For the price, location, and access to public trans, this is probably the best value in the city proper. Communal bath facilities, but always clean and totally worth the comparative price savings. Great breakfast service.

The B&B is very clean! The rooms are nicely furnished and lovely arranged facilities like bathrobes and towels etc. The hosts are helpful and friendly. Would stay there again, anytime.

My girlfriend and I stayed two nights in this B&B in mid June. We thought that the hosts were very hospitable and helpful, advising us where to go for a dinner/drink and how to get around the city (it was our first time in San Francisco). There were always fresh fruits, yoghurts and juices in the kitchen-area fridge waiting for... More

My girlfriend and I stayed at the Willow Bed & Breakfast May 13th and had a great time. Everyone was so helpful and friendly. Even though the bathroom and shower were not in our room they were close at hand. It was also helpful to have a sink and refrigerator inside the room. The bed was comfortable, we slept like... More

I stayed at the Willows twice over the space of a week, first in one of the front, larger bedrooms for four nights, then a few days later for a single night in a smaller room at the rear before flying out. I certainly enjoyed the larger front room with a nice daybed in the bay window to relax in... More

I recently stayed at The Willows, and it was a really GREAT find! The entrance is obscure, but once you climb the stairs, you feel right at home. The staff was very courteous, the facility was very clean, and the proximity to everything was wonderful; Muni just across the street, Castro 4 blocks away, Hait and Ashbury a 15 min... More

As other reviews have stated, it's hard to tell from the outside what to expect from the inside. There is just a door on street level. But inside it is a nice place. The location is great. I took the BART to a MUNI transfer and got off less than a block away from that 'Door' Based on the price... More

This cosy gay hotel is just right. The rooms are beautiful, as are the common areas, the bed soft, the staff are efficient and friendly, and the breakfast is good - fresh soft fruit, etc. The location is right by Church subway station, so convenient for Castro, and only 15 min by subway down to the Ferry Terminal. Note the... More

We booked the Inn for a one week stay in SF in October. The reception we received was great! Okay, the second floor walk up was a little challenging if you have much luggage, but once you're there it's not really any problem. The breakfasts were awesome with a great selection of fruits and fresh pastries, cereals, juices, yogurts, etc.... More

First impression of the Willows was not great, it's above a vietnamese restaurant on a busy intersection, so a bit smelly & noisy if you're at the front. But once you get over that, the Willows is a cool place. Jame the Innkeeper was really helpful, the place was spotless and breakfast has everything you could want. The place is... More

A flourishing commercial area that acts as San Francisco's LGBT community center and cultural heart, the Castro is a neighborhood welcome to everyone. As one of the first predominantly LGBT neighborhoods in the United States and currently its largest, it remains one of the epicenters of activism in the nation. Grand theaters and glitzy shops now compete with bars and fashionable eateries for attention, drawing visitors from around the world to the bright rainbow flag acting as its beacon.
