This was a return visit to Bar Harbor and the Maples Inn. We stayed three years ago and always wanted to go back. To our surprise, the Inn had been sold to a lovely couple (Leigh and Matthew) who made our visit fantastic. Matt created delicious breakfast choices each morning, and Leigh navigated the ins and outs of booking trips... More

Very welcoming hosts, breakfast was delicious and our room was very comfortable, found the informal atmosphere very relaxing, would have liked to have stayed in the area longer in the area and would most definitely use this as a base for a future visit

My husband and I booked our room at Maples Inn about 6 weeks before our vacation. We had read the reviews, saw the pictures and thought that the Inn would suit us quite nicely. Then several weeks later I called the Inn to ask a few questions and was told that in the meantime the Inn had changed ownership. Matt... More

Lovely welcoming hosts, delicious breakfast, 7 unique rooms. Centrally located so that you can walk to shops and restaurants and the waterfront. Lots of guidebooks to borrow to help you explore Acadia National Park.

Lucky us - we stumbled upon the Maples Inn while walking in central Bar Harbor, and it was their opening day of the season. Stayed in a beautiful suite with a canopy bed, and enjoyed the delicious treats downstairs in the foyer (coffee, tea and chocolate cookies in the evening), as well as a superb breakfast - blueberry pancakes and... We very much enjoyed our stay here. The inn keeper was very friendly and welcoming. The room was clean. The breakfasts were delicious and filling and the other guests were quite pleasant to dine with. The afternoon snacks were very nice as well.

This small inn is very well situated in Bar Harbor, walking distance from the harbor, shops, and restaurants. We stayed in the Weeping Willow room, which was comfortable and very nice sized for an older home. The common rooms were also comfortable and nicely appointed. Don't miss a chance to spend some time sitting on the outstanding front porch. Mark... More

We were there with some friends last week, and the inn is outstanding. It is a very nice historic building just a few minute walk from the center of town and restaurants. Mark is a very friendly host, and he offers a delicious breakfast. Both our rooms were very nice, but it was the atmosphere that made the stop worth... More

Maples Inn was just perfect for us and right in the centre on a quiet street with parking. Mark is so friendly and made us most welcome. Our room was lovely with a private roof terrace. Mark is a fountain of local knowledge and couldnt do enough to make our stay special. Our friends from DC came up to join... More

Now I know where to stay next time I go to "Bah Habah". And there will be a next time for sure!! Excellent room, excellent location, superb host, stunning breakfast, friendly other guests and generally a wonderful atmosphere. The Wifi signal was a bit weak in my room, but still workable. Only once during my whole stay did I have... More
