The room was spacious and clean , but a bit noisy. The hotel is older and needs new windows. The location is very convenient. The front desk messed up our reservation several times and our bill wrong. We were overchanger by over $400. They did credit back the error amount. more

I stayed here on business and the hotel itself has an old style. The rooms were clean and well proportioned. Only damper on the experience was noise from the room next door while they had shower each morning. The bar in the hotel was small and packed most nights. It is located 1 block from the conference centre, so very... more

Beautiful hotel, looks exactly as it does in the photos they have on their official website. Lobby is beautiful, so is the garden room with chandeliers and glass ceiling. Swimming pool lovely to unwind in. Great location. If you want to feel like you are having a treat everytime you step into your hotel then stay here. The gold and... more

I stayed at the Palace Hotel recently and thoroughly enjoyed it. The hotel is quite beautiful inside with beautiful ceilings, architectural details and decor. There is a nice bar (The Pied Piper) where we relaxed and enjoyed drinks before dinner. The room (king) wasn't huge nor was the bathroom, but that didn't matter at all to us, there was plently... more

We stayed at the Palace Hotel during a brief trip to San Francisco and loved our time there. The indoor pool was a tremendous hit, as was the downtown location. We loved our windows looking out over the city, and being close to a number of restaurants and public transport. The hotel itself is lovely, the staff courteous and attentive,... more

Best points: Proximity to waterfront and other attractions, beautiful historic hotel, very clean room, small but functional fitness center. Not-so-great: 1. Parking fees exorbitant like most downtown hotels. 2. Walls are thin. I could hear people having a conversation in the next room and people down the hallway sounded like they were right outside the door. 3.Service was bad-- Concierge:... more

I stayed there for a business trip and it was nice, but kind of dated. The service was great, but a bit on the pricey side. more

Clean, comfortable and luxurious hotel. It's older, but I appreciate the charm. The bed was so comfortable I didn't want to get up in the morning. My only complaint is the internet access -- spotty and unreliable. more

When you first walk in the front entrance to the hotel, the first thing you see is the grand dining room with the high glass ceiling with a huge chandelier hanging down in the middle. The whole hotel has that 1930's-1940's feel to it. All the hallways are wide and the rooms (at least the one we were in) have... more
