It's a bargain in the midst of a very expensive city...A little different but we liked it and we will stay again when visiting San Francisco. There are just a few rooms in this hotel and you check in at the bar of the restaurant (aka: Sauce) where you get your keys and a code to get into the sleeping... More

My family stayed for two nights in June, and we had a great time. I found Sleep Over Sauce to be a lot like a European B&B, with its casual atmosphere and quirky charm. The room was somewhat small, but plenty comfortable for the three of us. The beds were very comfortable, and the bathroom was nice. There is storage... More

The place was alright. The bed was plenty comfy, the staff was nice for the very short interaction I had with them. For the price, I thought more would be offered in terms of breakfast and location, but coffee, cereal, and bagels/ English muffins were enough to get the day started. They warn you not to park on the street... More

I really liked this urban guest house in San Francisco. It has eight guest rooms above an excellent restaurant called Sauce on Gough Street. The double room I stayed in was very comfortable and well equipped with a balcony which was handy as my boyfriend smokes. The reception was unmanned, but this was not an issue. Breakfast and drinks were... More

Really enjoyed our stay at Sleep Over Sauce......All the staff were very friendly, Rooms were clean and Beds were COMFY !! Close to bus line to get to Pier 39 and other attractions. Enjoyed the Common Area that everyone could share and relax in.....different couches, chairs, desks. Fresh coffee in the a.m. (and all day) fresh fruit, cereal, bagels &... More

Great value. This hotel is clean and welcoming. The staff is friendly. There are great restaurants within walking distance and about a 10 min ride from places like the Jazz district and the wharf. I will stay here again.

We stayed at Sleep Over Sauce for five nights during our stay in San Francisco. It was a great, economical place to stay and we would definitely go there again. The staff was kind of behind-the-scenes, not in-your face. They basically were the bartender and chef, and a couple other personnel from the restaurant downstairs. If you need something, you... More

We travelled as 2 couples and had the 2 Bedroom accommodation which opened onto the open plan livingroom/kitchen meals, and had a private bathroom. This was like a home away from home for us. At the end of a busy day sightseeing, we could wind down, have a few drinks then head out for dinner. Sauce was a great night... More

I've stayed here twice and love it - a friendly, welcoming atmosphere and relaxed vibe. The rooms are comfortable and clean, plus have great showers. And the restaurant is lovely, really great menu and reasonably priced. The location is ideal, Hayes Valley is a great area to hang out in, plus just a short tram ride or walk from the... More

I stayed at Sleep Over Sauce last week. It was fantastic! The location is great and the rooms are nicely done. Very clean and comfortable. The great room is a wonderful place to relax with continental breakfast items available. There was no reason to go far to enjoy great food and fun. We had a phenomenal dinner and signature cocktails.... More
