Not clean , very dangerous noeghborhood. I hate their breakfast. Rooms are small, the elevator is not safe. Very bad customer service. No cancellation option once you arrive. I will not recommend this hotel to anyone . It is not cheap as many people think, you can actually get much better room somewhere else and for the same amount of... More

Looking for a cheap place to stay if you are armed or a ninja, I'd say stay here but if you have a family and value your safety it's not worth it. Our experience here was a nightmare, here's the highlights: The fact that there are homeless people is not the problem, it's the crazy aggressive bath salt zombie types... More

I needed to go to UCSF to see my doctor so we made a quick family trip out of it. The lady at front desk was nice easy check in. The room was rather small but worked just fine for a night sleep. The homeless outside were across the street mostly and didn't bother us. There was a parking garage... More

This was my first trip to SF and needless to say I was skeptical about this hotel reading all the negative reviews. Let me start by saying I have stayed in posh hotels on business at $600/night to dives at $100/night. I respect my health and expect a hotel to be at the very least clean and tolerable. This hotel... Stayed two nights here due to a booking mess elsewhere. If you are a confident traveller then you will be OK, It is BUDGET. It is in Tenderloin, do your homework. The mental health issues around this area are abound. Be careful but not paranoid and don't flash down the street with bling. Getting there after dark? get a cab... More

Okay, so first of all, I am the type of person who don't complain a lot but after staying in this hotel I felt the need to do it. And I feel that I should make a review about it to let everyone know about my experience to serve as a good advice to other travellers as well. I have... More

Horrible horrible horrible. Did I say the place was horrible The location was in skid row. Drug addicts, selling of drugs, etc etc etc. When reading other reviews for this hotel i was surprised. I would never recommend this location to anyone and taking children no matter what age is a crime. Don't stay in San Francisco south of Market... More

How to review the Regency Inn can be challenging, as mentioned earlier by Scottish Lassie. It seems that way too many people focus on the homeless people. Sure, you can stay less than one mile away at the Fairmont Hotel, not see any homeless people or drug addicts, but you'll pay about $675.00 per night, instead of maybe $100.00. Parking... More

LOCATION We chose this hotel for a one night stay, after looking at a map, and with no knowledge of the city, as it was centrally located, close to Union Square. (We already had accommodation booked elsewhere either side of this stay). It was easy to find, being right on a corner, above a mini market. It is in Little... More
