Few steps from Union Square, what else do you want!? Really nice fancy rooms. Helpful staff as helped us with our transport to the airport. Booked it on the day as there was a mistake with another hotel we were suppose to stay in, went there 10 minutes later and had the room straight away!

I've stayed at most of the hotels around Union Square, and this is one of my favorites. The Kensington Park is in a wonderful classic building with an SF feel to it. The hotel shares the building with The Elks Club, The Light Opera Gallery, Farallon Restaurant and the Post Street Theater. Clean and pleasant ambiance and a friendly helpful... More

We spent two nights here in January. The location is outstanding. Just 1/2 block off of Union Square. Lots to see and do - walk to great restaurants and wine bars. It is not 21st century Four Seasons type with tons of amenities, but it is clean and well maintained. Friendly helpful staff. Very comfortable, and we were able to... More

We stayed at this darling "Personality Hotel" while attending the Fancy Food Show at the Marcone Center. The staff was very helpful in getting us directions for walking around, planning fun outings and even giving us an umbrella in the down pour that night! Right in the middle of Union Square, in the middle of all the action. Safe and... More

The hotel needs renovation. Very basic but high on price. I suggest to book othe hotels and better with same price. Good location. I don't advise it for luxury travelers. Gets noisy early in the morning

After reading the reviews on trip advisor, i was really looking forward to this hotel. It is old but has a lovely character about it. The hotel has a theatre taking up several floors which was really different. For a family of 4, the rooms were ok in size, quiet and the location great to all of the activities in... More

We stayed here because we had our work party at this hotel and received a great rate. The rooms are average size and the hotel is in a good location for Union Square Christmas activities. It is an older hotel- so don't expect new construction. That being said, I prefer the old hotels in downtown SF. Our view was not... More

We LOVED this hotel...it was our first time staying at Kensington and we couldn't have asked for anything more. The check in was a breeze (even arrived an hour early), the staff were all so pleasant, the location is phenomenal, the hotel itself was quaint & the room was beyond our expectations. The room was huge...the shower, sitting area, the... More

I like things that are old. Older things, like this hotel, are unique and not cookie cutter. The Kensington Park definitely takes you back. The lobby was great. I really liked the ceilings and the old-time feel. Our room also felt dated, in a good way, with the decor and the fixtures. It was small but comfortable. The hotel's amenities... More

Wonderful desk person started my stay off well. Had a corner king on the tenth floor with a great view of ice skaters in Union Square. Comfortable bed and good size room for San Francisco. Heater couldn't turn off all the way. I prefer sleeping in a cool room, but opening the window a little solved the problem. Shower fixture... More
