I have read some reviews with complaints about the King Salmon Inn and would like to level set/put things in perspective. The first thing you should know about King Salmon is: everything must be flown in as it cannot be reached by road; making fuel, food, rooms, etc. very expensive. We had a suite with 4 beds which, considering the geographic... More

Late with my review from my stay in July 2013, but would caution anyone to check if it has been remodeled. I paid about $250 a night for a dumpy room. Was transferred to another room where I shared it with a friend. In both rooms, + another of a friend, the toilet tank was leaking in the back. I... More

I stayed at the king salmon in when the KING KO INN was fully booked. I didn't think much about it, as I don't expect much from the hotels out there... Running water, a toilet/shower to myself, wifi, phone and a TV. There was no wifi, my phone didn't work, my tv wouldn't turn on and my toilet leaked all... More

Stayed one night room was neatly decorated, had new curtains and beds. The wifi didn't work but did have phone in the room which is important because Verizon phone doesn't work out there. Staff was nice housekeeper very nice young man, the only downer for our party was that it was a Monday when we checked in and the restaurant... More

Don't listen to these negative reviews. For rural Alaska and particularly the King Salmon/ Nankek area you will not find a better hotel, let alone for the price...I have stayed at the King Salmon Inn several times over the past couple of years, and although this is not the Ritz Carlton, the rooms are clean and comfortable and the staff... I spent three nights there, and chose the place based on a local's recommendation. I seldom complain about something as mundane as a hotel room, but I was very disappointed with this place. To begin, it seemed like the office staff could not get their act together, and it took several emails and phone calls to get the reserveration squared... More

Absolutely awful experience on a three-night stay! The hotel advertises phones and wi-fi in the rooms, restaurant, continental breakfast, and one mile from town. All wrong! No wi-fi; phones In the room could not make outside calls. Since our cell phone carrier (Verizon) does not operate in King Salmon, we were totally out of communications. You can go to the... More
