The Petite Auberge is located close to Union Square, though it's an uphill walk to get there. The rooms here are very small. There's barely any room to move around inside them. The view from my room was terrible: it just looked off into a brick wall. The bathroom was also very small, but they do provide good soap/shampoo for... More

Great hotel and great location to many attractions. Rooms are small but clean and the service can't be beat! Complimentary wine happy hour along free breakfast. I will stay here again when visiting the city. Wonderful french theme throughout the property.

This hotel is a lovely, quaint, Victorian Bed and Breakfast. The staff is friendly and accommodating. Our room was #24 on the first level, a smaller room with a fireplace and a window facing west. The hotel is within walking distance to cable cars, restaurants, sites, and downtown San Francisco. They offer wonderful complimentary drinks, fruit, juice, tea, coffee, pastries,... More

The Nob Hill location is within walking distance of many attractions. There are also several very nice restaurants nearby. Breakfast and afternoon happy hour (5:00) are included in the price which makes this a great value. Afternoon happy hour could be a light dinner. Our room (526) was spacious and had nice airflow because it was at the back of... More

If you have ever traveled in Europe, you'll feel like you're back at a small French hotel somewhere off the main streets of Paris. It's a quaint, small, cozy setting off a main street that offers the charm of a smaller boutique hotel and the amenities as well. In the parlor, you'll find coffee, tea, water, fruit and soda complimentary... More

Visited Northern Cali for our Honeymoon in early July, shocked when planning at the prices of hotels in SF...so we took a risk (or so we thought) on the cheaper offering at Petite Auberge since they were heavily reviewed with very few "horror stories". We chose the Deluxe King with fireplace room, the receptionist was extremely polite and let us... More

We stayed for 4 nights. It is very old fashioned. We unfortunately had a room on first floor. The floors are very creaky and pipes loud, so I could hear people above me. Could hear bed creaks, toilets flushing, people walking, all through the night. Street noise is pretty quiet with the windows closed however you can hear people at... More

My husband and I stayed here for two nights. Hotel staff was excellent. We enjoyed the free breakfast, refreshments and happy hour. Delicious wine and appetizers along with great conversation with fellow guests. I would suggest ear plugs bc there is no ac and if you have to leave the windows open, you will hear street noise. Great location within... More

Tucked in amongst the big name hotels in downtown San Fran is a real jewel - the Petite Auberge. Convenient to everything - especially public transportation - this safe, comfortable and cozy hotel has amenities you cannot find in the name brand hotels. There is happy hour with free wine and appetizers, full spread breakfast and a well stocked beverage... More

We stayed here for five nights at the end of June. The staff was incredibly helpful, friendly, and approachable, and definitely the best thing about this hotel. Our room was as advertised, with good use of space and plenty of storage for two people. We selected this hotel based on location and amenities (free wifi, complimentary breakfast, etc.), and were...
