Comfortable room with a balcony. Enjoyed the garden, outdoor patio, hot tub and rooftop patio. The common areas are wonderfully decorated and comfortable. A delicious buffet breakfast in the parlor each morning with classical music softly playing while we read the NY Times and SF Chronicle. The staff is the best part: efficient, courteous and very friendly. Even all the... More

I love this place. Very cute, comfortable rooms, great breakfast. The place makes you feel like you have gone back in time. Staff are friendly. There is also parking. It is not in the center, but if you like walking it is only a mile or two from the center. If not, the staff can assist with getting a taxi... More

Cozy room, plentiful breakfast, and a great location added up to a wonderful stay in the Mission district. The snacks, hot tub and garden were pluses. Easy to get to the Bart station or to hail an Uber on Van Ness to get downtown quickly. It was fun chatting with Marty, the owner and Liza and the staff worked to... More

My mum and I had a delightful two-night stay in April. The large Victorian house is choc full of antiques and it did feel like we had stepped back in time. The staff were extremely hospitable and went out of their way to help. The rooms were clean and breakfast was plentiful. We also had fun in the garden hot-tub!... More

Great room. Very clean. Customer service was outstanding! Enjoyed the garden in the back with breakfast. Very Victorian charm. Breakfast was always great and the perks with the stay made us feel like welcome guests.

The Inn San Francisco is a welcoming refuge, a step back to much kinder times! The Victorian decor is completely enchanting, transporting guests to a relaxing elegant escape from their everyday existence. With the helpful, friendly and engaging innkeepers, the Inn San Fracisco very quickly becomes a "home away from home!"

Soft beds. Nice staff. Excellent breakfast. Great location. Complimentary candy. But these things are not as important as the unique atmosphere that makes this the best hotel/b&b/home away from home we've ever stayed at.

Our disorganized family of five was quickly organized into the lovely rooms by the excellent staff. They helped us use every moment to relax in the peaceful shared spaces or enjoy the lively neighborhood. They pointed us to great touring and great food. Their pride in their inn and neighborhood, and their desire for you to enjoy your stay shines... More

Absolutely gorgeous all the way around. Beautiful Victorian mansion. Wonderful service, friendly owner and staff. They have the most outstanding breakfast from fresh fruit, breads, cereals, hot egg dishes to outstanding coffee! They have dishes of nice candies throughout the area and in your room. Coffee is available all day along with fresh fruit. Also, they provide sherry in lovely... More

We loved our two night stay here. The owner, Marty, greeted us on arrival and made us feel so welcome. He even gave us a lift to our friends' house in Potrero Hill when he though it was too far away to walk. He really didn't have to do that but it was much appreciated, he really made us feel... More

Staying in Mission District

Neighborhood Profile
Mission District
From burritos to bicyclists, the Mission is the foundation for all things hip in the city. Cultural attractions, an independent arts community, sumptuous street murals and a high density of bars and cafes make this neighborhood a magnet for young people. While terrific inexpensive food is abundant, its top-of-the-line restaurants now compete with the city’s best for fashionable diners. Indulge as the locals do by heading to Mission Dolores Park, buy some ice cream, and savor one of the most diverse neighborhoods in the country.
