Hotel staff was very warm and kind. Maybe you will feel like family. Located near the Union Square, very good place to touring of the city, shopping, ridding a cable car, walking around, all kind of restaurants, jazz bar with band, pup for drinking such as beer and cocktails with live singing. Feel the day and nightlife of San Francisco.

This hotel is very well located and the reception staff as well as the manager are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are small but comfortable and clean. The price is very good if compared with other hotels in the area. They provide free water bottles, ear plugs which I did not have to use, free wifi and the standard... More

Located in the heart of San Fran's best shopping district, the Touchstone Hotel is small but stylish with super friendly reception staff and perfect adjoining rooms for families. David's deli next door is perfect for breakfast and greatcakes and you can pull up out front to load or unload luggage but there's no parking. Not a huge variety of restaurants... More

The location of the hotel was good, which made up for a lackluster room. Our room was also facing an alley, and we stayed during one of the trash pickups in the morning which wasn't a great way to wake up. The room was clean and the price was decent for the area.

We happened to schedule our trip during a very busy week and almost every hotel around Union Square was booked or extremely over-priced. We were so happy to find this one at a decent price and we were even more pleased when we arrived and the front desk person offered us a quiet two-room combination at the back of the... More

We stayed here for a couple of nights on our honeymoon. The hotel manager was pleasant, and the hotel seemed clean and safe. The rooms were on the smaller side (but this is typical of San Francisco), though they offered large windows and a bed in the Queen room. There is a business centre to print itineraries or tickets if... More

The only good thing I have to say about this hotel unfortunately is the location. Very close to everything you need and would like to see in central San Francisco, the hotel itself however is not so good. I have never experienced such a noisy hotel, our room was situated to the rear of the hotel facing a youth hostel... More

Location, Location, Location! 3 minutes from Union Square. Across the street from the Curran Theatre. And the front desk staff are great and accommodating. However, I had a room on the 2nd floor with the windows looking out onto a central shaft, No screens. No air. Stuffy little tiny room. You had to open the windows for any air. Did... More

After being put on a standby flight in Las Vegas, our tempers were frayed, our suitcases missing and tiredness was setting in. We arrived 2 hours later than our original arrival time, but were greated with the most friendly receptionist at the hotel we've ever met. He was there pretty much 24/7. He lent us phone chargers and kept an... More

I spent one night here. Was in town for one night and chose this hotel, the price is excellent. The room was small but I didnt care about that and it was just me. The shower was nice and clean but the water pressure was low. Prob because we are in a drought and the pressure might be low for... More
