Nice city center hotel. Friendly staff with great recommendations. Room was nice on the smaller side but nice. Bed was comfortable and shower was great. The hotel is boutique and we loved this. The hotel offers tea in the afternoon which was a nice touch. The hotel as many cafes and restaurants close by which was helpful. We really enjoyed our... More

we cannot say enough good things about the hotel. The location , firstly, is excellent, Local to the Kensington District and across a bridge to downtown. The staff was fabulous, helpful, and most friendly. Against expectations, the restaurant proved to be to-notch. Room and bed excellent. What more could a guest want ?

I spent 6 days and 5 nights there and during my stay the staff was great. The staff were always so polite and helpful if you needed anything. David and Giovanni (Gio) helped me get a few tours booked included at Yosemite National Park and they really know great bars off the beaten path that have some really great food... More

I stayed here during a business trip earlier in the year. The hotel itself was quaint but also exuded that city touch, something I really enjoyed with the decor throughout the hotel. Location is excellent, right in the heart of the city surrounded by restaurants and even with a Macy's just a block away. The staff (valets especially) were extremely... More

Good location in the city, near Union Square with it`s abundance of dinner`s, restaurants and shops. From checking in onwards, all the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Liked the tea and sherry in the lobby area every day!! A great stay and would go back to the hotel if in San Francisco again.

Very nice old fashioned hotel in great location, just on the corner of Union Square! We had a mix up in our booking, and turned up two days earlier than our reservation. Velichka, front desk agent, was a huge help in sorting us out at no extra charge! Very efficient and helpful! Thanks Velichka!! Unfortunately, only spent one night in... More

Stayed at this hotel for convenience because our annual office Christmas party was nearby. The room's coffee service was minimal but we weren't staying here to sip coffee in our room. Located on a very busy street, but we had no trouble sleeping at night. The lobby and rooms have an old charm to them, but our bed was very... More

The Kensington Park Hotal was very comfortable, clean and good value. Very close to Union Square and the cable car lines. There was no air con, but there was a ceiling fan. After a busy day it was a nice relief to lay down on the comfy beds. A great place to stay in San Fran.

Just returned from 4 delightful days in SFO. Weather was UNBELIEVABLE!! When was the last time you got a SUN BURN in that city? However this report is more about the hotel rather than the city itself. The Kensington Park is a very nice "boutique" hotel located just off Powell and only a stones throw from Union Square. The location... More
