The Blue Nose Inn is positioned where it overlooks Bar Harbor and the Bay. Most beautiful setting.. everyone should strive to get up at least one early to view the sunrise. The lodging was quite nice and provided a very pleasant experience for us.. I have no negative comments at all --it met our expectations without a doubt. The restaurant... More

The Bluenose Inn (it's more of a hotel than inn) has a beautiful view and a good location basically in between Acadia and Bar Harbor so a convenient 5-ish minute drive to either place. There is a main building that has the check-in and several stories of rooms and then a separate building on the property that I stayed in... More

Thank you for reviewing your recent stay with us. I am glad that you took the time to check out the full range of accomodations we offer and based on your specific comments, I agree that you would probably really like the Mezzentop building. I do hope that we will have that opportunity to host you again. Likewise, we are... More

This hotel is beyond walking distance from town and for less money, you can stay at the Bar Harbor Inn & Spa, be right at the center of everything and still have a spa. I feel that we way overpaid for a dated very average room.

I appreciate you taking the time to write a review and am sorry to hear that you were not pleased with your stay with us. The location here is viewed by many and certainly me as actually preferrable to being directly in town. Our views are unmatched and the ability to be out of the hustle and bustle of town... More

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay. It's located walking distance of downtown Bar Harbor. The room was very spacious with a working fireplace and balcony overlooking the bay. The fridge was clean and working order so we were able to keep a supply of snacks on hand from the local grocery store. Convenient drive into Acadia for day hikes, and Jason in... More

Thank you. I am very pleased to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us. We love our location. We are not in the busy middle section of town yet we are really just a few blocks from Main Street. I am also pleased that you enjoyed your room with the fireplace and all of the amenities. We want for... More

The beds were very uncomfortable - very soft and backache inducing! The carpet can do with some upgrading. The driveway definitely needs seal coating!Very clean and easy access to most attractions. Indoor pool is nice but the outdoor one is too small.

We took the kids, ages 7 & 9 to Bar Harbor for the first time to experience Acadia. The Bluenose Inn is the perfect place for the family. Great accomodations! Awesome pools, perfect room with an unbeatable view from the balcony. Just outside downtown Bar Harbor. Close enough to walk. Just down the street from an Acadia Park entrance. Quiet!... More

Everything was great. Attentive personnel, great location, clean rooms, easy parking. Why 4 stars instead of 5? The hallway was in front of room, like a motel style. Meaning you can not open curtain on your window to have more light or enjoy the view without been observed by everyone who walks down the hallway.

Thank you for your great review. I am very happy to hear that you had a good experience and appreciated our staff, location, parking etc. It sounds like you stayed in the Stenna Nordica building and would have been happier in the Mezzentop where you would have had a completely private balcony. There is a price difference between the two... More

Unfortunately, we did not get to take advantage of the many amenities of the Bluenose, as we did not get to stay very long. Our room was clean and the bed was super comfortable. We stayed in the mizzentop area of the inn, on the 3rd floor. Wonderful view of the water from our balcony, as well as of the... More

This Inn is not in the heart of Bar Harbor which is a good thing. It's a little out of town but a very short drive to the town. We had no trouble parking or driving anywhere and it was prime summer time. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. There's a great restaurant a short walk up a hill... More
