We stayed at the Primrose Inn for four nights on a recent trip to Bar Harbor. We were in Room 4 which has a nice little balcony with a mountain view in the distance. Great for enjoying coffee in the morning, along with the Washington Post or NY Times that Inn has via Kindle each day. Also great for a... More

We stayed at the Primrose on a recent trip to Bar Harbor and were not disappointed. It is an easy walk to downtown but far enough away to be peaceful. The outside of the inn is beautiful. Our room was spacious as was the bath. Breakfast and afternoon tea were both varied and excellent. It is a bit larger than... More

We stayed at the Primrose Inn the week of June 28, and left before the crazy busy Fourth of July weekend. This is a beautiful Inn, wonderful staff gourmet breakfast, wonder tea and cookies, cake in the afternoon! Melissa, the Inn Keeper, and Owner is very personable, helpful and professional. We have stayed at 5 star Hotels, and she has... More

My sister and I spent 4 nights at this wonderful B&B while visiting Bar Harbor. Charming is only one of the adjectives I would use to describe the place. Our room was immaculate, very comfortable (room 9). We enjoyed our wrap around porch in the afternoons after a long day of sightseeing, gazing out to a small wooded area and... More

We spent 3 nights at the Primrose and had a fantastic experience. The room contained quality furnishings and was spacious. The numbered parking space was much appreciated and the breakfasts were out of this world! We had Eggs Popeye, Orange French Toast with sausage, and much more. The staff was confident and extremely helpful. We used their folding chairs for... More

From the gingerbread waffles to the strawberry-baked French toast, to the triple chocolate cookies at tea time -- you'll find yourself hiking more so you won't feel so guilty at the table. The rooms are perfectly appointed with heavenly beds, fireplaces, sitting areas and private porches. Assigned parking, fresh flowers, absolutely spotless: this was the perfect inn. They even provide... More

My wife and l spent 6 wonderful days in Bar Harbor and Acadia National park staying at the primrose inn. We stayed at a bed and breakfast for the first time and could not have been more pleased. The breakfast had 2 choices of hot items plus cereals and baked goods. Afternoon tea and sweets were available after 4:00. Our... More

The Inn was perfect for our purposes. The room was spacious and well maintained. The staff was very friendly. It was well-located and well-supplied with books and DVDs. Very nice breakfasts. The common living room was a little small and could be more nicely furnished, but it did not detract at all from our stay. Would definitely recommend.

We loved staying here for 2 nights for our visit to Acadia and Bar Harbor. It is a very easy short walk to town and to the sand bar. Melissa, the owner/operator, was nice to visit with during the mornings - she was very friendly but not overbearing at all. She grew up basically across the street. If you are... More

The inn is nice. I believe it is owned by people who do not live on site. While the people who work there are very nice, you can tell that they work there instead of live and breathe the place. This makes for an interesting inn experience - almost a little more hotel like. The room was comfortable. The porches... More
