San Francisco is a difficult city to drive in. It was wonderful to have valet parking (for a surcharge) and step into a charmed, historic hotel. The staff were wonderful and caring. The 4pm sherry and hot tea was delightful. The rooms were small but spectacular. We had a corner room with a view of Union Square and the sound... More

Have just stayed for 3 nights , would recommend. It is in a great location very central to most things . The staff were very helpful and friendly , rooms were clean and beds comfy . We booked this hotel through trip advisor and we're not disappointed.

My girlfriend and I decided to spend a day in the city and Christmas shop, and spend the night. Neither of us had heard of this hotel. To our surprise, it was quite charming, great location, small room, but very comfy beds. Very reasonable for the location. We arrived 3 hours before check-in, only wanted to valet our car, but... Stayed at this hotel for 4 days (late November 2014) it is very centrally located near Union square, Macy's and other shopping outlets and a couple of small restaurants. The hotel had a tasteful decor, was clean and the day staff were very attentive and courteous - however after arriving late 11.30 pm - and going straight to bed, I... More

The hotel isin a great location for shopping, chinatown and transportation. However, this area does not have a great selection of restaurants. Best to jump in a cab if you want more of an interesting selection. The rooms are nicely decorated and clean, the bed comfortable. However, slamming doors and noise from the hall can be quite loud. Walls not... More

The rooms were a tad small but very clean! Bed was not very comfortable..... But it was a super cute place with lots of character right off of Union square!! We stayed on Thanksgiving day and the staff really took take of us! We would totally stay there again! If I had know a head of time we might have... More

This hotel is centrally located. A block away from the main union square area (ice skating rink, Macys, etc). However, its about 4 blocks from the Bart coming from the airport. Which is still not that bad of a walk, just something to think about when you have luggage. The hotel is decent, not the best, yet not the worst... More

My daughter and I went to San Francisco to check out a college and to celebrate her 25th birthday. Staff was Amazing. They treated us like queens. Very friendly, Kind, caring. Loved the location. A great place to spend your first time in the area. Loved the tea and Sherry hour. Yum. Missed not having a gym.

The place has location only. The room is tiny with old junk furniture and dirty carpet from 60s and 80s, had to leave window open all the time in November. The place has about 2 minutes of charm and then you notice eveything is dirty and not maintained. Very overpriced compared to others in area. I have stayed twice, will... More

The hotel is more characterful than a lot of business hotels in the area, but does lack in facilities. I felt I was mis-sold as there was no Gym on site. Instead there is a gym at a partner hotel around a block away, but there is no shower or changing facility at this partner hotel, so it's a pretty... More
