This has to be one of the cleanest places I've ever stayed. Rooms were comfortable, especially room 16, which has a large bathroom & private sitting room with TV. We stayed in room 8 for one night and although small, it was comfortable & clean. All staff were friendly & polite. Easy walk to town & quick drive to Acadia... More

Bed and Breakfast was wonderful...clean, comfortable, great breakfasts and gracious informative staff. The Bed and Breakfast even had an electric generator, when the power in the area went out due to a storm. Access to Acadia was close. It was an easy walk to "downtown" Bar Harbor.

This was our first stop on our travel though Maine. What a beautiful B&B with a fabulous breakfast and great location! We wished we had booked 2 nights here! Our room was very quiet, had a sitting room and absolutely spotless! The inn keepers were wonderful and most helpful. Breakfast had two wonderful hot options plus a cold buffet area.... More

We had originally planned on staying 2 nights but wanted to switch one of the days and add another one. Melissa, the owner, was very accommodating and was able to make the switch. Unfortunately, she was unable to add a night but gave us a list of some other places to stay. We stayed in 2 different rooms. For the... More

This Bed & Breakfast was wonderful. The rooms were just the right size, ours had a small sitting room which helped when my husband got up early. The owners of this Bed & Breakfast kept the character of this old house and updated it so you felt you were being pampered at a spa. The modern bathroom had a jacuzzi... More

After 7 nights on a cruise, it was a delight to stay at the Primrose Inn for a couple of nights before heading back to Colorado. Beautiful Victorian House with a welcoming staff. The owner is a wonderful hostess. The food was delicious. They accommodated our gluten-free diet. Water and snacks were available 24/7 with delicious baked goods in the... More

As a historic home owner, I enjoy staying at B&Bs, and I have stayed at many ... but my three nights at the Primrose were the best I have had anywhere in the US. We stayed in Room #1 - it is at the top of the stairs on the second floor, and it was spacious - when entering the... More

My husband and I stayed at the Primrose Inn while we vacationed in Bar Harbor for our honeymoon. The Primrose Inn is such a lovely and wonderful place to stay. The innkeepers are lovely people and made our stay very relaxing and comfortable. We stayed in Room 4 which was very quiet and extremely comfortable, has it's own private balcony... More

We stayed in numerous nice B&Bs but this was our favorite. Everything was wonderful. Maureen and Melissa are the perfect hosts. The Inn was charming, had character, was clean, cozy and perfect! The breakfast….can not say enough about it other than it was the most scrumptious and filling at any B&B we have been to. The Inn is centrally located... More

We stayed two nights in Bar Harbor and the Primrose Inn was a highlight of the trip. When we arrived, Maureen welcomed us into the home, showed us around and noted all of their amenities, which are numerous. Our second floor room was beautifully decorated and very clean. The bathroom was good size and well appointed. That evening, power was... More
