Looks great from outside . Dark interior . Poor service. Remote control on T.V did not work. Staff tried to call manager owner no response. Pilot light not on in fire place. Luckly he was able to start. Beds uncomfortable . Traveling with family members. Respon se from manager in morning was the mattresses were new and we could of... more

We did not stay at the Inn, but dined there. Our B&B called to reserve our table. The food was excellent. The special was lobster thermadore for my wife and I ordered the beef filet and lobster. It was the most expensive meal of our 8 day Maine trip, but was also the highlight. It was SO GOOD, that 2... more

We don't actually love B&Bs, so this one was actually a nice surprise by being more private and quiet than most. Super location right in the middle of BH and we got a very good last-minute rate for 2 nights; had to change rooms after 1 night but the 2nd room was actually better. Delicious breakfast in the morning on... more

This is a sweet bed and breakfast. The owners make you feel like you are staying at their home. We had a balcony room, which was very spacious and sweet. The food at Michelle's was delicious. The only problem - we could not walk off our fantastic dinner because our room was literally steps away! (We should have gone out... more

Visited for dinner only, did not stay at the Inn. Our experience was excellent. Great food, exemplary service, great atmosphere. Would highly recommend this dining experience, Thank you. The lobster was excellent, the filet was cooked to perfection with great presentation, the best steak in ages, the lobster bisque was fantastic, incredibly flavorful and the chocolate bag for two was... more

My wife and I stayed at the Ivy Manor on July 4 through July 8th of 2008. Our five night stay was delightful and relaxing. It was just the kind of R & R vacation that we were looking for. The Staff at the B&B were all very nice and helpful. Judi and her family took good care of us... more

My husband and I stayed at this property for a weeklong getaway recently. Be sure to dine at the restaurant, Michele's, but we don't recommend a stay at the Inn. The location on Main St. is excellent, but the Inn itself was a huge disappointment. First, our room smelled like animal urine. There was a large stain on one of... more

My husband and I stayed a the Ivy last fall and I can honestly say it was our favorite getaway ever! The mear mention of New England and we both launch into our visit to "Ba-Ha-Ba"! Our room was spacious & quite for being located in the center of town and the breakfast buffet, outstanding. We ordered the "Oatmeal Brule'",... more

My husband and I requested a room with NO stairs at the Ivy Manor Inn, Bar Harbor, Maine. After driving 5 hours from Boston, we were given a room down in a basement and with stairs to get to. Once in the room, we found that the bathroom door would not close because it was too low and could not... more

I recently had the privilege to stay twenty days and nights at the Ivy Manor Inn. I could not ask for a more memorable experience. From the very moment I entered the Inn to the very moment I turned in my key to leave I felt as if I were the only person staying there. I felt as if I... more
