Most likely you won't want a car in SF, so this location is excellent. A few steps from the BART station - nicely located in great mall with shops, coffee, and restaurants. Close walking to everything. I felt safe walking at night. The rooms were average and nothing spectacular. The price was pretty high for what you get, beyond the... more

Hotel Milano was in the perfect location for us. Step outside, take a few steps and you'll find yourself at the doors of the Westfield San Francisco Center, take a few more steps and you're on Market St., Walk across the steet and you're where the cable cars turn around beside Hallidie Plaza. Union Square Plaza is but a short... more

The only thing good about this hotel is the location. The pictures on line make it seen to be a lot nicer hotel then it really is. If you dont care about anything else you will be fine. The room is large but everything else is okay. Have stayed at other very nice hotels for less money. This room was... more

I thought this hotel was great. It is located right near the trolley, within a short walking distance to the Moscone Center and tons of shopping. The hotel rooms were more modern than I had expected. The room was clean, and bathroom was updated. The only downfall was the hair dryer in the room was broken and the lighting was... more

My wife and I stayed here in August 2008. Room was small, but incredibly quiet for a downtown location. Staff was ok - had some challenges getting Internet connectivity and staff was somewhat helpful in getting it to work. Probably the best thing about the hotel is it's location beside a nice shopping mall on Market St. more

I have been going to SF since 2004 to attend JavaOne. The conference is usually held between May and June. For three years, I have stayed in Hotel Nikko. But with a tight budget this year, I decided to scout for a more affordable alternative. My budget was ~$150. I checked a lot of hotels in the Union Square area... more

Central, very clean, great location, decent for the high SF prices on a busy week. Tiny TV, but we are not into TV. Rooms really made one feel well-treated. Nothing worn or such. Best without a car as parking is an issue. more

2004 was the start of what was to be the traveling bug for me, and note, I was not as jaded then as I am now. Staying at the Milano was a last-minute call for me. I was supposed to stay with a girlfriend, but had to move out when she and the boyfriend had a tiff. So my room... more

The hotel sounds Itailian but it is not. The decor is asian and art deco. There is a Tia resturant in the lobby. Parking is over priced $40 a day. The room service is lacking 1hour for eggs and toast. The front desk staff is nice but it was just a werid experience. The TV in the room was old... more
