room in the back. The beds are very comfortable since they're Tempurpedic mattresses. The front desk staff was extremely... More

Great value for money! Location is excellent for wandering through neighbourhoods, highly recommend the Chestnut area and Union street. Staff are excellent, rooms basic but looked after. Had seen the reviews on bad Wifi but found just the opposite with very good reception even from the back of the building.

Not going to knock a point off for minor annoyance that WIFI was unuseable. Needs sorting ASAP! Otherwise fantastic hotel. Location, staff, rooms and amenities all top class at a price hard to beat in San Francisco. You would be silly to look elsewhere. Our king room was probably the nicest we have ever stayed in with a mix of... More

Neither good nor bad. Just a typical motel in an unspectacular part of the city. Good location for Fisherman's Wharf and Golden Gate Bridge access.Room was large, furniture was rather dated. Bathroom was upgraded and water was fine. Wifi was inconsistent. Parking is a great plus. The lobby offers maps and apples, but is more like a glass room inside... More

Staying in Marina District

Neighborhood Profile
Marina District
Beautiful homes, beautiful people, and a beautiful backdrop of the Golden Gate Bridge welcome visitors to the Marina. Originally the location for the Panama-Pacific International Exposition in 1915 (whose remnants can be seen at the Palace of Fine Arts), much of the land was filled and flattened to accommodate a world’s fair. That ample space has given way to a jogger’s paradise at the northern edge of the city. With the picturesque bay setting as its backdrop, it’s no surprise that the area has hosted numerous movie productions. Daytime activities focus on café culture and boutique shopping, while the evenings turn this neighborhood into a party-going hotspot.
