We stayed here for three nights as part of our honeymoon. It was exactly what we were looking for in that it was quirky and different and so far from a soulless hotel. The room was very comfortable with a Fab Four poster bed. The champagne breakfast and daily cheese and wine made for such relaxing experiences. We will recommend... More

Basically, if they've availability, book it. We stayed just two nights and wished we could have stayed longer. We stayed in the Isadora Duncan room which had it's own private bathroom across the corridor. Which almost put us off making the booking but in fact it was more than fine, the bathroom was huge and very tastefully decorated. It was... More

I had the pleasure of feeling like part of the Chateau Tivoli's extended family last night when I stayed with them in their luxurious inn. From the moment I arrived, and Meredith helped me with my bags, directions for dinner and all else needed, I felt very welcomed and supported. A terrific wine and cheese from 4-6, a delicious full... The Chateau is very romantic as you can see on the photos, beautiful decoration, details on every wall...the furniture, the hole place has this style. Near of Alamo Square, at least three lines of buses around two walking blocks. There is also a parking lot for $25 day. The breakfast is delicious and there's the happy hour with cheese, wine... Our second visit and it was lovely to be welcomed back like old friends. It was good to see Nico & Meredith again and they couldn't have been more helpful - we could only stay one night on this trip but they let us drop our luggage off early the day we arrived and kept it for us until late... More

Wanted to stay at a nice B&B away from the touristy section. Stayed 5 nights in the Luisa Tetrazzini Suite. The suite was absolutely gorgeous. The only thing I was surprised at was the old carpeting that still remained. The rest of the mansion had been restored, but the old pink carpet remained. The separate sitting room was quite nice,... Nice B&B. Friendly staff, always ready to help. The building is really impressive. We reserved a room with a shared bathroom because it was the only one left, but finally it was not an issue at all. We were pleased with our stay. The brunch breakfast on the weekends is amazing. By walk, you have access to a few nice... More

Our third visit!! Kind of says it all really. It was just like visiting good friends rather than just staying over in a bed and breakfast. Nico as on the last trips was an impeccable host/inn keeper and generally a really great guy. It was also great to catch up with Meredith, again her service and approach was faultless. The... More

We spent 5 days in the Lily Langtree suite and could not have found a more delightful place to stay in San Francisco. The Chateau is beautiful, quirky, classy and full of character. The decor is fits the era and the whole feel is calm and dignified. Our suite was advertised as being "in the basement", but with the hilly... More

My family and I stayed for 3 nights at this delightful B&B. It's very quirky and charming. The rooms are lovely (and no TV - how fantastic. You don't go on holiday to watch TV anyway.) I normally sleep very badly in hotels, but our bed was extremely comfortable. The B&B is a bit outside of the centre of SF,... More
