After staying for 3 nights in July it’s easy to see why this B&B is so highly rated on Trip Advisor. It is very convenient to both Bar Harbor and Acadia, yet it’s just outside the hustle and bustle of downtown. The buffet was excellent. We had an early morning excursion one day and they were nice enough to make... More

As Maureen - hope I have the name right - showed us around the b&b and explained everything to us, our jaws dropped open in disbelief and appreciation. From free on-loan DVDs (two or three shelves-ful to choose from) to maps, time- and money-saving tips, a free Acadia National Park guided tour CD (very useful), complimentary bottles of water, even... A two night stay at Primrose Inn was one of the highlights of our 3 week trip to New England. The inn is beautifully presented, the owner and staff are exceptional, and they have obviously put a great deal of thought into making sure that all your requirements are catered for. Breakfast was delicious, as was the endless supply of... More

I stayed at this Inn for 2 nights and found it very good. Warm welcome and the room was a good size. The bed was really comfortable and was made better by decent bedding lovely sheets. We arrived in time for afternoon tea, which was a nice touch, rum cake. The inn had a CD of Acadia NP and we... More

We were welcomed warmly when we checked in and were accommodated immediately even before the check-in time. We arrived on a weekday so we thought that it was not as busy although we found out later that they were fully booked for the week. The rooms are beautiful and spacious. We had a sitting area in our room that was... More

The Primrose Inn is a beautiful Inn. Our room was very nicely decorated and very clean. Breakfast and afternoon tea were delicious. The innkeeper is very friendly and helpful. The location was great for me. I could walk to the Catholic church on Sunday and the downtown shopping area is also within walking distance. Close to the harbor for boat... More

We stayed in this inn for 3 nights in October. We had a very clean and comfortable room. The staff is very friendly and always around to help with any issues. It's within walking distance to the main street of stores and restaurants. The breakfast is good, but not hearty. I also think there should be more variety for egg... More

Inn is beautiful as you drive up with a wraparound porch and beautiful flowers. The moment you enter you are greeted and given information about the inn and all that is available. Such as a GPS system to take with you to Acadia National Park if you chose to explore. Wonderful place so if time allows spend a day at... More

Great hospitality by all the staff. Room 4 was spacious & well appointed. Enjoyed the fireplace. A lot of convenient extras...cold water, and refreshments, racks of info on things to do. Helpful front desk staff. Convenient to downtown. Assigned parking. Breakfast promptly served, but just average...eg, waffles were tasteless. We would return.

This is the standard to which all other Inns should aspire to. Aside from the fact that its in a terrific location, both for walking into bar harbor and from driving to Acadia National Park, everything about this Inn is exceptional. Booking the room was easy and we had immediate responses to our email enquiries. We received an email before... More
