We have stayed here several times now. Most recently in November 2014. We just love the whole Japantown area. This visit we were there for opening weekend of the 2nd Hunger Games movie. We booked our tickets online for the nearby Kabuki Cinemas. Our room was the corner king, which is our favorite! As always the hotel staff were warm... More

We spent three days there over Christmas and can't say enough about what a terrific staff! They couldn't have been more helpful, professional, or friendly. Our only nit-picky complaint (although that sounds like too strong a word) might be that the hotel is looking a tiny bit rundown. I do understand that they are in the process of a redecoration... I just spent the last four nights in the Hotel Kabuki, and have adopted it as my place to stay in San Francisco from here on. The staff is incredibly nice, they know your name, they are accommodating and eager to please. Kudos to Tim, the doorman, for making an exceptional first impression. I had a king deluxe room on... Stayed here for a conference also at the hotel. The hotel is in Japantown. The location is not very conveniently located for walking but is a short cab ride to most attractions. The hotel is attractive with a Japanese theme. My room was comfortably sized. Their heating/air conditioning system is bizarre. I went to the front desk to complain how... More

I always enjoy staying at Kabuki Hotel while in San Francisco. The friendly, helpful staff is amazing. The rooms and the common areas of the hotel have a lot of character. It would be great if the hotel restaurant served more traditional Japanese food at dinner.

Not to let the secret out but the Kabuki is a good value and place to stay. In the heart of Japan Town it's quiet, and pretty centrally located. You have to like Asian food if you are going to dine in the area but you are also not far from Fillmore Street. The nightly AAA rate was very good... More

Service at the desk was unpersonal and not concerned. Room tidiness was average and it was quite noisy. Location was as expected. We rented a car and had to pay extra to park it for a couple of hours at their parking lot. Good size of the room

While it's a pleasure to have welcomed you and to hear you enjoyed our spacious accommodations, it's concerning to hear of the lackluster reception received from our front desk. This is atypical of the more common feedback received, and we'll quickly explore and amend any shortcomings on your behalf. Thank you for bringing this to our attention; we'd love to... More

I don't think that I've ever met a nicer or more professional staff at any hotel that I've ever stayed in, this includes the front desk, to housekeeping, to valet, the restaurant staff. Everyone made our stay wonderful. I highly recommend.

Terrific find in the middle of the city. Clean comfortable rooms, with a bathroom size surprisingly large. The price was excellent. Except for a good mile to the Bart, it is within walking distance of many attractions.

My wife and I came to visit San Francisco for her 30th birthday and we had a great time. The hotel is convenient to public transportation and the staff here are friendly and knowledgeable about the city. Our room was excellent (although a bit noisy due to outside traffic). The one change I would recommend is to have fewer items... More
