Very comfortable bed, silent, close to main stores and restaurants at Union Square and easy way out to other touristic places in SF. Vallet parking is expensive (U$45/day) but is a common practice in hotels in SF. No breakfast at hotel, but there are many options around. Ah, and a great high speed Wi-Fi.

The only good thing of the hotel is the location, in the center of SF. Ok, I know, I am not in the middle-of-nothing and I have to pay to be in the most wanted city of US… I know that prices of hotels are rising up and down any day according to the demand like in a stock market…... More

The only negative feedback I can provide is that the bathroom in our room could have been updated, the lighting wasn't great and the cold water leaked a little. Other then that we loved the Kensington Park! The bed was very comfortable, the staff was very friendly, we loved the location and being located near Union Square. David, the Concierge... More

I have to say that my stay at The Kensington Park Hotel was one of the best experiences I've ever had at any hotel regardless of price or prestige. My fiancé and I eloped to San Francisco and decided to makeThe Kensington Park our home-base while we were there. We were not disappointed. At check-in the front desk clerk set... More

We stayed here for 2 nights just before Christmas. We asked for a quiet room - willing to sacrifice a potential view! Staff at desk very polite and helpful. Our room was on the 6th floor- lower floors had a ballroom, meeting rooms etc but we were not disturbed by these at all. Room was smallish. bed comfortable and everything... More

Building used to be an Elks Lodge and so no glitzy sterility of new hotels but rather charming setting. Best thing going is that its so very close to Union Square for restaurants and walk-able to Curran Theater. San Francisco Playhouse is in this hotel so we booked a show and stayed in the hotel. Bed, linens comfy. Coffee provided... More

I think the problem with this hotel is overstatement. They emphasize grandness when in truth it's a pretty funky place and things are not as expected. I pulled up to front which was under scaffolding, no valet that was advertised, had to wrestle luggage from car while crowds bumped into me. Not a good impression. Check-in was fine and I... More

Set 2 mins walk from Union Square, this hotel is central to everywhere... parking can be a little difficult however we found an easily accessible garage just around the corner for approx $30 for 24hrs. The staff were friendly, the hotel was clean and well maintained, the rooms were of a good size and the pillows were gorgeously plush!! Very... More

The Kensington Park was in a perfect location for our trip. We were near shopping, restaurants, bars, etc. We never needed a taxi because we could walk to all our desired spots. The hotel was older but was very clean and very quaint. The staff was great and willing to help with all our needs. We will definitely stay here... More

San Francisco is a difficult city to drive in. It was wonderful to have valet parking (for a surcharge) and step into a charmed, historic hotel. The staff were wonderful and caring. The 4pm sherry and hot tea was delightful. The rooms were small but spectacular. We had a corner room with a view of Union Square and the sound... More
