We had shopped around for hotels in San Francisco, which weren't blowing the gasket of our budget for the first night of our road trip around the Old West. When searching, we seemed to face two choices; expensive and over the top (for us) or full on dives. The Touchstone Hotel met perfectly in the middle - with a price... More

The room was and bathroom were clean, but really old fashioned. The matress hasn't probably been changed for the past 10-15 year. The strings were completely useless. The internet connection had really long delays and often nothing came through although the wifi showed full strength. The location is great and staff friendly, but if you have to pay more than... Last minute booking for a large conference, no wonder it was still available! Good location, walking distance to Moscone and fashion stores. I gave one start to the not too bad restroom. I checked in at 6pm and asked for a quiet location surely I was told I got the excellent room. My room was on 6th floor right next... More

Excellent location in the Union Square neighborhood. Within walking distance to many interesting places and very close to the Powell St Bart Station. It was my last day in the Bay Area and wanted to spend the day seeing more of SF. The room was very basic and small but very clean and in good condition. If you only need... More

Dreadful from start to finish. Check in Tuesday 15th September approx 8pm. Slow, uninformative, quite rude. The person on in the day was friendly and helpful. £250 a night (SalesForce conference) for the smallest, noisiest room I've ever stayed in. It had been decorated, so they were trying, but the lack of air con and the noise made it almost... More

We stayed here for our 6 day visit to San Francisco. The hotel was nice, small rooms, but adequate as most of the time we were out sightseeing. The location was fantastic, just a short block and a half from Union Square, where you can catch the Cable Cars very easily at the corner of Geary & Powell, much easier... More

Affordable double room with private bathroom. The room was very clean and luminous. The employees were very helpful and polite. The hotel is 2 blocks away from Union Square, so it makes this hotel a very good choice.

Other reviews will tell you the same. The location is just awesome. Nicely located in the Union Square area, a small walk from all the reasons to stay in this area, be it the public transport, the cable cars, the restaurants, car rental offices or simply to enjoy the vibe of this city. The rooms are small - we thought... More

I spend 2 nights there. The hotel is located not far away from union square, that's an advantage. From the airport it can be reached by BART, Taxi or shuttle bus. The last is most reasonable option: Lorrie's Shuttle as a safe and reliable company. ride: about 30 min to the hotel price: $17/per person The rooms are quite small,... More

We stayed here for 3 nights on our trip to San Francisco. The location was great. The hotel itself is a little tired and the rooms were very basic for the price we paid. The bottled water was a nice touch. The bathroom could do with an upgrade. The staff were friendly and helpful and the add-on breakfast next door... More
