Traveling on vacation for three days. Stayed here because of the rates and trip advisors ratings. Room was a standard motel room. Bathroom was outdated probably because its a very old motel. Floors creaked and rain came through the sides of the windows. They put a towel on the window sill for the water. Beds were comfy and were fixed... More

Like other reviewers have said, don't let the outside fool you. When we first arrived, I too thought this place didn't look right at all. However I quickly changed my mind once we got in the room. Even thigh the room wasn't spacious but it provided pretty much everything that we needed :Big tv screen , microwave, fridge, etc. The bathroom... More

We recently spent six nights at the Capri Motel. It's in a great, safe, quiet location, and it was nice to retreat from the busyness of the city to this space. We were on the second floor, and were not bothered at all by the noise (although we did take earplugs). The bed was comfortable and the place was very... More

We stayed at Motel Capri recently, and our expectations were exceeded, The room had a fridge, safe, on-suite with walk-in shower cubicle, all to a high standard. In addition, we had a LCD TV, free Wi-Fi access and our room turned over every day without fail. Yes, sometimes there is noise from the corridors, but to be honest, you could... More

It's a very simple motel from the outside. Ths rooms are much more modern though. LCD TVs, cable, 2 very big double beds, minibar, microwave oven, coffee maker and a large desk with a chair. Cleaning staff does a very good job and front desk people are really friendly and willing to help. The hotel is pretty close to some... More

We were really disappointed. The communal areas were dingy and grotty. The room itself was clean and comfortable but we didn't feel safe in the room especially when we were woken twice in one night but two separate hotel guests walking up and down outside stomping and swearing. Nice!

We found that hotel prices in SF seemed quite expensive and many of them do not have parking or charge extra for this so I was pleased to find the Capri which had parking included. Having read Tripadvisor reviews beforehand I was aware this was not going to be a luxury hotel and when we entered the reception I was... More

We were looking for a hotel in SF for 2 nights and did not want to pay a lot. I booked this motel because of reviews I saw on other sites. We paid $140 a night. When I pulled up I was not sure what I had gotten myself into. When I entered the room my concerns were alleviated. It... More

We wanted accommodation for two nights on our visit from the UK. Hotels In San Fran are on the expensive side anyway, so we went for a middle of the road one. Capri Motel seemed to get reasonable reviews and the price was ok. Free parking was great in a pretty good neighbourhood. Only a few minutes walk to Union... More

In late August, we stayed 5 nights here because of the location close to our family reunion. Our room was only cleaned ONE night out of the 5 nights that we stayed. I mentioned this after the 2nd night of no clean towels, no bed being made etc. They were SO SORRY, but nothing changed. It was a decent place...the... More

Staying in Marina District

Neighborhood Profile
Marina District
Beautiful homes, beautiful people, and a beautiful backdrop of the Golden Gate Bridge welcome visitors to the Marina. Originally the location for the Panama-Pacific International Exposition in 1915 (whose remnants can be seen at the Palace of Fine Arts), much of the land was filled and flattened to accommodate a world’s fair. That ample space has given way to a jogger’s paradise at the northern edge of the city. With the picturesque bay setting as its backdrop, it’s no surprise that the area has hosted numerous movie productions. Daytime activities focus on café culture and boutique shopping, while the evenings turn this neighborhood into a party-going hotspot.
