Even though it is located away from the typical tourist attraction sites, it is still within walking distance. Loved the room decor and the separation of toilet from the shower and deep soaking tub and plenty of space to hold toiletry. The neighborhood is safe with so many places to eat. We loved it

We stayed in Hotel Kabuki only because closest to California Pacific Medical Center. Window in my room was decorated in Japanese style but nothing to talk about. We had two rooms, single room is fair but twin bed room is not large enough for two beds. Each room had Keurig coffee maker but coffee pack, condiments were not high quality.... More

Every 4-6 months I come in from out of town for medical tests at CPMC. I have stayed at the Hotel Kabuki several times during these trips. They offer nice patient rate and are a shuttle stop for CPMC. This makes it very convenient for those needing to go back and forth to the hospital. Every time I have stayed... More

After a long, tiring drive from LA to San Francisco, we finally arrived at the Kabuki. We were instantly impressed with the valet service and Dominque's help on reception. He gave us a lot of local advise and checked us in with ease. Our rooms were beautiful and we really enjoyed our time in the hotel. My only qualm would... More

A part of Japan Town and close to Jazz and Shopping either in J-Town or on the Fillmore. The hotel is within easy walking distance to a number of Jazz Clubs on Fillmore Street heading south. Heading North there is great shopping and restaurants along Fillmore in Pacific Heights.

Our oldest daughter was in ICU at the California Pacific Medical Center for 3+ weeks. We live 3-4 hours away from S.F., and were looking for a hotel with reasonably rates near the CPMC where my wife could stay while I held down the home front. We booked three stays for 3-4 nights each at the Kabuki starting in July,... More

this hotel was a great surprise! the room are a nice size, the decor is typical and relaxing and it has a great bar. It was great to explore the neighborhood on foot. Parking was hard but that is typical for SF. We had a perfect stay here. Relaxing an trouble free.

Room 1406 was described as a "deluxe double with a balcony." This is my fourth time at this hotel and I guess this time they decided to screw us over. Its a shoe box with a tiny TV and window, not a balcony. ...When I called the front desk they clearly did not care about our disappointment with the room,... More

Like most JDV hotels, the Kabuki is a lipstick on a pig hotel. JDV takes ran down properties and rehabs them into neat little trendy boutique hotels. Cool formula and often cool outcomes. The Kabuki was probably nice in its heyday, but its a bit tired and it needs a new JDV style revamp. Fixtures old, room smelled a little... More
