I am a High School Pastor from Salem, OR. I took 32 of our students on a mission trip to the Tenderloin in San Francisco and stayed at The Regency Inn. It was affordable and comfortable for our group. It was such a blessing to have a good place to sleep in the middle of the Tenderloin. The owners even... More

Yes, you're not in the safest of neighborhoods - but SF is a big city and there are homeless people everywhere, not necessarily just here. Lots of street noise, but then again, this is a big city. I have lived in worse places! Our corner room was clean and bright and had nice bay windows on each side. Tub could... More

Horrible, awful, in the worst area possible in San Francisco. Avoid at all costs, it will let you a really bad "memory" of San Francisco as the area is full of drug dealers, people sleeping in the streets, drug addicts and screaming women. Seriously, really really bad. Dirty, smelly, we even saw a mouse in the "breakfast" area (if you... More

I can't say enough about this hotel, staff, décor, breakfast, location. there was a lot of street noise not enough to not be able to rest. The location was great. The hotel was clean & fairly recently redone. This is the exact type of hotel I wanted. I would stay here again. I would say some people may not be... More

This place is horrible. It's surrounded by homeless people! I never seen so many homeless people in my life. They also don't have there own parking garage or lot and I didn't want to leave my car out front where all the homeless people were checking out my car. I was traveling alone and it was not a safe place... More

We stayed here in September at a price of $178 per night - hotel prices in the city seemed particularly high when we were there, I assume because it happened to coincide with the America's Cup Finals. The hotel is in a bad location (suburb of Sirloin) - whilst fairly central, the surrounding streets felt very unsafe and stank of... More

After my second night, I noticed bites on my feet, arms, and torso (see photo here: http://imgur.com/a0W0zJa). When I brought it to their attention, they argued with me saying "you're the only one who is complaining". I couldn't cancel the hotel, so I asked to be moved to a separate room for my last night. They even let some other... More

I am a single female, and i walked around this neighborhood by myself and i was fine. I even walked from Sephora Union St all the way to the hotel and was fine! Its a great price, the staff even gave me a ride to Sephora so I didn't have to take a cab. The men at the front desk... More

What a horrible hotel! We made a terrible mistake booking a room here. Let's see, where do I start? The hotel turns out to be in a very unsafe neighborhood, and it's far from everything. We were stepping over homeless people sleeping in the entrance way! The place smells of urine. The staff is rude, even the General Manager, Rizline... More

Arrived at the Hotel at 10;45pm, room smelled musty, 3 holes in the wall above the headboard, pulled white bedsheets back, dark spot in the middle of bed, pillow case with mascara stains, and water dripping from the ceiling above down the wall into the bathtub. Booked a room in this hotel over 3 weeks ago, through EXPEDIA ,( pictures... More
