Really enjoyed staying here. Good location, very comfortable communal areas, good breakfast and fast wifi. A couple of minor things though. Top bunks are very high and whilst the curtains on the beds are good it does mean you don't really meet anyone in your dorm.

Stayed here for two nights with a couple of friends recently after remembering it from a trip in '03! We'd booked a dorm but they put us in a 3 person room with a double bed and single bunk above it. We didn't mind as they didn't charge us any more than dorm price but it could have been a... More

When we arrived at midnight and lugged our bags up the many stairs we where told to walk back down the street to their sister hotel- we had to communication about this prior to check in. The sister hotel the Dakota was amazing, fairly clean and tidy and fantastic free breakfast and wonderfully close to all tourist essentials. We even... More

My experience was great! The beds were comfy and the staff were lovely. - Found TV in kitchen made people very un social. Once TV was off though it was super easy to make friends around the hostel. The rooms were great and facilities were clean and worked well. The day I checked in I was a few hours early... More

This was the best week in a hostel ever. The hostel was probably the second best I have ever stayed in in terms of facilities. It is well looked after and most of the staff are really warm and friendly. I have slept really well here due to the bunks having curtains and walls between each other which is a... More

Great amenities, kitchen was clean, breakfast was great (only assumed basic toast and oatmeal) a lot more than expected! Beds in the 10 person dorm where comfortable, the ladder was a little hard to get up do if you have any issues with climbing request a bottom bunk! In a good location most things seemed within a short walking distance.... More

Stayed here for about a month (long story) -- this hostel does a lot of things well and is in a great location with easy transportation options connecting you to all over SF. I loved loved loved the free breakfast (nutella, oatmeal, cream cheese, fruit salad, juice, coffee, tea, etc) and how each bad has its own shelf, curtain, night... More

Very convenient central location. I stayed in a 4-bed dorm and the beds were huge, comfortable, came with their own outlets, lights and privacy curtains, as well as lockers (bring your own lock, or buy one for $5). Towel rental is $1 for the entire length of your stay, and they can arrange a $9 shuttle to take you to... More

The Adelaide Hostel is definitely a good place to stay in San Francisco. It can be very difficult to find an affordable, decent place to stay in SF, especially on short notice, and this place is a good choice. It's centrally located in the Union Square district, and there is lot of public transport in the vicinity. Getting around is... More

In a great central location, close to nearby reasonably priced car park lots. Modern and clean with lots of amenities, inc washing and computers. Free breakfast with lots of variety. Got upgraded to a double room which was really nice, it was just like a hotel room.
