Near Union Square and the heart of San Francisco. Excellent hotel with a whisper of history over itself. Liked the tea and sherry in the lobby area every day and the possibility for fitness near by. Neat and comfortable rooms. Although it was not airconditon there was a ceiling fan for cooling. Recommended.

We were picking up family at SFO and booked a room with 2 double beds for one night . We paid a little over $400 with valet parking. When we arrived we were told that we'd been upgraded to a suite because the room we booked was not available. The upgrade meant a king bedroom(yay), 2 bathrooms (yay) a broken... More

Firstly, the location was absolutely perfect. Right in the middle of the downtown area, close to Union Square with transport connections to everything. Next the building – super quirky and brimming with original features. Even the plumbing had personality, in our room the original brass taps had been preserved over a beautiful old ceramic bathtub. Lastly, the service was great,... More

Stayed on the 9th floor for 2 nights. Comfortable bed and nice amenities. The blind and drapes need replacing as are tattered, and couldn't have the window open due to someone barbequing below the room. WiFi was hard to access, but a phone call to the desk rectified that easy enough. I didn't know how to work the overhead fan... More

Awoke at 2am Pacific to make flight for all-day meetings in San Francisco. Enjoyed a light dinner and was ready to sleep by 7:30. Arrived at the hotel looking forward to a cold, dark room. Upon getting to my stuffy, warm room I learned that the hotel has no air conditioning and the only way to cool the room down... More

The hotel is in a great location, right at Union Square, but overall, very disappointed in the hotel. There was a definite lack of character in the hotel and feel a lot of recent renovations were done on the cheap, from the vinyl replacement windows to the cheap feel in the bathroom. Booked the room months in advance and asked... More

We stayed here at the Kensington Park Hotel. It's very nice, maybe 1920's style. Service was very good , beds are so comfy and situated in a prime location at Union Square. You have several means of public transit to get around especially to Fishermans Wharf.

we cannot say enough good things about the hotel. The location , firstly, is excellent, Local to the Kensington District and across a bridge to downtown. The staff was fabulous, helpful, and most friendly. Against expectations, the restaurant proved to be to-notch. Room and bed excellent. What more could a guest want ?
