Our third visit to the Petite Auberge and unfortunately we were not greeted as a third time guest. Front desk staff was not friendly, we were shown to a small first floor room that was unbelievably noisy making sleep nearly impossible. Nice breakfast and evening wine with snacks, however, with many options available near Union Square, we were disappointed with... More

We are from Iowa, but while we were at the Petite Auberge we felt like we were at home. Very helpful staff, relaxing rooms, and excellent wine room. The cable car line is only 1 1/2 blocks away and 3 blocks from the shopping district.

My cousin and I arrived after 11pm and went to the sister hotel the White Swan next door to collect our keys. Actual keys! The lady on reception was really helpful and gave us maps and offered to carry our bags next door. We stayed in a standard room which was decorated in beautiful florals (as is the rest of... More

Just saying we loved the French country inn & English garden charm of Petite Auberge & White Swan; lovely places with floral wallpaper & European influences; however, not loving the new Indian/African/Indonesian decorating motif. Just doesn't seem to fit. Please reconsider...Thanks!

Great location, excellent staff, Great breakfast, Finally a hotel that has good coffee. We really enjoyed the evening wine. Room was very cozy. A small desk would be a nice addition. Some noisy early mornings outside should be addressed somehow.

Great place to stay. Thanks to Peter who really looked after us. He was such a personable and professional member of the staff. We really enjoyed the wine and cheese and meeting other travellers. So much fun! The room was quite small but very tasteful and clean. There is a lot of street noise, especially early morning. But, still overall... More

Great location in San Francisco. Nice breakfast and afternoon snack, great bathroom products and friendly staff. Fireplace in the room was an added bonus. Good amount of shelves and tables to put belongings. Room carpet is worn.

We so enjoyed our stay at this excellent hotel. Most attractive spot with a very homely feel. Staff very friendly, superb breakfast and drinks and canapes in the evening for all guests. Room very well equipped and location excellent. Hope to return again some day.

The service was excellent, the stuff was very friendly, wifi was sometimes not available, the rooms could use an update, breakfast was fresh and nice, I really liked the wine come-together at 5 pm, I will be back!
