My wife and I spent two nights recently at the Bluenose Inn. Given the top dollar price we paid I had top dollar expectations and overall I was not disappointed. The hotel is superb, quiet and comfortable. It is perched on a hill overlooking the harbor and when the fog permitted in the afternoons, the views were spectacular. Our room... more

This was our third visit, and as before, every aspect of this grand hotel is Five Star elegance. Our balcony had a sweeping panoramic view of the ocean and the shore of Bar Harbor. Gas fireplace in the room was very romantic. Large, well appointed room and bathroom. The Great Room was very elegant and provided a relaxing setting for... more

I love the Bluenose Inn. Our extended family meets there every May and enjoy the pools, the views, the piano music and beautiful lounge. It is a wonderful place to relax after a day in Acadia National Park or an afternoon shopping in Bar Harbor. It is a little ways from downtown, but I enjoy walking, and I like being... more

An interesting stopover on our trip round New England, the room was quite well appointed and comfortable. The breakfasts in one of the outbuildings were varied and freshly made, overall I'd be happy to recommend. more

Nice place with great rooms. Beautiful pool area. A walking distance from town, but if your looking to stay right in town this is not your place. At night, since we took a girls trip we drove to town because the walk is on the longer side. more

Our room in the Stenna Nordica building was first rate, beautifully decorated, extremely comfortable, with a wonderful view of the bay. The only caveat is that the location is a ways from the main harbor area and if you walk, like we did, be prepared for the traffic along the way...not a pleasant walk at all. I would have preferred... more

Stayed in a fourth floor mizzentop, a huge room overlooking the harbor, perfectly clean, extremely quiet, good king bed. Breakfast is available in an adjoining property up a steepish hill, older folks may want to drive there. Breakfast was a little off, pancakes made from mixes maybe. A minor fault, there are plenty of other breakfast places, if you care. more

I just spent my honeymoon at the Bluenose Inn in Bar Harbor. I have stayed in many fine hotels, but I have to relate my total delight with this property in terms of quality of room/facilities, service, and amenities. -My wife and I stayed in a suite on the 4th floor of the Mizzentop building overlooking the ocean. The room... more

This is a great spot in the Bar Harbor area. Located just out of the town, withing walking distance, or a short drive to all restaurants in town and Acadia. Staff was EXTREMELY pleasant and helpful. Stayed in the 'motel' Stenna Nordica units - rooms were a bit small, but very clean and comfortable - plus about $75 less per... more
