My wife and I visited family and friends in San Francisco and returned to the Kensington Park. The location, half a block from Union Square, is excellent. While San Francisco is one of the nation's best dining cities, there are more than half a dozen of restaurants within a block of this hotel, making it easy to eat at any... More

Stayed at this hotel for 2 weeks. This was my first ever trip to USA and i was very worried about the place where i would live for 2 weeks, but this hotel removed all my worries. The hotel is located perfectly. You are at the union square, at the same time BART is pretty close, so you can get... More

Older hotel but loads of character. The room would have benefited with a minibar but made up with tea and coffee making facilities. The bed was extra comfy with lovely linen. Happy hour in the lobby with Sherry and Coffee was an unexpected pleasure with a great pianist and guitarist adding to the atmosphere. Great location, 2 minute walk to... More

I was gratefully welcomed by the front desk agent Velichka. She answered all the questions for me (as a first time visitor of SF), provided a city map and suggested places to visit, and she was very helpful giving info about the city in general. The hotel is very nice in general. Nice location near Union Square. I am highly... More

As with anywhere in the city, there is no parking. The hotel is upscale. Furnishings are very comfortable. Beds were awesome! 5 pillows on each double bed- no skimping there! The room itself was small but it really fit the venue. There is a theater inside the hotel. Staff are excellent! Very helpful and courteous. We have hotel a 4... More

Stayed here about 2 weeks ago whilst touring USA and Mexico. Lovely hotel with old world charm but modern facilities. Good location just off union square and only a short walk to Powell street BART station and trams to the waterfront. Great front desk staff, clean rooms, comfy bed and a lovey touch, sherry, tea and music in the late... More

We arrived for a 3 night stay to find the hotel covered in scaffolding. This, however, did not spoil our visit. We arrived to book in promptly. David ( I think was his name) was extremely helpful. He gave us so much information and recommendations for places to visit and eat. We were happy with our room - I was... More

We stayed here for a 50th birthday party and for our wedding. The hotel was in a great location, rooms were very clean and beds were comfortable. The only complaint I have is that there is no counter space in the bathroom and no shelves in the shower. Also, several people in our party had issues with keys, but other... More

We didn't realize that the building was being rehabbed until we arrived and found the entire front in scaffolds. Our first room on the 7 th floor faced another building and was rather dark but quiet. The paint was chipping and the shower leaked. The bathroom looked liked something in the 1930s. We were able to change our room the... More

My husband & I stayed at the Kensington Park Hotel and were very pleased. We were attending a wine event at Farallon (the fabulous restaurant in the same building) and also had dinner there, so the location was perfect! The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We were able to check-in early, check-out late, and leave our car the next... More
