We spent 5 days in the Lily Langtree suite and could not have found a more delightful place to stay in San Francisco. The Chateau is beautiful, quirky, classy and full of character. The decor is fits the era and the whole feel is calm and dignified. Our suite was advertised as being "in the basement", but with the hilly... More

My family and I stayed for 3 nights at this delightful B&B. It's very quirky and charming. The rooms are lovely (and no TV - how fantastic. You don't go on holiday to watch TV anyway.) I normally sleep very badly in hotels, but our bed was extremely comfortable. The B&B is a bit outside of the centre of SF,... More

Stayed two nights at chateau tivoli, excellent service from Nicholas and his team, very helpful and friendly. Made a real change to stay somewhere with such character instead of a run of the mill hotel room. Weekend champagne brunch was fantastic as was cheese and wine served in the parlour in the afternoon. A highly recommended stay.

We had an awesome room here. Well appointed and the breakfast was good. It is such a unique place to stay in SF. The room was a little expensive at ~$200 per night, but many places in SF are much more expensive.

I was shocked. The historical house was beautiful and wonderfully located only a few blocks from the famous Alamo Square park. The actual room we stayed in (the Enrico Caruso room) was very nicely decorated. But, there was no breakfast the next morning! They had a "continental breakfast" available - which basically amounted to cereal and toast. This was shocking... More

Stayed here late October 2013. We were in the Jack London room. Very tidy and the turret was super cute! Only problem I found with room was lack of power sockets near bed, but I guess that comes with and older building. Sharing the bathroom with the room next door was never an issue, and if we were desperate there... More

Chateau Tivoli is a boutique hotel / guesthouse in San Francisco. The building, its interior, its decoration scream original period detail. The hotel has modern creature comforts such as wifi and en-suite bathrooms, but other than that you feel blissfully transported back to another era. It is a period building, so there is no double glazing and no air conditioning... More

On the upside, this is probably the most gorgeous house I've ever stayed in. The room (we were in the Isadora Duncan) was spacious, clean, with a beautiful, high, painted ceiling and a nice, comfortable bed (slightly short for me, but I'm 6 ft tall, so almost every bed with a foot board will be short for me). It was... More

We only needed a place to stay for one night and are glad we came across this reasonably-priced Bed and Breakfast. As we had just come into town very early in the morning after a cruise, we were happy that Meredith of the Chateau welcomed us in the morning and allowed us to keep our luggage there while we explored... We loved the location of this lovely lady,- this Victorian charmer. We did not have a car during our 5-day stay and could easily access several bus routes from this ideal spot. its only a few blocks from the BART station, too, for an easy trip to or from the airport. Our accommodation was on the third floor, in a... More
