it's such a shame that this hotel, with its perfect location is nothing special. From here you can easily reach the city attractions, shops, restaurants but you can't sleep!!The room is ok, the bathroom is quite small but it doesn't matter, but the big drama is the noise. During the night, ambulances, cars, people never stop so you can't sleep... More

Affordable rooms close to downtown. Pros: Clean and quite room, cheap, private bathroom, smily reception. Cons: Even private bathrooms, it is outside of the room. No snacks in the room. Good and affordable for low budget trips.

The hotel appears to be a converted residential apartment turned into hotel, and has basically no lounge. It is a front desk with enough room for a single chair in front of it. The rooms are small, but clean, and well updated. The location is excellent, central and close to everything. The best thing about this place is the wonderful... More

The blond night staff lady was even colder than the hotel room. The night time temperature was 41* and when I asked about when the heat might go on she informed me that being a citizen from New York City, the cold in San Francisco should seem mild. I was suddenly doubtful about my own commitment to any green cause... More

Carpet was old and dirty. No fitted sheet on the bed was the worst part. They put a flat sheet on top of the mattress pad which OF COURSE would not stay on. It was disgusting to wake up and realize you are sleeping on a mattress pad. I would never go back. Very dilapidated. . Front desk staff pretty... More

Great location! You can take the Bart from the airport or any other transportation to the Powell street and walk from there. You can also walk to most attractions of San Francisco and enjoy the downtown closeness. Union square is steps away. The Hotel is old so are the hallways. The room was very clean and updated but small. I... More

Stayed here with a friend for a couple of nights. The room was small but clean. It's an old hotel but they have updated the rooms nicely. There only big draw back is that it is very noisy. It did not bother me too much but may bother some people. They did have ear plugs in the room. It was... More

I had a hard time locating the hotel because it has a narrow, one-door entry and even during the day you have to ring the desk to have them unlock the entrance to be allowed in. The check-in process was quick, and they provide a discount for the delicatessen next door. My room was very basic, and the mattress was... More

I took my time about adding this review, because i just couldn't make up my mind. I really object to the money this place cost me, but it is in San Francisco, and all hotels are expensive. I had to see past that. The room was very comfortable and everything worked. The bathroom was clean and functional. Could have done... More
