We stayed here for one week in August in the Holland room, which has its own private entrance and two bedrooms. It's one of the few rooms that accommodates 3 people. The room was pleasantly furnished and clean. It has a Jacuzzi tub which we used after a long day of hiking, biking, and kayaking. We even used the gas... More

Mary greeted us enthusiastically upon our arrival and showed us all the special touches offered by the Inn. Free water and sodas in a common refrigerator. Free CD audio tour of Acadia national park. Area to dry out our soaked boots from hiking. Rooms are large and well decorated in Victorian furniture and quilts. Comfortable bathrobes. All modern bathrooms. Wonderful... More

We loved it here!! We stayed for 2 nights and our only complaint was we wish we could have stayed longer!! The location is great!! It is a few blocks (easy walk) to the main bustling area of Bar Harbor which makes it nice and quiet for sleeping and relaxing!! It is also only a 5 minute drive to the... More

We had the pleasure of staying three nights at the Primrose Inn. The inn and grounds were lovely and well maintained. The room was spacious and spotless. We were given a tour of the inn and found that the staff has thought of everything you might need. They offer a CD for your car to narrate a trip through Acadia... More

The Primrose Inn is an excellent choice if are visiting Acadia NP. The facilities appear to be recently renovated in this 140 year old property. Most important the property is spotless. The owner Melissa has thought of everything. Breakfasts that offer a choice of two delicious dishes. Afternoon tea which included two fresh baked goodies will add weight to your... More

Stayed in 2 different rooms. They were both lovely. The room on the 2nd floor had it's own porch with 2 chairs and table, also jacuzzi with slippers and robes. Lovely bedroom as well. Breakfast was wonderful - both days! Baked goods at afternoon tea or lemonade was delicious. Was hard to leave the room to explore all the wonderful... More

Stayed two nights, it is as charming and comfortable as could be. The coffee and breakfast is really a step above the rest. Easy walk to a lot of good places to eat, the ocean, golf and trails. It is right on a main street but we spent time on our deck and could not hear the traffic. A+++

From check-in to check-out, this hotel was first class. Great breakfasts, always good coffee and snacks, excellent information available about Bar Harbor, and nice 10 minute walk into town. We felt our money to stay here was well spent. Hosts were very approachable and helpful, but reserved. When we visit again, we'll first seek lodging here.

We stayed at the Primrose Inn for four nights on a recent trip to Bar Harbor. We were in Room 4 which has a nice little balcony with a mountain view in the distance. Great for enjoying coffee in the morning, along with the Washington Post or NY Times that Inn has via Kindle each day. Also great for a... More

We stayed at the Primrose on a recent trip to Bar Harbor and were not disappointed. It is an easy walk to downtown but far enough away to be peaceful. The outside of the inn is beautiful. Our room was spacious as was the bath. Breakfast and afternoon tea were both varied and excellent. It is a bit larger than... More
