From the outside this place looks really dated and so we were very surprised to find our room modern and recently renovated. The room had all the mod-cons and we were very comfortable. As other reviewers have said, San Francisco is not a city designed for motorists and so the onsite parking is a gem and worth the pennies you... More

I stayed here with my Husband for two nights as pat of our road trip. The free parking was a God send in San Fran. We arrived late at night & received a very friendly welcome from the check in guy. Our room was clean, comfortable & felt very secure. Wi-Fi was brilliant, probably one of the best we had... More

Stayed here again last July. The room was fine with no problems except one. The black out curtains don't come together thereby permitting people walking by to see into the room. GRANTED, there are gauzy, striped curtains that cut down the ability of people walking past to see in but they don't completely stop someone from getting a good look... More

Me and my family stayed at the Capri Motel one night on New Year's Eve. In reading previous reviews, it was mentioned that parking is limited, free and its first come, first served. We came early and was able to find plenty of parking on site. The staff let us park our vehicle, no problem; but could not check in... More

Great location - near to Chestnut St and less than 15 from Fisherman Warf. Provides a fats breakfast and small structure for cooking. Staff is very nice and helpful. Room with a light smell of cigarette, but the price make pay if you consider the other options available in the city. Enjoy your trip!

Traveling on vacation for three days. Stayed here because of the rates and trip advisors ratings. Room was a standard motel room. Bathroom was outdated probably because its a very old motel. Floors creaked and rain came through the sides of the windows. They put a towel on the window sill for the water. Beds were comfy and were fixed... More

Like other reviewers have said, don't let the outside fool you. When we first arrived, I too thought this place didn't look right at all. However I quickly changed my mind once we got in the room. Even thigh the room wasn't spacious but it provided pretty much everything that we needed :Big tv screen , microwave, fridge, etc. The bathroom... More

We recently spent six nights at the Capri Motel. It's in a great, safe, quiet location, and it was nice to retreat from the busyness of the city to this space. We were on the second floor, and were not bothered at all by the noise (although we did take earplugs). The bed was comfortable and the place was very... More

Staying in Marina District

Neighborhood Profile
Marina District
Beautiful homes, beautiful people, and a beautiful backdrop of the Golden Gate Bridge welcome visitors to the Marina. Originally the location for the Panama-Pacific International Exposition in 1915 (whose remnants can be seen at the Palace of Fine Arts), much of the land was filled and flattened to accommodate a world’s fair. That ample space has given way to a jogger’s paradise at the northern edge of the city. With the picturesque bay setting as its backdrop, it’s no surprise that the area has hosted numerous movie productions. Daytime activities focus on café culture and boutique shopping, while the evenings turn this neighborhood into a party-going hotspot.
