Gorgeous accommodations in an even more gorgeous and peaceful location just minutes from bustling Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. Sit back in a lawn chair with a glass of good wind and marvel at the view over Frenchman Bay. If you wish, follow the winding path down to the water an take in the the rock cliffs close-up. The... What a jewel! The rocky beach is spectacular, not to mention the walk down, great place for early morning private yoga. The inn is very cozy and welcoming, even on a rainy day, with many places to read or sketch. The room and deck was first rate, the bed was very comfortable, the breakfast scrumptious. Jeanie is a wonderful baker... More

We stayed at the Inn at Bay ledge for 2 nights during a trip of the coast of Maine. The view of this property is the best ever. From our room we had a view of the ocean. Sitting on the deck of our room was beautiful. The property is kept up beautifully. The interior was very tastefully done as... More

Each suite as well as the outbuildings, which I did not stay in, had a different decorative touch which really looked like a photo shoot from Architects Digest. The owner has amazing skills as well as a knack for creating cozy spaces and seating areas for large groups of visitors. The oceanfront local is unbeatable and the fact that much... More

Thank you for your visit and review! It is so nice to hear from your guests! I am glad you found the inn enjoyable! It is always a work in progress, from the rooms to the grounds! We are really enjoying the gardens right now. We are adding new herbs and more lillies! Thank you again, Jeani, Jack and Pearl More

We have been visiting Acadia National Park for years but hadn't found the perfect place to stay - until now. The Inn at Bay Ledge is about 3 miles outside downtown Bar Harbor, away from the tourist hype. It is peaceful and beautiful, overlooking the bay with not a cruise ship in sight. The grounds are beautifully landscaped. Jack and... More

The Inn was outstanding from every aspect... from the greeter on our first night, to the cozy room with our private deck to the amazing 3 course breakfast... each attention to detail was thought through... Jack and Jeani certainly take pride in making sure your experience is beyond description... the Inn is just far enough from the touristy town, to... More

This property is a little bit of a drive to Bar Harbor proper. No big deal, but if you plan on drinking just keep it in mind. It's a bit dark on the road. The staff was exceptional!! Thanks for everything! Breakfast was great. The room was 'cozy', which is to say small. But very comfortable. But we never get... More

You couldn't ask for a better location than this inn. The staff was friendly, flexible, and helpful. The bed was very comfortable and the view from the deck area was great. Unfortunately the bathroom was a crowded and dated. Overall this is a nice B&B that we would visit again.

My husband could not have picked a better place for our second honeymoon. We stayed in the private summer cottage - like our own little home. Very romantic with stone fireplace and overlooking the ocean. The Inn location is perfect, close enough to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park, but far enough away from the noise. The entire place is... More

Spent 2 nights here and could have easily stayed longer. The B&B is in the perfect location - near the sea, very quiet and has a lovely front porch. Jean's breakfasts are not only satisfying but also very inventive, the cheese and sun dried tomato souffle being my personal favourite. There are also tables for multiple couples so you can... More
