My husband and I stayed at the Primrose Inn while we vacationed in Bar Harbor for our honeymoon. The Primrose Inn is such a lovely and wonderful place to stay. The innkeepers are lovely people and made our stay very relaxing and comfortable. We stayed in Room 4 which was very quiet and extremely comfortable, has it's own private balcony... More

We stayed in numerous nice B&Bs but this was our favorite. Everything was wonderful. Maureen and Melissa are the perfect hosts. The Inn was charming, had character, was clean, cozy and perfect! The breakfast….can not say enough about it other than it was the most scrumptious and filling at any B&B we have been to. The Inn is centrally located... More

We stayed two nights in Bar Harbor and the Primrose Inn was a highlight of the trip. When we arrived, Maureen welcomed us into the home, showed us around and noted all of their amenities, which are numerous. Our second floor room was beautifully decorated and very clean. The bathroom was good size and well appointed. That evening, power was... More

Everything about the Primrose Inn is great, from the welcome, to the rooms, to the breakfasts. We stayed in one of the smaller rooms which was cosy but in no way confining. The decor is interesting and pretty much immaculate. It takes about 10 minutes stroll into the main part of town and there are plenty of eating places close... More

We stayed here in room #2 in July 2014. The room (close to town) was immaculate and well decorated in make it very inviting. The wallpaper and sheer curtains had the prettiest green and white print which warmed the room up. There were lamps beside the bed made of birdcages and had 2 little birds in them (not real). The... Spent 4 nights at Primrose Inn recently and had a wonderful time. Inn keeper Melissa was a wonderful host and gave us terrific suggestions for scenic drives, restaurants and things to do. The Inn was spotless and offered extremely comfortable amenities and delicious afternoon tea with pastries as well as great breakfasts each day. Couldn't have asked for a nicer... More

Stayed for 2 nights in Room 7, a small suite, while on a special anniversary trip in June 2014. Comfortable bed, good chairs, lighting and lovely decor. The breakfasts were truly wonderful -- as were cookies & cake in the afternoon. Many thoughtful and guest-friendly amenities: cooler for wine; guest fridge for snacks; fresh coffee 24/7; DVDs; computer, etc.. We... More

Actually stayed in june 2013 for our 40 th anniversary. We stayed in room 1 and had a fabulous time in Bar Harbor. The room was lovely and we used the fireplace to shake those early June chills they have in Bar Harbor. This room had a large nath with spa tub and a private sitting porch.Breakfasts were delicious and... More

My wife and I spent three days in Bar Harbor at the Primrose. All of the other reviews have hit the high points of the great value of the Inn. Due to our lack of firm plans, we were not able to stay all three nights in one room. The first night we stayed in Room 3. We were late... More
